This house was gorgeous, and was the perfect getaway for our family for a long weekend before school starts back! Every detail was covered in the furnishing of the home, with lots of extras for their guests! We were really impressed and can’t wait to go back!

We loved our stay at Branching Out! The house felt very spacious even with 7 people. Very clean and great location, 10 min drive to local restaurants and a 5 min drive to the public beach. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

We had a nice time. The area is quiet with a lot of friendly people. Not so many day attractions unless your family likes doing things outdoors. Chimney Rock park is extremely beautiful and the accommodations were great. They weren’t cheap with cleaning supplies etc. Yonder (the property management company) was really responsive and helpful. The outdoor trash receptacle was not bear proof, but I am sure the company or host will deal with the issue by the time you read this review. I would definitely recommend this property. There were also plenty of board/card games for the family, and it felt like the owner/Yonder had a lot of foresight in setting up the house so it would have everything you need.

Beautiful cabin! Our team was in town to help with rebuilding Chimney Rock. It was wonderful to have such a great place to come back to after long, hot days. Everything was just as we hoped it would be!

We visit Chimney Rock/Lake Lure several weeks a year. Sadly, the place we used to stay at was destroyed by Hurricane Helene. We have finally found a wonderful place in Branching Out. After a recent 10 day visit we hated to leave. The distance to Chimney Rock Village and their delicious restaurants was minutes by vehicle. We had a view of the mountains behind the home. The place was located in a wooded area. Nice and shady with a screened in porch. Immaculate. The kitchen was fully furnished. We felt like we had been invited to stay at someone's home while they were away. Very quiet neighborhood. We slept the best that we have in a long while. Grandma can sleep in the first floor bedroom with a walk in shower. Bedrooms, bathrooms and outdoor access to views are to be had on all 3 floors. The place is very family oriented. We had one question and the host answered the phone immediately. We hope other families will enjoy a visit to Branching Out as much as we did.

Mountain House in Lake Lure

The house was great and well equipped. The deck where the hammock is needs cleaning. It is not very inviting as is. I would stay here again.

Relaxing stay in the mountains

We stayed here for a long weekend -- location was great - close to public beach where you can rent kayaks and SUPs. Very close to restaurants if you don't feel like cooking, but the kitchen of this property was well stocked including coffee k-pods, creamer, and sugar. Only a 45 minute drive to the Biltmore, where we spent one of our days, and only a couple miles to Chimney Rock Park with views like no other. Only thing I wished this property had was direct access to the lake itself.

Branching Out is a picture perfect mountainside retreat! The screened porch is a real highlight, the ideal place to enjoy your morning coffee. The kitchen is well equipped with new pots and pans, a complete set of dishes and every utensil you need to cook a family meal. Everything was clean and prepared for our arrival. Our only wish was that all the bedrooms had some sort of darkening shades. The upstairs bedrooms have no window coverings so the sun comes in early. Overall, a lovely stay!

Quick getaway

We took our college and high school kids and their friends up for a few days. The house was well-equipped and had plenty of space for everyone. I think we spent the most of our trip on the screened porch honestly. We did expect to be a little closer to the lake or have some kind of access since the house was advertised as "on the lake" but it was still a perfect stay. The bonus room upstairs was a huge hit for the boys. Tons of games and places to hang out! The community lake access is quite limited.. $10/ person to get in and only open from 10am-6pm.
