Beautiful West Philly home as pictured

The home is just as nice as you can see in the photos. Eight people stayed here comfortable for a three day weekend. The kitchen was great and the rooftop offered a wonderful place to hang out with great views of Philly. The place worked out great for us to have a group of friends get together in Philly to celebrate a birthday. The hosts were excellent to communicate with and were responsive to all our needs. The location is easily accessible to the main roads, but it should be noted that the neighborhood is not one with desirable features like cafes, coffee shops, etc... It is not a walkable destination, but the neighbors we saw were kind and welcoming. My hope is that new homes like this one will help to elevate this part of West Philly in time. I would recommend this house to anyone not intimidated by city life.

Birthday girls nights

Booked this property for a birthday, which was approved by the host prior to booking. The issues arose when the host called at 5:46a stating that the neighbors saw multiple ppl going in and out all night. At this time me & the remaining ppl(8) were cleaning up our decorations & those that were staying the night(4) were getting ready for bed. Immediately following the call the host messaged me through Vrbo restating what she said in the phone call, I promptly responded to that message & any extra guests had left at this point. After some time with no response I went to bed. The host called again at 6:36a & texted my cell at 6:46a stating our reservation was cancelled, then called 3 times from a “no caller ID” number. At this time everyone was asleep, so I was not answering. The host entered the home at 9am saying we had to leave, that she had been there since 5a & she was calling the cops. We gathered our things & once our last item was outside the door the host shut the door on us without us properly speaking about everything. I’ll admit now that our reservations were for 6 ppl but 12 ppl were there at one point in time. These individuals came to drop off gifts or to simply see the birthday girl for a few minutes. However, what I simply will not do is be accused of things & take responsibility for things we did not do. She accused us of smoking in the home, moving furniture & a few other things as well that we did not do. I would never rebook again or recommend.
