Hemingway Retreat: 2 BR, 2 BA Apartment in Wilmington, Sleeps 4

This 1885 historic triplex has been creatively restored. They kept the best parts, the hardwood floors and massive brick fireplace which now serves as a center piece! Watch the world go by from the cute rocking chair front porch. The apartment has an open concept living, dining, & kitchen. The updated kitchen has granite counter tops and everything you need, including a Keurig coffeemaker. Down the hall there are two full bathrooms, one with a tub and one with a beautiful tiled walk in shower & washer/dryer. One bedroom has a queen, the other a king with a walk in closet. Off the king bedroom is access to the back porch which leads you to the shared courtyard. Located right across the street from the Castle St Arts & Antique District where you could spend hours perusing the unique shops, cafes, & restaurants. All while being a 15 min walk to Historic Downtown & 20 min walk to the Cargo District. Enjoy everything Wilmington has to offer! Long term stays are allowed, inquire within for monthly rates.

Very Nice Air B&B

Enjoyed staying at this location. Very close to downtown Wilmington, enjoyed walking through the historic area to get to the downtown.

Learning opportunity

This was my first Vrbo so it was a huge learning experience. Parking was tough depending on the time of day. We had to get parkimg before the restaurant opened or there was no parking on the street we were staying. The house is old which is cute. One bedroom has a foam pad on it which shifts a lot if you are a restless sleeper. If you plan on spending a lot of time inside maybe bring more comfortable chairs. We were out and about mostly so we did ok. Cute little kitchen.

Close to river walk

Overall we had a nice stay. The furniture was not very comfortable and chairs had stains. No ice maker annd only one ice tray. Apartment was clean and had a little patio out back. I wouldn’t pick this place again but the price is good.

Convenient & cozy

Just enough space for my husband and i and our adult son. We were able to cook breakfast and dinner. The king bed and LR furniture weren't the most comfortable. 2/4 bulbs in kit didnt work. Texted about trash but recd no response.

Charming little apartment in historic downtown Wilmington!

The place was clean. I got off to a bumpy start because I deleted the check in email with all the important information on it and didn’t realize it until the minute I was leaving. Contacted the rental agency via phone and some got back to me with all the information i needed within 30 minutes. The place could use some upkeep however, notice the floors sagging badly in the back bedroom and the gutters over the back porch don’t look to have been cleaned in years. But all said, for the price and location it’s a great deal for the money.

Not a place to sleep
