Sasha Yakovleva is a co-founder of the Buteyko Breathing Center. She has studied holistic healing modalities around the world and has written about them extensively for almost thirty years. Sasha is originally from Moscow, Russia. In 1990, she started publishing the first Russian holistic magazine, which became a large national publication. She traveled extensively in Asia, Europe, and North America, researching and writing about holistic mind, body, and spirit techniques. Since 1993, Sasha has been practicing various forms of meditation under the guidance of Tibetan Buddhist teachers. She has completed short and long periods of intense practice. Kary Kilmer (Co-Host) is a Designer, Artist and a Master Gold and Silver Smith.  He has the distinction of being one of four American finalists in the World Gold Council's Virtuosi Competition in Vincenza, Italy dubbed as the world's "Oscars" of gold jewelry design. Kary is also a committed practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism and has lived off and on in Crestone since 2016.   Currently, Kary is working on a collection of pieces inspired by the natural landscapes and phenomena of the Crestone area. 

Kary's answer: Before my discovery of Crestone, it was a place that only existed in my dreams.  a magical place with several fourteen foot high mountains, sacred temples and monuments scattered about.   We have a night sky where the milky way is thick as a cloud and the stars cast a shadow. Outside the "Crestone bubble"  a conversation about metaphysics, phenomena, spirituality goes to a certain point. It Crestone that conversation begins where the other conversation ended and goes beyond.  

This Charming and unique cottage is located less than 500 ft. from the Stupa. Great care, consideration and science is used by the Tibetan masters to pick such a scared location. In addition to it's remote and private location, the Stupa Cottage is less than ten minutes from town and accessible from a paved and well maintained road. Our cozy cottage is decorated with simplicity, warmth and comfort in mind. Spotlessly clean, full kitchen, comfy bed... charming touches everywhere! The best part is the privacy, views and total immersion in the beauty of nature. This place is just so lovely! A true respite for the soul. This makes the Stupa Cottage the perfect place for a meditation or spiritual retreat. A quiet place for reading or to catch up on that writing assignment.
