Great place to spend the rainy days

First off, the place is bigger than the pictures make it feel. The whole process the vrbo host got back with me within the hour each time I had questions. When we arrived we found there were a couple flaws, but nothing deal breaking or even really worth griping over. There’s only 1 propane tank that gets used between the fire pit and the grill, the toaster didn’t work and the horseshoe pit was pretty bad shape. However, we had children (2 y &9 mo) so we were pleased to find a high chair that we made use of, an air mattress in case the beds weren’t doing good for our boy, and a pack n play if we hadn’t packed one already. The deck is covered as shown in the picture so when it rains or is storming it was still enjoyable sitting by the fire ring or in the hot tub. All in all it’s a great place to stay, unless all you plan to do is sit in the cabin 24/7 nitpicking every tiny detail. Would definitely recommend to my friends and relatives!

Really nice location

We would have given this a 5 but there was a lack of attention to detail on a lot of things. The patio furniture was covered in dirt, there was only 1 propane tank for the grill and fire pit so you cant use both at the same time, we were not aware that propane was not provided at all for our stay, we had to go searching for the horseshoes and all four were buried in different locations under leaves and dirt, the toaster did not work, a lot of the pots and pans were very dirty and some still had food stuck to them, the landscaping company showed up unexpectedly while we were trying to get ready for the day, they were fairly quick but very loud. Overall the house was nice and the property was very beautiful and quiet. Its close to tons of food and attractions. The host got back to us quickly and the checkout/cleaning list was very minimal which we appreciated.

Power Issues

Cabin was nice and close to everything. Bunk room lighting was very dim and toaster didn't work but not a major issue. The major issue was the breakers kept tripping for no reason so we had no power in all the bedrooms. Reached out to the Host who told us if we were comfortable, go out and flip the breakers (which the breaker box was outside the cabin). We did this....several times. Maintenance didn't come until late afternoon the following day. Since we had flipped the breaker on, they were unable to diagnose the situation so were not able to do anything about the issue. Continued to happen all week and we continued to go outside, day and night, flipping breakers to get power back on. The host didn't see this as an issue. Outlets wouldn't work so unable to charge phones, TV's didn't work, lights didn't work. When I told him an "adjustment" should be made to our stay, he insulted me by stating they would refund $26.01. Didn't realize the host was from Avada Properties as this was not stated on the listing. Most reviews for this company stated that this company scams people out of money and doesn't take care of their rentals. We also heard this from some locals we talked too. We have rented through VRBO in the past but from owners and not corporations and never had any problems. I will do more research next time and not rent from Avada Properties again!!!!!

Nice Cabin

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had a minor issue with the oven, but it didn’t affect anything we were doing, and the owner is taking care of it. We didn’t report it until after check out because we stayed on a holiday weekend. All of our communication with the owner was great. We love this cabin. We will most likely stay again. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed.

Nice cabin, staff less than helpful

The cabin is as they say in the listing. However it is owned by a corporation and not helpful when it came to customer service. I reached out with a problem that was an easy fix, the “owner” never called me back.
