For a beach vacation with a local feel, you will love this beachy home away from home! This retreat is tucked away on a private cul-de-sac with golf course frontage on the 18th green - you will be within a short distance of the ocean, beach, shopping, entertainment, breweries, eateries, and Kitty Hawk Pier.

Inside you will find light and airy décor with vaulted ceilings and plenty of natural light. The open floor plan allows everyone to spread out yet be gathered at the same time. Wind down in the inviting living area as you watch a fun show or movie on the TV or play entertaining board games with your loved ones. When mealtime comes, you will have a fully-appointed kitchen that will make cooking and making snacks a breeze. Spend your days swimming in the private outdoor pool, or for those beach days of fun in the surf and sand, there's an outdoor shower to help keep the sand out of the house and your beds. Spark up the grill for dining alfresco - there are plenty of seating options outside, including a firepit for those evenings of stories and 'smores.

Private Pool Dates: The private pool is open May 1st through October 15th. The private pool is unavailable outside of these dates.

Family of 6

The pool was amazing. The location was good. The house was good. Pet owners need to know the yard is "natural" which means unmowed so in order for your pets to do their business, you will be walking in tall grasses. Also, the deck system has boards and nails that are sticking up and can cause trips and falls or punctures. Be aware of the wasp nests hanging in the eves and under the deck system. Outside shower is a joke.

Cute little house

The house was super cute. It’s an older house but they have redone it. We also appreciated that the owners provided amenities to help with the stay. The area was also great as well. There are a few negatives; when we got there we noticed the pool needed cleaning but there was not a pool skimmer. I reached out and was told they would open a request to bring a skimmer by. Next day came, still not skimmer. So I just cancelled the request. The other thing is the beds, if you are traveling with kids, it’s great, they will be just fine. But as an adult, the beds are a rouuuugh sleep.

Pool fence need to be higher

I would stay again the house was very accommodating. The outside shower was not usable. Leaves and sand to high. My strong recommendation is the back pool fence needs to be higher or some sort of net needs to be put up. My husband golfs and yet we realize it was a freak accident but one of our friends got hit in the head by a golf ball sitting around the pool. 4 staples later and now in Norfolk general with bleeding on the brain there needs to be some precautions taken to prevent this from happening again. I would say out of 5 days the fence and deck was hit about 6 times!

March 2024 weekend stay

Well situated property in quiet area. Quick access to main road, pretty much 15min max to anywhere OBX. Property 99% clean (someone dropped an ear bud and while searching we found dirty paper plates under couch). The lock system was wonky, no real instructions on steps to open, we finally got in, and once in we never got it to lock again. It would be nice if the hallway gate actually worked and was sturdier. That way you could close doors and keep dogs in hallway if needed. Otherwise we would certainly rent there again.
