Bad rental and host

This property is not represented accurately by pictures. Toilet in front yard and yard was all dirt. Front gate/door was not locked literally pushed the door open. A small couch on the front entry with trash all over it. Inside the house there were broken doors and furniture not the same as pics on VRBO. Had to find another place to stay. Do not stay here.

Do not stay here!

Didn’t get into property until 4:30 pm due to “cleaners” not being done. The owner didn’t tell how to enter the property and the cleaning lady said to make sure doors were locked at night due to safety! Once entering building it had a weird odor and was no clean. Bedding was nasty, broken fan and light in one room (fan was hanging half way off the ceiling) house was extremely hot and couldn’t turn air on, shower was dirty, food left in the fridge, tv didn’t work, and we found roaches. We requested a refund and the owner was “sleeping” when we requested. Then the next day refused stating we stayed there except we were only there 45 minutes before we took off and requested a refund. These pictures are a lie! Don’t stay here at all!!! Disgusting and owner is just trying to steal from people.

Property canceled Day of Trip

The property owner canceled via message hours before check in. VRBO did refund and covered our hotel…. But we were stuck in a hotel room instead of being able to visit and play with our grandson that lives across the country! I was so disappointed! I use VRBO reasonably often…. This was just a terrible experience!

El contacto nunca contesto las llamadas ni mensajes. Pesimo servicio por parte del propietario. Nunca enviaron codigos de acceso y no hubo respuesta alguna. Viajé con mi familia y me complicaron el momento teniendo que gastar nuevamente en otro hospedaje. Pesimo servicio, decepcionante!

Chose this location because it was close to family members. The host does not have auto notify setup correctly and had to call VRBO to try and contact. Not sure why i couldn't text via the app (vrbo issue). VRBO tried contacting directly with no luck. Started looking for local hotels, when an unknown number called twice in a row. Host then provided updated house address (otherside of the duplex) and entry code. The air-conditioning was set at 78 and would not go lower. It is hot in Texas and woke up sweating in the middle of the night. During the day we were enjoying family time indoors and the AC kept stopping and the house heated up quickly. No matter what temperature we adjusted, it always increased. The light and fan in dinning room did not work. So we even tried having just the fan of the AC constantly on with no luck. The shower water was COLD in one shower and cool in the other. Never warmer.

Horrible experience

Stay never happened. Was cancelled by host at 1030pm on the night we arrived. Left us with nowhere to stay. After being on hold and hung up twice by VRBO customer service with no return call it was past midnight. With the holiday weekend there were few available hotels. And check in options starting at 3pm since it was now a new calendar day. Still having to fight for resolution. Thousands of dollars waiting on refund process and paying for another accomodation was of no concern or the fact that we had no where to sleep that night. Inconsiderate hosts double booking on multiple sites and taking our money and VRBO policies that do not remedy customer safety is unnacceptable. Consumer protection and misrepresentation violations are clear here. Host and third party booking agencies have a responsibility to act in good faith especially in leaving customers compromised and exposed in travel. Beyond unacceptable.
