Den Ätervunna House Àr en unik struktur stadsdel vackra North Downtown Charlottesville i. Den Àr konstruerad frÀmst frÄn material som har kommit frÄn nÄgon annanstans och fÄr ett andra liv. Det tog över sex Är för att samla in material och anvÀnda dem pÄ ett tankevÀckande sÀtt. Huset ritades som ett pensionat och en hel del arbete har lagts ned pÄ att bygga en plats som Àr vÀlkomnande, intressant och roligt! Materialen ger platsen en hel del soul, Àr ljuset frÄn de 33 fönstren fantastiskt och platsen kunde inte vara bÀttre!

Charlottesville historiska Downtown Mall ligger bara 4 korta kvarter bort och ger dig tillgÄng till över 60 restauranger samt biografer, konserter, mataffÀrer och nÄgra bra shopping - allt inom gÄngavstÄnd. University of Virginia Àr mindre Àn 2 miles away och nÄs med den kostnadsfria vagnen tjÀnsten. Monticello Àr mindre Àn 5 miles away - ca 10 minuter med bil.

Det Ätervunna huset sover 6. Det finns en king size-sÀng i sovrummet. Den övre vÄningen loft har en bÀddsoffa som sover tvÄ, och det finns en queen size-bÀddsoffa nere i vardagsrummet. BÀddsoffarna Àr mycket bekvÀma. Alla sÀngklÀder Àr mjuka och handdukarna Àr fluffiga. Det finns en halv bad nere och ett badrum pÄ övervÄningen.

Köket Àr fullt utrustat med top-of-the-line Bosch hushÄllsapparater. Det finns en sida veranda, en övervÄning dÀck ute med en treehouse kÀnsla, och ett annat dÀck utanför köket pÄ bakgÄrden.

The house is charming and visually interesting. It was only a short walk to the downtown walk area so it was nice to not have to worry about the car for a few days. 4 adults slept very comfortably in the space. The stairs to the upstairs portion was a little steep for those who have limited mobility.

Debra was an absolutely, amazing host!!! We started off with a bonus tour of the home in which she showed us all of the unique attributes of the home, including where all of the materials were derived and really neat stories behind each piece. It is such an extremely cool and unique story! We would stay here again in a second. We love Charlottesville and this is now our go to place to stay.

Debra is the quintessential hostess, eager to give us the history and background of her unique property, but also very helpful with a dentist recommendation when my wife lost a filling. The house is filled with charm, comfy, and welcoming. A well stocked kitchen and bathroom areas with all the little incidentals. A short walk to downtown. We would definitely return.

Perfect location - artsy and interesting home

The house is such an interesting accomplishment of art and design, while also being comfortable. The extra touch of coffee and cookies was nice and the host was responsive. It is tucked in a quiet neighborhood yet a very short (and safe) walk to the downtown mall. That’s exactly what we were looking for.. we look forward to returning.

Great location and host!

Debra is a most excellent host! She has lots of tips about local restaurants and attractions. The location of the Recycled House is great: just blocks from the downtown outdoor mall where we ate most meals. The house is charming, cozy and comfortable and Debra went out of her way to be sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

A lovely stay in a great neighborhood!

Debra was a fantastic host - it's so refreshing to stay at a property not run by a management company! Debra welcomed us with a tour of the unique house she's built, delicious chocolate chip cookies, and freshly ground local coffee. The location is great - four easy blocks to walk to the Downtown Mall, but a quiet neighborhood. The second living room space is a loft area across from the master bedroom suite on the second floor.

House was very unique and I had a wonderful stay. House is conveniently close to the downtown mall. Lots of sunlight in all rooms. Furnishings were up-to-date. Bathrooms were large and clean. Really appreciated the fully stocked kitchen with foil, ziploc bags and everything you might need. Chocolate chip cookies left by the owner were delicious! Communication with the owner Debra was always prompt. I enjoyed the house tour and walk through so I knew where everything was. The listing does mention that the stairs are steep and yes they were. The full bath is upstairs so if you are older or have knee problems please take this into consideration.

A Home Away from Home

Peaceful and quiet. Close to downtown and restaurants. Love the accents and decor of the rental home. Definitely plan to come back!

I'm a web designer/developer and own my firm, drw Design. The Recycled House started out as a small idea and then took on a life of its own.

I've lived in Charlottesville since 1995 and love showing off this town! It's really hard to have a bad meal here. And it's really historic and pretty. There's always something interesting going on!

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

It took over 6 years to collect materials from a TON of places to use in/on the house. It's been really satisfying to save amazing materials from the landfill, dumpster, etc. and use them in a thoughtful and creative way. I'll give you the tour when you come show you where everything came from. Most folks get a real kick out of it.

The Recycled House is quite special and if you want to be downtown, the location is fantastic.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The Recycled House was designed from the beginning as a guest house. It's very welcoming. People tell me it's really romantic. I have hosted a lot of families, girlfriend getaways, bridal parties, folks coming for reunions and sporting events at UVA and all the festivals that go on here in Charlottesville.

Just about everyone says the photos don't do justice to the place. You just have to come and stay and see it for yourself!
