We loved that we could all eat together in the dining room! Lots of space for everyone to have their own bed, and the kitchen was well furnished for cooking. Looking forward to visiting again when the pool area is open.

Host was very responsive. The place was overall homey and cozy. Kids had fun at the recreation/game room. Plenty of space for everyone. Just need a couple of updating/ maintenance, otherwise it was a great stay for us.

Was a little difficult to spot but the address. Our gps told us to go over into a steep ravin. Darn those things. Your game room is awesome. My grandsons loved all of it. Beautiful and so roomy too. Thanks for sharing. Have yourself a great weekend and God bless. Charlotte

Exactly what our family needed! 7 adults, 6 kids, 2 dogs - we had plenty of room to spread out and to gather. The setting is beautiful, very private but not far from all that Pigeon Forge has to offer. Abundant wildlife made it especially fun.

The property manager was great to work with, and the layout was well-suited for our group. Unfortunately, we experienced multiple issues shortly after arrival that significantly affected our stay.Upon our arrival, the refrigerator was not maintaining its temperature. A maintenance technician was sent out the next day to inspect it. By the time they arrived, the fridge had returned to temperature, but other problems were also present at that time. The back 2 bedrooms were approximately 62F and would not warm up. While the temperature briefly returned to normal for a few hours, it later dropped to freezing temperatures again the same day and remained that way for the rest of our trip. In addition, we had a baby sleeping in one of the rooms, and the temperature made for a very uncomfortable sleeping environment. We attempted to open windows, but it did not help.We also noticed cleanliness and maintenance concerns, including vents that were extremely dirty/dusty. The highchair was not usable because the fabric appeared to be covered with mold spores. There were additional convenience and functionality issues as well, such as, one non-functioning burner on the grill, and outdoor pool lights that do not work which was inconvenient for evening/night-time swimming.For the price we paid, we expected the property to be in better working condition.

We had a group of three families that stayed for the baseball tournament. The set up and the location of this property was perfect! We had plenty of space for us and the kids and we all had a really great time. We would definitely come back!

The cabin is spacious. Very clean and relaxing. Enjoyed seeing the bears. We stayed as family vacation. Wish the pool was available. Will return.

We stayed here over Christmas week and had a wonderful time. Property was perfect for our large family. The owner was great to communicate with. Definitely come back.

We enjoyed our stay in the Smokies. It was beautiful! The property offered sufficient space for each of our families. A main reason that we chose this property was because not only was it pet-friendly, but it actually allowed for more than one pet since the property was really three separate houses. It was clean, and the kitchens were supplied with basic items. The pool was very nice, and we appreciated the game room also. We also liked how we had room to park our separate vehicles. We used hotspots for Wifi on the property; the lack of wifi in the mountains should have been stressed in the pre-vacation communication. One highlight of our trip was our two black bear sightings. Here are some reservations we had about the property: 1) Although we were told that the check-in email had been sent, we could not find it in our email account anywhere (not in trash or spam or inbox). This made it very stressful as we arrived. There's no wifi on the mountain so we couldn't contact the host for the code. 2) It would have been so nice to have a propane grill that functioned effectively for our large group. The grill only had one functioning burner. 3) The hot tub did not have too many functioning jets. 4) The game room was musty and smelled of mold. 5) Our group size and number of pets decreased after we put our deposit down, but we missed the deadline for getting a refund. It would have been very helpful if we had received a reminder about the deadline.

The cabins were clean and ready to use. The host and the assistant were very responsive and helpful. They kept in contact pryer to our stay and during. I would recommend this place!!

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The TV situation was a little crazy but we got by. The pool is pretty small for a property that houses up to 22 people but we still had A LOT of fun! Check-in was easy. You may want to let your guests know in advance that they should download check-in instructions/access code due to the spotty internet signal.

A little piece of paradise! Our family had a fantastic vacation at Pioneer Trail Retreat. I’ve been renting vacation homes through VRBO for 2 decades, and this is probably my family’s favorite place now (mine also)! It was super clean, with everything we needed. Nice and tucked away in a little hollow, it is an amazing location and property. Lots of room to spread out and relax. The pool and fire pit area was our favorite spot. We’ve already rebooked for next year’s vacation and cannot wait. Most highly recommended!

Amazing Property

This rental has it all! There are spaces to spread out or gather all together. The pool and hot tub area was a hit with everyone. It was less than 10 minutes to the main street in Pigeon Forge but still felt secluded. The kitchen has everything you could need. My family loved staying here and we hope to return on our next visit.
