Blissful Stay!

We had a wonderful weekend! The cottage was perfect! Clean and well equipped! We absolutely love the area. So many great restaurants and things to do! The host is very organized and has thought of everything you could possible need! We will definitely return!

Great cottage and location for two

It’s rare to find a vacation property for two people that has all the amenities, is in a great location, and is actually affordable. Plumtucket checks all the boxes, and Ed is a great host.

Super Cottage

We had a great time. The cottage is beautiful. It had everything that you could require. The location is fantastic. Downtown Newburyport is a 5 - 10 minute ride down the road. The only issue was the access to the beach was just a little too steep. It seems that it could be regraded as a more gradual walkway. We found ways around that and had a great time. We highly recommend Placid Plumtucket Cottages. Dave&Diane C.

Plum Paradise

This was the perfect place for the escape that I needed! The cottage was as pictured...beautiful and clean with everything you would need. Close to the beach, and a short drive to Newburyport for great restaurants and ambiance of a seaside town. I can't wait to go back :)

Short walk to uncrowded beach

The cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Just a short walk to the beach that was only busy on the 4th of July. We enjoyed the cottage very much.

Our Stay on Plum Island

Our stay on Plum Island was wonderful. The home was beautiful. It had everything we needed and was exceptionally clean. It was easy to reach out to Edward and he was very responsive. I would stay here again.

A true sanctuary

The cabin is charming. I love the high ceilings it makes the small size seem larger, light and airy. The skylights are very effective in bringing in light as well. I like the little yard and would spend time there if it weren't winter. The Parker River Wildlife reserve is open daily, and I would go out to the different trails often. Newburyport is the town where my grandfather spent his youth so exploring was fun. It is easy to get to New Hampshire and Maine to experience the scenery, parks and towns in the surrounding areas. I would recommend staying here to discerning families but especially to solo travelers like myself. AAAPlus

Refuge

The cottage is charming. It has a small footprint but does not feel claustrophobic because the ceilings are high and there are large windows and skylights. It is adjacent to the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge. I go out there often to walk the boardwalks and beach areas. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and pans to do most cooking projects. Altogether a lovely experience.

A great experience! Highly recommend

My husband and I came for a short stay and Edward was a great host. The cottage itself was well kept and impeccably clean. Edward was also very responsive and offered to help if we needed suggestions on things to do. Due to a family emergency, we had to cut short our stay and had to leave on a very short notice and Ed was very considerate and understanding. We are frequent guests to Newbury and Newburyport and I must say this was another memorable cottage and experience. I also had a chance to meet the neighbors and they were welcoming warm and friendly. We plan to come back to this cottage and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone wanting a great host and quaint cottage. Magical Plum Island Vacation

We had the most amazing week in Edward's Cottage.The house was super cozy, cute and very well appointed.The location was perfect and we were able to walk everywhere, including to the beach. We had a magical week and we're already looking forward to our stay next summer.
