Villa Douro ligger i Acoteias, en liten förort till Albufeira, Algarves turistcenter. Cirka 7 km från Albufeira är det inte på något sätt mitt i det liv och rörelse i denna stad, utan i ett hanterbart bostadsområde med andra villor och fritidshus / lägenheter. Stranden kan lätt nås på några minuter till fots (ca. 500 m). Sandstranden som är typisk för denna del av Algarve med en fascinerande klippa hålls ständigt ren och erbjuder en idealisk plats för att sola och koppla av. Acoteias "centrum" kan nås i några steg, där du hittar några restauranger med typiska portugisiska och internationella rätter i en mysig atmosfär, samt mindre barer, affärer och ett snabbköp med bageri.

Förutom valfri luftkonditionering ingår alla extra kostnader i hyrespriserna. För användning av luftkonditioneringen (de flesta gäster använder luftkonditioneringen för uppvärmning på vintern och inte för att kyla på sommaren) debiterar vi 10,00 euro per användningsdag. Följande tjänster ingår i hyran: elförbrukning, gas, vatten, sängkläder (byts en gång i veckan), handdukar, badlakan (ej för användning på stranden). Great pool in Albufeira

The property does not look like the photos except for the pool. Location is quiet with good restaurants within short walking distance. However, property is tired and in need of a facelift at least by our standards. We noticed mold on some walls, blistered paint, dryer did not work very well and AC system worked in most rooms but not all.

Lovely villa and location

Great stay at Jan’s villa

Jan’s villa was an excellent base for our trip and is highly recommended. The locations was extremely convenient with easy access to the beach, a shop, multiple restaurants. It was also easy to visit Albufeira and was close to the airport. The pool was warm and air conditioning was very efficient. The house was well appointed and very clean.

Excellent Location

This property was really amazing. It was clean and spacious and gave us the time together as a family that we were looking for after a long summer. It was in a great location with everything we needed in walking distance. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful beach retreat close to great restaurants and cafes

We spent 10 wonderful days at Jan's place, within walking distance of Falesia beach and just minutes from a great range of really reasonably priced cafes and restaurants. Jan's communication was great throughout, very fast to respond and always helpful.

Great Holiday

We had a great time in the house. It is spacious, clean, well equipped, with a really nice swimming pool. The location is excellent - you can walk everywhere, with plenty of choice for food and drink. Thanks for a great holiday.

Roomy and airy

This was a great villa for our stay in late winter. I imagine it would be absolutely amazing in summer. Lots of space to hang out in small groups or dine together with the family or friends. The location is very nice. Seems to be a reasonably quiet area that is not far from more active boating/beach areas.

Loved villa

Beautiful looking villa in a quiet location. Good access to nearby bars and restaurants and supermarket. Spacious enough for all the family. Great pool kept in good condition. Very nice!

Fantastic 12 days stay

Just back from a fantastic two week break - 8 adults. The villa is superb as is the location close to bars, restaurants and shops. A great beach about 500metres away makes for a change of scenery. The villa itself is very well equipped including large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, micro wave, washing machine, good outside seating area at the front over looking the pool and an additional area at the back off the kitchen with decent size BBQ. Interior is a little dated but to be honest we didn’t spend any time inside!!!! Can definitely recommend and will hopefully be returning.

Villa Douro 2

I stumbled on the resort of Falesia which I’m so pleased I did. The area is beautiful with a very local feel to it. The villa was spacious and the pool an absolute dream where many a day was had lounging by it. The kitchen was a bit tired and would benefit from a refresh. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would definitely return to Falesia.

Great stay

Overall wonderful time at Villa Doura 2. Beautiful outdoors area. Really enjoyed grilling outdoors and swimming in the pool. Short walk to the beach. Excellent convenience supermarket next door food options and tours agency all within 5 minutes walk or less. Jan was super responsive. The housekeeper only speaks Portuguese but we were able to communicate fine.

We stayed at Jan's house in the off-season. So, a bit of rain and ever changing weather. Wifi did not work during our stay - but Jan is seeing to that for future guests.

Fantastic property

The property is spacious and stunning. Outside areas including pool amazing. Located close to beach and very close to supermarket, restaurants and bars. A charming area. Plenty to keep you occupied on a relaxing break but if you want bright lights and nightlife maybe go to Albufeira which is a short shuttle drive away easily booked at the tourist information office across the road. I hope to come back in the future.

A dream come true!

Me and my girl friends had a WONDERFUL long weekend at Villa Douro! Jan was quick to respond during booking and check in was simple. Almost too good to be true, we had everything we needed and only a short (& cheap) Uber into the main town of Albuferia. Cant wait to book again and go back to the beautiful Villa Douro!! Sarah

Nice house and location

My family stayed at Jan's house for 5 days after Christmas and we had a lovely time. The house is big enough for 7 people with a good size swimming pool but unfortunately the water was too cold whe we were there. The shops and the beach are just nearby which was a plus. The electric system might need updating as when we tried to use the hob and the kettle, the electric always tripped off. Will definitely come back again.

Great location, house and pool

Our group of two families from the USA truly enjoyed our stay at Jan’s house. The house was spacious for our group and we enjoyed the multiple outside spaces for dining depending on the sun of the day. The location was excellent with food and shopping a few minutes away and the beach ~10 min walk. The pool was a fun and warm break from the ocean; our kids were in it all the time. Falésia is a scenic beach that is not crowded like some areas closer to Albufeira. Jan was gracious and his Portuguese house caretaker made sure we were comfortable.

Beautiful house

Our family had a wonderful holiday in this lovely and clean villa. The location is great for the beach (only 7 min walk) and you have a supermarket, and restaurants just round the corner. The pictures of the house that are shown online match reality. The pool is huge and there is plenty of room everywhere - inside as well as outside. Several terraces and balconies to hang out and relax without felling crowded at all. We enjoyed the villa so much and would definitely recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Portugal. No doubt, we will be back next time we visit Portugal!

Super long weekend away with friends

This is a very spacious property with an excellent pool and sunbathing area, plenty of bathrooms and walking distance to the gorgeous Falesia beach. Having the small supermarket so close was really handy for us to pop and fetch supplies. Jan and the housekeeper were very flexible around our arrival and departure times, which was really helpful. They also responded quickly, and resolved, a small hot water problem we had one morning It would be useful if the notes about the property, facilities and local area were in English as well as German. This way we might have worked out the air conditioning system a little sooner!

Beautiful villa and highly recommend

This villa is in an excellent location, 45 minutes from Faro airport and with a small supermarket and some restaurants and bars with a couple of minutes walk. It's also 20 minutes in a car from Vilamoura and Albufeira old town, and roughly 15 minutes in a car to a large supermarket. The pool is fantastic and got sunlight for 12hrs of the day, and the outside BBQ area is also excellent. The property was clean and was a good size for our party of 8, and communication with the owner was easy, with quick responses. The WiFi was a little unreliable at times, so something to bear in mind, and some of the doors and floors also creaked quite a lot, which could be challenging with young children in the villa. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone
