Spendera lite tid pÄ vÄr vackra stranden hus med utsikt över Natural Bridges State Park. Höra vÄgorna och se havet genom trÀden frÄn vardagsrummet och den expansiva dÀck. Glida in i sömn lyssnar pÄ vÄgorna frÄn ditt sovrum. GÄ ner blocket till stranden, bygga ett sandslott och leka i vÄgorna. Strosa lÀngs West Cliff och titta pÄ vÄgorna kraschen mot klipporna. Huset Àr ocksÄ en kort promenad till Swift Street Courtyard, hem till Kellys French Bakery, Cellar Door Café, Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing, och flera vinprovning rum, inklusive Bonny Doone, Rikliga Winery, och Santa Cruz Mountain Vineyard. Detta nyligen ombyggda hus vid stranden levereras komplett med platt TV i vardagsrummet och separat barn zon, kabel, DVD och trÄdlöst internet.

Huset har 3 sovrum, 2 badrum och ett sovloft. Den övre vÄningen vardagsrummet har gott om plats för att njuta av utsikten, cozying upp till braskaminen, eller titta pÄ platt-TV. Det rymliga sovrummet Àr ocksÄ pÄ övervÄningen, och har utsikt över parken. TvÄ sovrum och 2: a bad Àr nere. Den frÀmre nedre sovrummet Àr ljust och soligt, med en drottning sÀng. Den nedre tillbaka sovrummet Àr mycket stor (25x12). Den har en drottning sÀng och en sittgrupp med en annan platt-TV och en futon soffa som fÀlls ut till en full size sÀng. I rummet finns ocksÄ ett loft med tvÄ enkelsÀngar. Det Àr en perfekt plats för ett barnkalas hang-out.

Huset totalrenoverades under vÄren 2011. Köket och bÄda bad strippades pÄ bultarna och renoverade, med alla nya apparater. Alla dörrar, mattor och golv byttes ut och allt har nymÄlade. Inredningen Àr ocksÄ nya, och köket Àr fullt utrustad med tallrikar, stekpannor, bestick och servering bitar. Vi har en gasgrill pÄ dÀck, och sittplatser för 8. Vi har lagt en uteplats pÄ bakgÄrden i 2012 med en brand grop som Àr perfekt för rostning marsh mognar. Huset Àr ocksÄ utrustad med trÄdlöst.

Vi har massor av leksaker samt: 3 vuxenstorlek cruiser cyklar i garaget, tvÄ brÀdor boogie, och 6 solstolar, allt för din anvÀndning. Uthyrning ingÄr Àven badlakan, lakan och badlakan (8). Barnen kommer att Àlska att göra s'mores i eldstaden pÄ bakgÄrden. Strandpromenaden och centrala Santa Cruz Àr tre miles dÀrifrÄn, en lÀtt cykeltur lÀngs West Cliff. Huset Àr en perfekt plats för att utforska Santa Cruz, Capitola och Aptos. Andra stora dagsturer inkluderar Monterey Bay Aquarium och affÀrerna pÄ Carmel. Kom, koppla av och njuta!

Perfect spot

The 7 of us from 12-82 had a great 2 days. We took advantage of the beach in walking distance, the toys, chairs and amazing deck and grill. The kitchen is the most well appointed and stocked of any vacation home we have ever stayed in. And each room had kleenex. This is how you can tell a host cares about their guests.Very comfortable for our group!

Perfect pairing of comfort and location

This is our 2nd time staying in this house, and it's been wonderful each time. It's a very nice space for a group of 7 of us, and the proximity to Natural Bridges SP and West Cliff Drive make it perfect for getting down to the beach and long walks along the coast. We spent the evening out on the front deck listening to the owl calls from across the street in the state park. Would recommend this place to others.

Fantastic home!

Wonderful house, located about one block to the beach and a great walking trail. The house has a well-organized kitchen with all the basics, great living space with enough living room seating for 7-8 adults, spacious and comfortable bedrooms, serene decor, fantastic outdoor deck with table that seats 6-7 adults easily.

Nice house, close to a great beach

If you want a nice house big enough for a group that's near a beautiful beach, this is your place. We had a great time here, enjoying the beautiful Natural Bridges Beach and the cliff walk. The house has been recently updated and is very clean and well-maintained. The owner was very helpful and seemed to care about keeping up his property. If you need to be right near downtown you'll probably be happier elsewhere (although it's a quick drive), but this is the place to stay to enjoy the natural beauty of Santa Cruz.

Great property and location

We enjoyed our stay at Bruce and Michaela's property. As the description says, it's a lovely house in a great location. Bruce reached out ahead of our trip to answer any questions and made sure we were well prepared for our stay. He was always prompt with his communication. The place has a lot of nice touches such as bikes for use by the guests, and an outdoor firepit. The kids had a lot of fun in the large bedroom with 2 beds in the attic space. We look forward to going back to the property and beautiful Santa Cruz.

Fun!

Booked this property for 3 families for a New Year's Eve wedding, unfortunately, Covid-19 prevented two families from joining us. Nevertheless, the property is just as advertised in an exceptional location across from Natural Bridges beach and walking distance to the beach. Clean, well appointed with lots of bikes and beach equipment. Would be AWESOME in the summer. Bruce was easy to reach and very accomodating with clear instructions for the house. Overall a great location!

A little suprise from the weather

There were only 4 of us. My husband, my son, our 10-year-old greatgranddaughter & I. We had invited two couples who decided not to go, due to the weather. However, we had a quiet time watching TV and bike riding on the clear days! This is right across the street from the Natural Bridges State Park. It was convenient that they had a lot of spices for different dishes! However, bring your own food - that's not part of the rental - lol.

Perfect location for a family of two.

The house was perfect in many ways. We rent two to three times a year and I have to say, this place is number one on our list. The house had everything you could of imagined. Beach chairs, bikes, hotel like soap in the bathrooms, large number of beach towels conveniently hung right next to the main door. The list goes on. At the end of the trip, my wife said it almost felt like our own private luxurious hotel. Sleeping for 8 was more than comfortable. We had four kids (4, 5, 6 7) and they all liked the downstairs room which included a built in loft. Clean and extremely organized is also a huge plus for us. Location was ideal. Every morning we walked to Cafe Iveta (on Delaware) for their coffee and scones - Excellent! The Natural Bridges beach was literally two to three blocks away. We also stopped by Seymour Marine Discovery Center which is a very short drive. The kids enjoyed the hands-on marine life and a walk along the cliff. I usually, don't write many reviews, but I felt this place definitely deserves one. The owners did an excellent job with the house.

Perfect beach getaway!

Our family of five adults and two late teens had the great pleasure of staying at this incredibly well equipped beach home! We all loved how light and bright it was, with comfortable furniture and a fabulous, large balcony in front for lounging in the sun with a sea view. The home very nicely accommodated all of us...we never felt cramped. The beds were very comfortable and the loft downstairs was a huge hit with the teenagers...they loved looking at the full moon through the windows. We fixed s'mores around the firepit and ate all our meals in...the well appointed kitchen was such a bonus, as we've found this not to be the case more often than not. There were all kinds of bicycles and beach equipment, although we contented ourselves with walking the short distance to the beach one day and walking the coastal path another. For inside entertainment, there were all sorts of puzzles, games and the like. Bruce was very easy to reach and his communication before and during the rental was exceptional. We felt lucky to be there for our family gathering and would rank this home as among the very best we've rented from VRBO...it was sparkling clean and better than the photos indicate. Many thanks to Bruce for making our mini-vacation such a resounding success! If you're in doubt about this rental, just do it...you won't regret it!!!

Wonderful House and Great Location

This house was perfect in every way. The kitchen was more than adequately stocked with everything we needed and had beautiful counters and very nice appliances. The entire home was clean and comfortable. My ten-year-old grandson loved having his own space in the loft where, in his words, he could “chill out.” The futon couch in one of the bedrooms turned into a bed which was perfect for the three-year-old, as his parents could sleep in the queen bed in the same room. The bedroom upstairs in the main living area was just far enough away that we, the grandparents, weren’t disturbed by the children when they woke up early. Nice touches were a wagon full of beach toys, games under the living room coffee table, and a lovely deck from which we could see the ocean and hear the waves. The location couldn’t have been better. We strolled along West Cliff Drive, walked to Natural Bridges State Park where we played on the beach and hiked some of the trails. Wilder Ranch was about five minutes away with additional trails. Restaurants and coffee houses were easily accessible. The host responded immediately to my questions and offered suggestions. He was wonderful! Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’ll be back.

Three Generations and We All Loved It

The layout of the house was perfect for our group. The deck and backyard provided extra places to hang out. The children loved the games and toys provided. The short walk to the beach gave us easy access to a lovely place for the children to play and the adults to appreciate the natural beauty of the area.

Bruce is one of the few 2nd generation San Jose'ans you'll meet. He grew up in Willow Glen and went to Bellarmine and UC Santa Barbara. He works in the defense industry as a business analyst. Michaela grew up in Philadelphia and moved here to work for HP as a software engineer. Much of our courtship involved long walks along the beaches of the Monterey Bay. It worked, because we have been married since 1989. Our two children keep us busy, but we still love to hike, bike and swim together when we have time. The Westside is a perfect location for us!

We have dreamed of having a house on the beach in Santa Cruz since we met in 1985. We love strolling along West Cliff, hiking up to the University, biking up and down the coast, and swimming at Cowell's Beach. When we found a house where we could see and hear the ocean, we were hooked. We hope eventually to retire here.

Stroll down the street to West Cliff and Natural Bridges State Beach (across the street) and nearby Wilder Ranch State Park. Watch the butterflies when they return in the winter. Take advantage of the many restaurants along Mission Avenue, in downtown, or on the wharf. If you're in the mood to stay home and cook, both New Leaf and Safeway grocery stores are minutes away. You can dine on the deck overlooking the park and the ocean, and roast marsh mellows as night falls in the fire pit in the back yard. In the morning walk up to Kelly's Bakery for a scone and a latte.
Take the cruiser bikes along West Cliff, or the wharf. Cruise the boardwalk and ride the Big Dipper. Take the boogie boards down to the beach and ride the waves! Enjoy all that Santa Cruz has to offer.
