Overall very good. This is single level so gets very warm. The 2 ac units in the house needs to run for a while before it cools down. I stayed when it was cooler outside. The 2nd bedroom does not have an AC unit. The kitchen could use some more utensils to help. Overall everything was clean and as listed.

Escondido July

Spacious, comfortable bed, bedding not so good, bathroom ok, plenty hot water. Inadequate AC, property extremely hot in the evenings, plenty cupboard space. Silverware a bit low, no kettle available.

Nice guesthouse !

We spent a nice weekend in the guesthouse . We had all the furniture we needed and it was perfectly clean.

Terrible, disgusting property

Don't waste your money with this property or this property owner. We walked in and walked right back out. The carpet was so disgusting we made the decision to stay somewhere else, even though we might not get a refund. There were stains (some 3 feet in diameter) in most of the carpeted areas. The host told us that we "didn't have to sit on the carpet" and offered to send someone to clean the carpets, leaving us in a damp, musty house while they dried. The house smelled like the carpets looked. The front screen door was held together by falling-off strips of old duct tape. When I argued that the house was not as represented, that the carpet wasn't shown in the pictures, she said that "postings never have pictures of the floor in them". When on the phone with me and VRBO, she changed her story a few times and did admit the carpets were disgusting. She assured me they had been vacuumed, though. We ended up getting a hotel for the 5 days and no refund from the host. Hopefully VRBO will step up and make this right. This was the worst VRBO-rental experience we've ever had.

Hidden Gem

This is a hidden gem mostly because of it's main entrance. It's located behind the main house. This is nice because it's not facing the busy street. My family had enough room to stretch out and relax. The only real challenge we had is with the summer around the corner and the vicinity of this property, there's very little aur circulation. Location wise this was ideal as almost everywhere I needed to be was within a 30 minute drive. A couple of things to note for anyone wishing to stay: 1) Bring a dish towel 2) Get a swiffer 3) Most grocery stores in the area close by 11pm, so make sure to stock up for your length of stay as soon as possible 4)Buy or bring foul, plastic wrap, storage bags,etc. 5)Buy or bring a shower mat. The tub can get slippery and may not be safe to someone who may be accident prone The area where the dining table sits seems to have the least amount of ventihilation. We brough the fan from the "kids" room to help bring in some coolness. The AC in the master bedroom is perfect. We didn't have time to sit out enjoy the patio furniture. It would've been cool if there was a firepit to either roast marshmallows or if visiting in colder months to soak in heat. Parking can be tricky but perfect for the two vehicles we had in our party. Sahar and Tara are great to reply promptly to messages. Hoping to stay here again on my next visit.
