10 min promenad till Martha's Vineyards vackra State Beach och 5 minuters cykeltur till Edgartown butiker och restuarants! Ljus solig 3 sovrum stuga, precis utanför Beach RD, intill öns omfattande cykelleder som kopplar dig till alla Martha's Vineyard 5 städer och stränder. Denna plats kan inte vara beat! Perfekt för en familjes lätta vecka på stranden. Du kommer inte leta efter parkering, bara promenera eller cykla till stranden på morgonen. Miles av trädbevuxna stigar med utsikt över vattnet över gatan för en morgonpromenad eller jogging, sedan en snabb skölja i utomhusduschen.

KOMMER OM RUND

På kvällen promenad, cykla eller ta bussen till antingen Oak Bluffs eller Edgartown för middag och nattliv. Busshållplatsen ligger 50 meter från din ytterdörr och kommer var 15: e minut på sommaren. Det finns parkering för två bilar men många gäster tar inte ens en bil, du behöver inte verkligen en från den här platsen. Det är bara 15 minuters bussresa från Oak Bluffs färjan och bussen rymmer cyklar.

Framdörren går in i ett öppet vardagsrum - matsal med en soffa, futonstolstol, kabel-TV och DVD-spelare. Fortsätt ner i korridoren till ett separat, välfyllt kök på vänster sida med alla köksredskap, krukor och kokkärl etc ...
Tre sovrum och badrum med tvättstuga ligger utanför hallen förbi köket.

Sovrum En - Har en queen size-säng och gott om förvaring i garderoben. Två västlägefönster fyller detta rum med vackert sen eftermiddagsljus. Detta rum har A / C för att hålla dig sval på varma nätter ..

Sovrum två - har en full säng, AC. North facing windows.

Sovrum Tre - Har en två enkelsängar och A / C för att hålla dig sval på varma nätter.

AMMENITIES

Vackra tallar. Kabel-TV, New Blue Ray-spelare, 32 tums plattskärms-TV och WIFI ingår.

Privat bakgård perfekt för BBQ med riklig gräsmatta, bord och stolar. Skölj bort i den nya utomhusduschen efter en simtur på State Beach.

HISTORIA

Stugan är en del av ett komplex av byggnader som en gång gjorde upp den historiska Marthas Vineyard COOP Mejeri. Detta soliga tre sovrum tjänstgjorde en gång som det är vagnshus. Martha's Vineyard COOP Mejeri var en fungerande mjölk- och mjölkflaskanläggning till mitten av 1960-talet. Under sin höstdag tog alla öns bönder med sig mjölken för att bearbetas och flaskas här. Ägareenheten var Mejeriens lada och ligger intill vagnshuset.

HÄR FÅR NÅGOT FUN SOM GÅ TILL NÄRHET

BIKING - Bra läge som basläger för cykling på ön. Ta med egen cykel eller enkelt hyra en, cykeluthyrning är bara 10 minuters promenad till stad, de kommer också att leverera.

FISHING - Bara en 1/2 mil bort böjningen i vägen stranden erbjuder några av de bästa surfcasting på vingården, huvud ytterligare en halv mil på vägen och släpp en linje från stora bron, bra plats för Stripers och Blues.

KLÄMMNING - Bara en tio minuters promenad är Sengekontacket dammen överlägset en av de allra bästa clamming platserna på ön.

CRABBING - 5 minuters promenad mot stranden är en colvert där saltdammen rusar under vägen. Stor plats för att fånga läckra blå krabbor.

KITE SURFING - Sengekontacket dammen är också känd för sin fantastiska vindsurfing och blir snabbt känd som en av de bästa ställena i östkusten för kitesurfing. Vinodlare, Rob Douglas, tjänade titeln på snabbaste kitesälare i världen och kan regelbundet hitta rippin på den på Sengekontacket dammen.

KAYAKING - På den andra sidan av State Beach, 10 min på cykel, kan kajaker hyras av Island Spirit Kayak. De erbjuder också bra dag och solnedgångsturer på ön.

BRIDGE JUMPING - En mil längs vägen, inget som att hoppa av State Beachs stora bro! Du kommer regelbundet att hitta barn och vuxna lika och njuta av 10-dykningen i Vineyard Sounds kalla vatten på en varm sommardag.

SNORKLING
Inget som Karibien, men vattnet här är vanligtvis överraskande tydligt. Att flyta runt stenbryggarna i någon av de två broarna längs State Beach kan rida nuvarande i eller ut ur Sengekontacket damm. Små fiskar, conch, sjöstjärnor, krabbor och enstaka Stripped Bass är ditt stenbrott. Den fria ritten i dagens är värt ansträngningen. Efter 15 år bor här är det fortfarande en av mina favoriter på en varm dag!

Super Charming, Great Location, Thoughtful Host

The property is just as cute an convenient as advertised. It was our first time bringing our dog on vacation, and he loved the fenced-in yard. (Note for pet owners, he could get out to the driveway if he tried.) The sunset and sunrise walks were amazing, especially with the nature preserves on the road. Beds were very comfortable. We loved all the little touches the owners provide. If you like nature and don't mind some short walks, this is the place. We also loved rhe history and backstory.

Cozy Cottage - We loved every moment!

We were so pleased to stay at this property. The location - close to the beach, and an excellent location for all that we wanted to do. We brought our car since we had our pups with us (important tip: make sure you can get vehicle reservations to/from the island on the Steamship Authority, they book up fast). We saw lots of bicyclists and the buses were always running, as other transportation options if you come without a car. The house couldn’t have been more perfect. It was part of the Co-Op Dairy from the 40s-60s and I loved the vintage nods in the decor. It was just so comfortable and inviting. I loved all of the care clearly put into the house. The bedrooms were good sized and we had plenty of space. Check in and communications were excellent. We all founds the beds comfortable, and we cooked many meals in the kitchen. We enjoyed grilling and making s’mores on the patio. The special touches of flowers and herbs in the house on arrival show just how much the owners care about guest experience - they have thought of everything.We enjoyed the gentle sandy slope and swimming at beaches, which are close. Go early for roadside parking, or walk. There is a lifeguard at the bend. We appreciated the beach chairs at the house. We rented kayaks on Sengekontacket Pond, jumped from Jaws Bridge, saw the Aquinnah Cliffs, fished, rode the Flying Horses Carousel, shopped in the towns, visited Jaws filming sites, and took long naps. Perfection! Thank you!

Perfect stay in Edgartown

Booked this somewhat last minute wanted to be near family in Edgartown, this was perfect location. rented bikes for the week and was easy to get into Edgartown with bike or a walk. Location is also great to State Beach. I felt like the host at thought of everything that I might have forgotten.

Cute home away, well equipped , clean. Nice yard. Fresh flowers inside upon arrival.

Very convenient location, 1/2 mile to Edgertown, less to the beach, lovely wooded walks across the street leading to the water. Would definitely return.

A gem of a find!

Mike's home was the perfect stay for our family! We enjoyed many meals outdoors on the picnic table and nights listening to the record player after dinner! It was also a great distance from Edgartown, making it very easy to walk or bike back and forth. It was a comfortable stay that we would book again and again!

Great location

The communication prior and during our stay was great. We’ve been renting for over 11 years in MV and this is one of our favorite so far! Perfect 4 me and my 4 adult daughters. Based on what we like to do this location was perfect. The home had great amenities and beachy. Will definitely be back!

Vineyard Get Away

For the last few years my we’ve taken a trip to the Vineyard to celebrate our anniversary after eloping there in the fall of 2020. We decided that it would be nice to bring the dog and invite family down, Mikes place gave us the perfect spot to do that it’s a great location with plenty of room for five adults and small dog, the house was clean and has a great outdoor shower as well. I would definitely recommend staying there.

Prefect escape

We stayed for a getaway off season and had the best time. The cottage is quaint, comfortable and convenient to everything. We brought our puppy with us so the yard was perfect! Mike was responsive and had great recommendations for restaurants, shops and things to do in general which was awesome.

Great family vacation

We spent 2 weeks with kids, grandkids and a dog and had the best family vacation. It's the perfect location for access to the beach, Edgartown, shopping, biking and trail walking. We loved hanging out in the backyard space making memories, grilling fresh seafood with the family and sitting by the fire under the stars. Mike could not have been a more attentive/friendly host when addressing a few questions/asks we had during our stay.

Cozy Martha's Vineyard

Was exactly what I expected for our stay on the Island. I grew up on Cape Cod and looking forward to a cozy cottage on the island. The property mgr also lives on the property but I only saw her once when I communicated that the coffee maker broke and was promptly replaced with a new one. Short drive or pleasant walk to downtown Edgartown with its restaurants and shops. Love the outside shower. Was there in September so the beaches are everywhere. Great farms on the island so it's easy and fun to shop for veggies. Not to mention the fish markets at Menemsha! Would definitely want to come back.

Even better this time!

Turhis was the second year we stayed at this property. Directly across the street you can enter the bike path and go a short distance to the beach, shopping, restaurants and the ferry. Mike and Sandy made us feel extra welcome this year with a new set of pots and pans and treats in the pantry and refrigerator including relishes and glazes for cooking, all the condiments we would need and Starbucks coffees and cocoas. There's an enclosed yard for privacy and a safe place for the dogs. We'll be back!

We got out

The pictures look bright and fresh, but this property smelt damp, the ceiling in one of the bedrooms was covered in black mold. The bed linens supplied smelled musty, in one bed they were so bad it was actually not possible to sleep in it. One wall was basically rotting wood. We booked for a week and stayed one night. Did not bother to raise issues as unfixable, needs complete reno to live up to price tag.

Decent location, but a bit tired.

This rental was in a decent location and is close to State Beach, however it's a good 25-30 minute walk to downtown Edgartown. The property is pretty tired. While the essential things like the bathroom and kitchen were clean when we arrived, overall the property wasn't in the best condition. Cobwebs in the corners, old food in the drawer of the stove, stains on the floor, musty smell, chips in the tile, and very dirty fans and A/C units (although when we asked the owner to clean the A/Cs he was very responsive). The outside furniture was stained, the table was wobbly, and the yard was not inviting to sit in. This property is simply about the location, don't expect any other frills.

Awesome stay and location

Property is right across from the bike path and great location to town and state beach! While it is right on the main road, it is a quiet spot. The front yard is awesome for hanging outside. Outdoor shower was incredible! Would definitely stay again! Owner is super responsive too. Thank you for an awesome stay!

Excellent location

Wonderful stay. The location was great. We walked the bike path to the beach daily. The house had enough space for the 4 of us. Outdoor space is enclosed with a tall fence and trees so it feels private even though it is on a busy road and you can hear the cars when outside. You can not hear any road noise at all when you are inside. Outdoor shower is wonderful and the kitchen had all the dishes and appliances needed. The only downside is that you do have to cross a busy road to get to the bike path but it is well worth it for the proximity to the beach and trails. Not fancy or new but very charming and low key with everything you need. We loved it.

great place to stay!

Comfy beds, great outdoor shower, bike path entrance is across the street and state beach is just down the street. Groceries, packy and pizza a 1/4 mile away. What more can you ask for? I'd come again for sure!

Great little modest place in close proximity to the beach

Good value, ample space for all of us. The A/C worked great when we needed it! Nice little outdoor area to enjoy as well. Some slight noise of cars passing but nothing that really bothered us. It is right across from a wooded walking/bike trail as well as the main bike route. We couldn’t get the BBQ to work but I’m sure the owner would have addressed it ASAP if I had reached out to him.

Great location & host!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was ideal and the house had everything we needed. The private yard and patio with a fire pit was a bonus. Mike was also an excellent host. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others as well.

Family vacation

Best location!! This house is located so close to everything. The beach is walking distance and the bike path is across the street that goes all over the island. We road our bikes into Edgartown and to the Jaws Bridge. This is a true beach cottage!! Very comfortable. Mike is a great Host!

Quaint, homey, dog friendly which is a huge plus. Also, fire pit in backyard was fun every night. We will definitely be back.
