Villa Castiglioni är det ursprungliga namnet på denna fantastiska historiska villa som byggdes av en berömd italiensk arkitekt E. Sommaruga 1900. Nu restaurerade den här arkitektoniska pärlan på 3 våningar ovanpå en kulle med utsikt över Comosjön. Villa Castiglioni ligger mellan Villa D'Este femstjärniga resort och Villa Oleandra som ägs av en Hollywood-stjärna George Clooney. Hyresfastigheten upptar hela bottenvåningen (220 kvm) med 2 bäddsrum (queen size-säng + 2 enkelsängar som kan sammanfogas, extra långa sängar), 2 spacios och påkostade badrum, en med en varm tub Teuco och den andra med power-shower Teuco, 80 kvm vardagsrum med matsal och ett fullt utrustat kök. Det finns ytterligare två soffor i vardagsrummet. Hela fastigheten är luftkonditionerad utom 2-bäddsrummet som har direkt tillgång till terrassen och är utrustad med en sista generationens fläkt. Det tredje bäddsrummet har 2 enkelsängar, det 3d badrummet är rymligt och med ett naturligt ljus och ligger i lägenheten på bottenvåningen, där du också hittar en TV / gym, med TECNOGYM-utrustning, tvätt / strykmöjligheter. Lägenheten på bottenvåningen är mycket privat och mysig men inte så lyx som huvudlägenheten. Inredning av denna fastighet gjordes av en berömd studio i Milano. Utomhus har en panoramaterrass för uteservering med ett kristallbord för 8, en privat trädgård med en varm tub för 4, solstolar och paraply. Hela fastigheten har privat åtkomst från en välskötta trädgård inför LAKE COMO. WiFi, satellit-TV, parkering finns också utan extra kostnad. Villan ligger på en kulle med spektakulär panoramautsikt över Comosjön och de omgivande kullarna. Avståndet från Como är 15 km, från Milano- 65 km, från Lugano (Schweiz) - 45 km. I området finns många mycket bra restauranger, barer och butiker. Tennisbanor och golfbana ligger på kort avstånd, en båtstation och en busshållplats ligger också på gångavstånd från fastigheten. Villan har plats på en kulle på 100 meter från sjön. Den närmaste offentliga stranden ligger på gångavstånd. Det finns också gångstigar med hisnande panoramautsikt, precis framför porten till villan.

Wonderful!

We recently enjoyed a stay at Villa Castiglioni. The property more than exceeded our expectations! The location is wonderful, the property beautiful and the views amazing. Ekaterina was extremely helpful in helping us navigate our way to the location and also responsive whenever we had any issues during the stay. I would highly recommend this Villa if you are looking for a five star experience while in the Como area.

Gorgeous property

Gorgeous property with unparalleled views of the lake. We hired a private chef and had dinner on the patio overlooking the lake - was stunning. The host was delightful and had excellent recommendations. We cannot wait to come back!

Loved our great location on Lake Como

The beautiful Villa is perfectly located in Laglio. We enjoyed our time including fabulous dinners in Cernobbio, Laglio and Tremezzo. We loved the boat tour that Caterina arranged for us with Francesco too. Thank you for such a memorable week!

Villa Castiglioni in Laglio, Lake Como

Historic villa property beautifully restored in an amazing location with amazing view. Lunch and dinners on the covered veranda. Would have been better if bath for second bedroom were not down the hall. The owner was wonderful. At our request arranged for a private chef to come to the villa which was lots of fun, and delicious. She also arranged for restaurant reservation for the evening we arrived. Owner communication was excellent! We loved our stay!!!

Luxury on Lake Como

We had a wonderful experience during our stay. This is one of the most beautiful villas in the area, in fact so beautiful that you may not want to leave to do anything else! Our host was very accommodating and helpful from start to finish and provided us some wonderful recommendations throughout our visit. We especially loved the boat excursion and private chef's dinner she arranged for us! Plan to bring your food and favorite beverages and just enjoy the scenery outside from the spacious veranda overlooking the lake!

Best of Times

We recently stayed at the villa for a long weekend and enjoyed it so much we extended for 2 extra days! The villa itself is bright, inviting and comfortable! The views are breathtaking and Caterina the host was a delight! She was readily available and patiently helped us learn about the area from boats to great restaurants! She is literally one of those people you feel like you have been friends for a long time! We most certainly will return!!!

Did not want to leave!

The property was absolutely gorgeous with stunning views. The pictures don't do it justice. It was conveniently located to Cernobbio and Como. There were several great restaurants within walking distance of the villa. Caterina was a wonderful host and very easy to communicate with through VRBO app or Whatsapp. She made several fantastic dinner reservations for us. Make sure you reserve a boat tour with Francesco. We had a wonderful time.

Amazing!

This property accommodated or family of 6 perfectly! It is truly a special place to stay. It’s more beautiful than the pictures. Furnishings are high quality, beds comfortable and an overall feeling of class and elegance. The view of Lake Como is AMAZING! Hindsight, we wish we had hired a chef and enjoyed eating right on our deck. Ekaterina was gracious and very informative. We highly suggest renting a boat and enjoy the lake. Thank you for making our Holiday special! We’d love to return someday!

Wonderful Stay

Our stay at Caterina’s house in Lake Como was truly amazing. The location is ideal, the house is even better than pictured, and the views are fabulous. The house has every amenity you could need for a comfortable stay, including a fully stocked kitchen, air conditioning, and blackout shades for sleeping. What really made our stay stand out, however, was Caterina’s hosting. She arranged dinner reservations for us, suggested places to see and things to do on the lake, got us groceries for breakfast, booked a delightful boat tour of the lake, and arranged for a truly delicious private chef one night (very possibly the best meal we had on our stay in Italy). A cleaner also came twice during our nearly week long stay which was very helpful. I could not recommend this place more highly, it has been one of our best vacation stays. If you are considering - do not hesitate, just book!!

The Most Beautiful Villa

My three adult children, my son-in-law, and my husband and I stayed in this magical villa in late September/early October. We were greeted by Ekaterina, who gave us a thorough tour of her beautiful property. She also was so helpful in arranging a driver to meet us at the train station in Milan as well as a driver to take us to the airport on the day we left. She also arranged for us the most amazing private boat tour of Lake Como. Additionally, she stocked the refrigerator with groceries we requested, and she helped us make dinner reservations at nearby restaurants. She truly went above and beyond. The villa with something out of a movie. It has been perfectly restored to its original glory, and the view of the lake from the living room and the two bedrooms was breathtaking. The bathrooms are lovely, the villa is spacious, and there are air conditioners in most of the rooms for when the temperatures were warmer outside. The villa is set in a quiet neighborhood, and the only problem we had was finding a convenient place to eat dinner because the neighborhood restaurant that is five minutes away had closed early for the season. We were able to find restaurants which required us to walk about 20 minutes both ways, but we needed the exercise considering all the pasta we were eating. I cannot recommend this wonderful place more highly. We would come back here in a minute. We just felt so lucky to stay here.

The most ideal VRBO on this side of the lake

For two families property is ideal. The master bedroom is very large and allowed for the infant to sleep in the parents room undisturbed. The second bedroom was perfect for us as grandparents. However we took advantage of the downstairs third bedroom for privacy on occasion. The property has electronic outdoor window shades that darkens rooms at night and minimizes heat transfer in the afternoons. The views were fabulous! Although there was a construction crane just below us it did not interfere with the enjoyment of the property at all. With the development on and around the lake these cranes are prevalent just about everywhere. The living area/dining area was very large and well furnished. The kitchen was perfect to make a quick meal or an omelette for breakfast. The laundry room was downstairs and allowed us to keep our personal items laundered for our two week stay. The property was only about a 10 minute walk to the lake where there was a choice of restaurants and a nearby park for our infant daughter to enjoy with her parents. The property is only about a 15 to 20 minute car ride to major towns and with stores. The owner was very helpful in preparing the property for us and arranging for a high chair and the few grocery items we needed for the first few days. She also recommended great restaurants and obtained reservations for us with the best table for great views. We really liked the housekeeper too to keep beds made and fresh towels .

Great Stay

Absolutely perfect

Words can’t describe how lovely the villa is. Everything was as described. Location incredible. But the most amazing part was the host. Without a doubt the best host we have ever experienced at a villa rental. She handled everything for us Far beyond our expectations. Our only regret was leaving after 4 days. Next trip will be much longer.

A Beautiful Lake Villa

My brother, sister-in-law, and I enjoyed 4 days in Villa Castiglione overlooking beautiful Lake Como. Caterina picked us up at the train station and welcomed us to the beautiful villa. She helped with preparations for our trip by making reservations that we requested and stocking the kitchen with a few groceries. Caterina was available during our stay for any questions we might have. One of the highlights of our trip was the dinner that chef Alberto De Mail prepared for us at the villa. While we enjoyed exploring the lake and some of the nearby towns, the highlight of our trip was relaxing on the comfortable veranda overlooking the lake. We would certainly stay here again if we returned to the Lake Como area.

Heaven on earth

Villa Castiglioni is wonderful! The villa is gorgeous, and the views are straight from a travel magazine. Caterina is a fabulous host, responding immediately to every question we had. She even provided taxi service from Cernobbio when we got stuck there upon arrival. Laglio is a lovely little town, with cafes, restaurants and incredibly friendly people. This was the most relaxing vacation we've ever had.

Lake Como Paradise

Absolutely beautiful Villa! The best possible base location to see all the attractions Lake Como has to offer. Scenery is stunning ! Highly recommend renting a car. The locals were very helpful and cordial! We unconditionally recommend this property .

Wonderful Experience - Fantastic Destination Host

The property is even better than pictured. The owner also took on the role of destination host and helped us figure out transportation and restaurant reservations and boat charters which was completely above and beyond. I am type A so I like an extremely clean and neat environment and this villa was perfect for me. I would stay there again and I would highly recommend it to anyone else looking for a respite palace in paradise. The view from the front porch (and the main living room just behind it) is to die for. There is a giant table on that porch where we began each day with coffee and ended with a fabulous glass of that incredible Italian wine.

A very special place in a special area.

This villa on lake Como is very special. The way this villa has been restored, updated and cared for is simply incredible. The grounds were beautiful, and anything we could possibly need was in the villa. Our hosts were very helpful, friendly and genuinely cared about our comfort and enjoyment. Inside the villa, the furnishings were really nice and comfortable. The views of the lake from all the windows were just amazing. Lake Como is truly a magical place and this villa makes enjoying it special Convenient central location to explore all the lake region has to offer. In life you get what you pay for. This was worth every penny for a truly special experience. Highly recommend it, and we will return.

This place is unspeakably beautiful!

The villa sits on a hill overlooking Lake Como. The villa is well appointed with a modern kitchen and bathrooms. The views outside are spectacular. Katrina was the perfect hostess even filling the fridge with food and wine we had requested. We’d stay there again in a heartbeat! Loved every minute!

What an amazing stay, far better than the pictures show

What an amazing stay. Next time we’re coming for a week. Our host was sensational, the home the most beautiful villa imagineable, widely considered to be better than George Cluny’s villa (that is 500m away).

Stunning!

Exactly as pictured. The views of the lake could not be any better! It's high up on the hill so you have unobstructed views. Katerina could not have been nicer. She checked in with us frequently to see if we needed anything and even made dinner reservations for us the night we arrived. She also helped call a taxi the day we were leaving. I definitely recommend a car. The main street is very narrow and busy with traffic. But it is possible to walk on. And there was a bus that went through. With such a beautiful setting we didn't feel the need to leave the house our last day there. We just enjoyed the view!

After we have retired from the textile business, I and my husband first came to Laglio in 2000 after a series of coincidences led me to this quiete wonderful and very special and quite village. We bought and restored this amazing property and since than we have been spending here up to 6 months each year. We have decided to rent out our beautiful home Villa Castiglioni so that you can enjoy the wonderful life here in Lake Como area.

Villa Castiglioni is considered to be the most beautiful villa in Laglio. It is not as big as many other villas here , but it has its charm and it is full of light the whole year around, even during the winter months. And what a scenery! Sometimes it seems to be a decoration to a romantic opera with all these small villages on the other shore of the Lake . This is really a dream home and I am very lucky to be able to get it ...

I fall in love with this property immediately, nevertheless we got it in a terrible condition, the villa has been abandoned for 35 years! After the owner, a wealthy developer from Milan ,has dyed , the heirs could not divide the property and lacked to pay the taxes.... it took us 3 years to restore the property to its actual condition. It is very private, elegant and comfortable... and the location is just great: you are close to everything any sophisticated traveler desires: art, nature, good weather, excellent restaurants and wine bars, sports, theater, music , great shopping... you have all this at your fingertips.
And , of course I will share my personal experience with you!
