Serene Pines

Great experience here, located close to many attractions. Lots of wineries with great wines, good food and friendly people. Big Trees state park worth the short drive. We loved the place.

Fun/Comfy trip to the Mountains

Lovely stay in cozy mountain home! Fireplace was awesome and owners had plenty of wood for us. Great neighborhood where we found a nice hike. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful stay!

The cabin was clean and beautiful and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the access to pool and lake was fun for the whole family. The A/C was so appreciated as it was a hot weekend!

I loved being in a quiet place and enjoying the views. Also got to go hiking and take the kayaks to the lake to do some fishing

Cozy and cute, beds are not great

We stayed in February. There was no snow. The parking was pretty level with the street (no steep driveway!) Communication and checkin, checkout was good. Location was quiet and lovely in the woods. The kitchen was updated and quite nice. The wood burning stove was great too as was the large couch in the main area. Heat worked well. We used the deck to look at stars in a telescope. Place was clean. Areas for improvement:1. Beds are old. The queens were really sinky and the twins were really hard and some had foam topper which helped a little but still not ideal. Also the frames for the twins didn’t extend all the way to the foot of the beds and so if you sit on the end of the bed the front lifted up. 2. The flashlight didn’t work despite changing the batteries (there was a power outage while we were there. The lantern was great but the flashlight didn’t work). 3. There was no body wash in the container in the bathroom. 4. The ceiling fan/light in the 2 twins bedroom was missing the fan pull control. So if I wanted the light on, the fan was on full speed. There was no way to turn the fan off. 5. There was no dishwasher pods or soap so we had to hand wash everything.
