Make sure you due your research

Wanted to cancel when the last reviews were horrible compared to when we booked and by then it was out of the cancellation window. I reached out to the property manager and left a message for a phone call so we could talk and I still haven’t heard back. Communication is not good. I would definitely find another place to stay.

Studio Review

Unfortunately, the online listing definitely hypes this place up. I stayed for 4 nights the last month and this place definitely needs some TLC. The kitchen area flooring is cracked and when you walk over it your feet get pinched in between the tile, there is a musty smell that permeates through the room, dust on surfaces and under the bed, but the biggest inconvenience was the shower not being functional during my stay. First of all, it was dirty. The mat on the shower floor needed replacing as it was filthy. The shower head is barely hanging on, splashing water everywhere, water pressure is barely existent, and the ceiling above shower was leaking water. I had reached out to the property manager to let her know that the ceiling was leaking water and heard back from her informing me that she will let the management company know/they’d take a look. I didn’t hear back after that and checked out without having the issue resolved. I would not recommend staying here unless you have an alternative place to access if anything malfunctions during your stay.

This listing was not as advertised, I left and stayed in a hotel 20min away. About a week prior to my trip I received a message asking if I could be moved to another location, the MGM at 84 Saco (“Marvin Gardens Motel”). This was pitched as an upgrade of sorts with two beds instead of one. I have to imagine the location they sent me is under renovation, otherwise the entire listing is misleading. I could not find the turn in to the motel area, I drove by it multiple times, the pool is taking up the entire front of the property, it’s very unclear where the turn in is. Also, fyi, the pool is right up against a busy street, though the fence is shrouded with a tarp. As part of the instructions on access, there is a number to text if you need anything urgent. I messaged the number and am still waiting to hear back. Long story long, I eventually figured it out. Accessing the unit was simple enough, however it was very dated. I was put on alert because the welcome message mentioned to make sure the door is closed securely behind me more than once. The only light in the room was a janky standing light that was not plugged in, so it was very dark. When I did get it plugged in, it only lit about half the room. The faucet was dripping in the dated bathroom, and the shower was flaking and had seen many better days. As a frequent solo traveler, this is the first time I actually left a location or even felt compelled to leave a review.

TV doesn't work/lose hair at areas of the carpet/tiles in kitchen are broken/smells like cigarettes

It was AWFUL. The place smelled like cigarette smoke and my wife has asthma. It was advertised as nonsmoking. This was very disappointing We contacted mgt to help us fix tv so our kids could watch before bed but they did nothing. The coffee maker did not work. Floor tiles were sticking up and could cut someone's foot. No help with any of our problems. We strongly feel we deserve a partial refund but we were ignored on that front as well. Would never stay there again.
