This home is in an amazing location with seemingly limitless views of the ocean. Scott was great and easy to communicate with. As a bonus, if you like to cook/grill, the kitchen is built for a chef and there's is a nice (and clean) grill. Highly recommend getting up early to watch the sunrise - it's worth it!

Fabulous

Wonderful property. Stunning views and amazing beach. The house was very comfortable indeed. Great beds, air conditioning, and wonderful bathrooms too. Lovely gathering spaces and a kitchen that had everything anyone would need. This is one to go back to, for sure.

Best views and fantastic beach

This lovely cottage has an incredible view from the top floor deck. A quick walk to a fabulous, uncrowded beach makes for a relaxing vacation. The kitchen in the cottage is terrific. The bathrooms are updated and spotless. My sons are 6'5" and 6'4" and they especially appreciated the high ceilings and large couch and love seat.

WE had a great time. It was the first time my 18 month old grandson played in the ocean and he loved it-even though the water was 60 degrees! The stairs to the beach were a little precarious for us old folk- but doable.

September get away

Fantastic stay. Beautifully appointed house with views to die for! Beach access was so easy and the beach itself was nearly empty and so clean. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Very relaxing and we hope to be back soon.

Beautiful home with amazing views

This updated house is a step above the typical rental and the ocean views can't be beat. The owner takes great care of the house and was extremely responsive to questions. The beach is just down a small road and some steps. Warning for parents of small children: If you're not familiar with Wellfleet or the Cape, this is an oceanside beach that is fairly steep at this spot with big waves. In fact, there were surfers in this exact location most days that we went there. Your young kids probably won't be playing directly in the waves except during low tide when it flattens out a bit. But this is hardly a problem given the proximity to many other Wellfleet beaches and ponds. Even with our young kids, we still visited this beach every day to walk, play in the sand, or look at the stars.

Ocean views for dinner

This house was just what we were looking for. The views are amazing and the house is wonderfully done. The kitchen is a delight and as well stocked as home. Meals are at a lovely table looking out onto the ocean. The beds are comfortable and come in a helpful array of sizes. But the real unsung hero is the bath - placed at a pair of windows and under a skylight. What a joy. We will be back.

We loved this beautifully-designed and thoughtfully equipped house, with exceptional ocean views that enchanted us again and again. To jump the salt waves in the morning on a perfect beach & swim in a crystal-clear kettle pond in the afternoon, grill & eat on the breezy deck or dine out a short drive away at Wellfleet’s Wicked Oyster; then fall asleep with the sounds and scent of the sea & wake to another sunrise shimmering over the Atlantic
it was summer distilled into a memorable week. In late June, with temperatures reaching 84 on the hottest day, but mostly 70s, we did not miss A/C.

Captain's cottage

Magical spot on Ocean View. To say the least the view is spectacular. This is our fifth year at Itty Bitty. Every day is just perfect rain or shine. The original was special with old footsteps and memories. The new is certainly more comfortable and convenient. Everything you would need to have a great vacation : an excellent kitchen, great rain showers , TV services, all necessary equipment, great bedrooms upstairs with adjoining porch lookout and of course the very best ever outdoor shower with a view of the ocean. We have thoroughly enjoyed every visit to Wellfleet staying at Itty Bitty. Scott has always been gracious and accommodating in arrangements for our visits. Wish we were there! Truly a magical place. I didnt want to leave .. ever.

This place is newly (re)built, and as such is perfectly designed to capture and enjoy the ocean views in as many ways as possible. It is definately geared towards owner occupied so has better than your usual rental type materials, kitchen, et al. It is a short down hill walk to the beach, a short drive to Wellfleet, and just an all around great place to be. We hope to return but alas the availability is limited. I dont want to recomend it because i want it all to myself, and of course, i cant recomend it enough. Enjoy it if you can.

Amazing beach experience! Magical views, sand, seals and more!

This house has it all! We have come to Wellfleet many years now and we couldn't have asked for anything more! The house, itself, has all your needs - a fully-equipped kitchen, outdoor shower, lovely in house "rain-dripping showers," comfy beds, internet and tv access (we were avid watchers of the 2018 World Cup), and so much more! In terms of outside, it was such rich ecological landscape - magical views (sunrise especially with all the bright colors), more gray seals than you can count, sandy beaches, rock/shell collecting, nearby walkable fresh water ponds and bike paths. It was such a wonderful trip for our family (including grandparents) that we would highly, highly recommend to any traveller looking to experience the wonders of the Cape Cod National Seashore!

Perfect Place for a Relaxing Cape Cod Vacation

We spent 5 days in this lovely cottage. It's beautiful and simple---perfect for a family vacation or for a few couples traveling together. We loved the thoughtful amenities such as Sonos sound system, multiple internet connections, well-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and even binoculars to look for sea life. Although weather for our mid-May week was cool, the location was perfect for walks on the beach, exploring Provincetown and the national seashore parks, and just hanging out together playing games.The stairs to the beach were out of commission while we were there, so getting down to the beach would be challenging for anyone not fairly agile. The nearby French bakery was a pleasant bonus and we enjoyed croissants for breakfast several mornings.

Fantastic

Wonderful property with views of the ocean from every room, a path down to the beach and cross-the-road proximity to national seashore trails. Radiant floor heating system and fireplace were great for our visit over the winter holidays. Owner very responsive. Highly recommend!

The moment you walk into this cottage you are surrounded by ocean views! The kitchen was well equipped and very close to the beach. We loved the property and are already planning our next trip.

A rare find on the Cape Cod Seashore!

We were looking for an "ocean front" property and found it in Scott's place. The views were incredible and the accommodations first rate. At first we were a little nervous about the linen rental but Furies had them waiting for us at the front door. Thanks for a great stay Scott!!

Wonderul

My family stayed at this house for two weeks, and they were fantastic. I am still missing the view from the deck. My kids loved their upstairs bedroom nooks. The half bath between the two bedrooms worked perfectly for us. The walk down to the beach was so convenient. We never even bought a beach pass. Can't wait for next year!

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

I intend to retire in this house and, until I can afford that, I'm renting it out so that others can enjoy this incredible seaside cottage.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

This cottage is newly rebuilt in the spirit of the original cottage that was first built in 1905 by Captain Lorenzo Baker, just to the south at a site near the Marconi wireless experiments, and was moved here a few months later, becoming the first home on Ocean View Drive. This little spot has seen a lot over the years.

It is located overlooking a hollow to the sea, and the panoramic view of the ocean is breathtaking. One can hear and see the shore break, as well as whales playing as they migrate. At night the quiet of the woods is calming, and starry nights are serene. This location is very special.
