We were pleased to find this house available for Labor Day weekend, as we have stayed there many times before. It's large, beautiful, several sitting areas and across the street from the beach. A wonderful place for family to congregate!

This house was fantastic and accommodated our group of 8 perfectly. We were here for a family wedding. The 2 family rooms and multiple porches were wonderful. Our host, Susan, was so easy to work with. I highly recommend this house for you stay.

Amazing beach house! Beautifully maintained, with spacious gathering areas and porches. We enjoyed spectacular sunrise views! Hostess was gracious and responsive to questions in a timely manner. Our family had a wonderful time and we would definitely book again.

The Grayson Family Thanksgiving Vacation

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving week at this beautiful home. The kitchen was a great gathering spot
we prepared many meals. The bedrooms were very comfortable, each with its own bathroom, plenty of personal space. Each bedroom had a deck connected to it, which was great. The deck on the top level with the fire pit was wonderful. I definitely recommend this home. It is comfortable, spacious, plenty amenities, luxurious. The community of Debordieu is very nice too.

Perfect Fall Family Getaway!

The beautiful rental property was ideally located across the street from DeBordieu Beach. Our check-in was super easy and the host was a good and timely communicator. The home was perfectly sized for our family of 8 plus a newborn.

Great stay

We have been coming to Debordieu for over 20 years and this is now one of our favorites. Very convenient to beach and amenities and also plenty of space to accommodate all of our inside needs - remote work, read, catch up, eat, etc. There are numerous porches for a relaxing spot no matter the time of day. Sue was a fantastic host who made us feel at home - before we even got there.

Gorgeous home and location

We had a lovely time on Debordieu, the house is perfectly located, short walk to the beach with views of the ocean and enjoyed the waterway out back with a blue heron. The house was fully stocked and included beach gear (chairs, boogie boards, beach cart). The best was the communication from our host, easy and quick responses before and after the trip.

Great house near a beautiful secluded beach!

My family if 6 (2 adults and 4 grown children, and 2 dogs) had a wonderful stay at Susan’s house. The house was spacious with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The proximity to the beach is fantastic (directly across the street from the short access path). The community is very quiet and the residents are very friendly. And the whole place was extremely dog friendly! Communication with Susan was a breeze. We would love to go back!

Great family vacation

The house was great for our family! Plenty of room to spread out. Very well equipped with everything we needed, beach chairs, toys, and more. The elevator was much needed for my husband that uses a cane. Beach access is right across the street. Beautiful home and wonderful week đŸ–ïžđŸ™ŒđŸ‘

Lovely house in a Great Location

We had a wonderful stay at this home. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfortable, and the screened in porches are wonderful for lounging in the early morning with coffee or late afternoon with a glass of wine. The location is perfect
an easy walk to the beach but also a quieter area in Debordieu for walking. We brought our 2 dogs & they had the best time! My young adult children always love to do an early evening cruise around in the golf cart before dinner & kept the tradition alive on this trip. (Definitely consider renting one.) This was our second time at this property & we will be back! Susan is an excellent hostess & extremely attentive to the experience of her guests, which is truly the icing on this cake of a vacay.

Fantastic Owner to work With. Beautiful Beach house. I need more time off!!

Susan is the absolute best. It has been a long time since I got to rent directly from an owner, and it was a pleasure. The whole experience took me back to when we would rent beach houses from friends and really just relax and enjoy the time. Using the facilities of the private community costs some money, but it is so uncrowded even on a holiday weekend, to me it makes sense. It is an experience, not in overdone opulence or catering to you like a king or queen, but one where you can have the space to find yourself immersed so deeply that you forget your throwing the ball on the beach for your dog without a leash. Where am I? What am I doing? I'll throw the ball again, stop bumping me with your head so hard, you're spilling my cocktail. This is the house where all the good times went that you can't seem to find anymore.

Wonderful vacation!

We had 5 adults and 3 children and a dog. Space wise, the house fit our needs perfectly. Loved all the living space, especially the screened in porch. Some small fixes would be appreciated by renters but overall it was a great time. Close to the beach, which was not crowded at all. Our dog loved taking his morning walk on the beach. We would definitely go back! And Susan (the owner) was very helpful with everything.

Nice house. Very responsive owner!

The house had plenty of room for 8 adults (3 were college-aged) to spread out or to gather together. The kitchen was spacious and made meal assembly easy! Short walk to the beach (as in across the street!!). We had an unexpected water leak the first night and the owner was exceptionally responsive, taking my phone call & getting someone out immediately on a Saturday night! It was appreciated!

Great rental house!

Our family rented this house for a week and everything was fantastic. The upstairs screen porch is perfect for relaxing and eating outside when weather allows. The location is perfect just across the street from a beach path. The owner was very communicative and hospitable, which made our week that much more enjoyable. We will certainly return in the future.

Gracious host. Wonderful property.

I cannot say enough about Susan. Even over the Thanksgiving holiday, she was so communicative and wanted to ensure that our stay was wonderful. The house is well equipped with everything one needs for entertaining. There were even bicycles for our group to ride, and Susan permitted us use of her private golf cart. It was like staying at a friend's house. I hope we were good guests and that perhaps we can return at some point.

needs to be cleaned and painted

We were staying in the colony for a friends wedding. This house was selected because we sought a nice home that would accept our son's small dog. My exceptions were apparently too high for this property. Upon arrival we noticed the home to be dirty with layers of dust on the louvers of the interior doors, cobb webs in corners' a dead bug in wine glass,"possible" black fungus growing in the HVAC vent in master bathroom water closet, dirty sink surfaces, and most troubling ,the sheets in the mater bedroom had numerous hairs on the top sheet. Of course we striped the bed and washed the linens. All owner provided pillows and linens ,towels were very worn and over used. This house is professionaly decorated ,however some of the upholstery in the great room is very dirty and needs cleaning. We placed sheets over the chairs and sofa while there. There is a rotting pumpkin on the porch. We have used VRBO for years. AWAYS the owners provide "at least" a nights stay of toilet paper, shampoo, and soap. There was minimal paper on a single role and NO soap or shampoo provide for late night arrival. Also ,please note that two of the six guest and the little dog were UNABLE to join us. This review is based on a 4 person stay. The owner was very communicative initially

Great Family Getaway and Birthday Celebration

The boys and men in my family are into inshore and deep sea fishing, thus we spent many a summer at beaches so they could do what they enjoyed while the girls and ladies did what they enjoyed; shopping, cooking, sitting on the beach with a great book. Debordieu provided the best of everything and closer for all of us. It is home away from home.

Deboridieu is so peaceful and serene, away from the hustle and bustle and traffic of the other beaches. It offers what I really wanted in beach visits, a lovely place to stay with gorgeous surroundings with little noise from the outside world.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The beds are confortable, the surrondings are pristine; sometimes early in the mornings I am the only person in sight on the beach. It is like a fairy tale place.
