Kom och njut av vår underbara stuga på 7 tunnland som gränsar till Ricketts Glen State Park. Platsen är fantastisk och aktiviteterna är oändliga!

Denna stuga ligger 1 mil från spetschefen för Ricketts Glen State Park - hem till 22 underbara vattenfall. Stugan ligger också i närheten av sjön Jean - där du kan hyra en kajak / kanot, åka till sandstranden i sjön, bada eller fiska!
Möjligheterna är oändliga!!!

Kom och njut av lugnet i landsbygden eller håll dig aktiv och gå på terrängcykling, längdskidåkning, snöskoter, snöskoter, stiglöpning eller jakt.

Stugan är rustik men har alla moderna bekvämligheter - luftkonditionering, internet, diskmaskin, fullt utrustat kök (redskap, platsinställningar, glas, köksredskap, grytor / kokkärl), inomhus gas spis, utomhus eldstad och kolgrill.

Adorable cabin in the woods

Our girl’s waterfall/photography hiking trip was so enjoyable at the little cabin in the woods. We had everything we needed for a fabulous time.

Father Son Weekend

Cabin was clean and comfortable, we spent a lot of time outside around the camp fire. Cabin is close to Rickets Glen State park for fishing and hiking.

Cozy Winter Getaway

My husband and I enjoyed a little getaway with our toddler for our anniversary. The cabin was cozy and comfortable for a chilly weekend getaway. Jess was a great host and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.

Weekend getaway

The house was super cute and cozy. Modern appliances and furniture was very comfortable. The shower pressure was great!,Private and set in a wooded lot away from the road. Beautiful landscaping and comfy chairs on front porch where we watched a thunderstorm.The owner was extremely accomodating and responsive. Even checked in after our 1st night to make sure we didnt need anything. Property is minutes from state park. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this property to escape from the chaos of your day to day!

Night away in the woods

We had a peaceful stay. We did a one nighter to relax and recharge. The cabin had great amenities for a night in. We arrived during a snow storm and the scenery was picture perfect. Great find for a short visit or a longer visit!!

Beautiful Cabin!

My wife and I loved this cabin and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a stay near Ricketts Glen! The cabin itself is beautiful and very clean. The host was very attentive and helpful with tons of great information inside the cabin regarding the surrounding area. It is a great bonus that it is located within minutes of the park!

Snowy weekend get away

Very nice cabin, felt very welcoming and homey! Accessibility to everything was great! It was the best time, experience and weekend in a very long time! Would recommend to everyone! Would definitely like the return.

A great find!

This property is beautifully maintained and better than what we expected! The exterior landscaping and the fire pit were such a lovely welcome, the kitchen had everything we needed (and some pantry essentials we forgot to pack!). The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms had consistent water pressure/temperature, and the living room was cozy. The extras - games, throw blankets, bug spray - were so thoughtful, and much appreciated. Can’t beat the location - centrally located and easy to get to all Ricketts Glen trails, and close enough that we also traveled to nearby Worlds End park. The home itself is off of a major road, but it’s set back enough and doesn’t disturb the peace. Really can’t say enough great things about this property and can’t wait to return!

Perfect location for hiking Ricketts Glen

I found Cabin in the Woods (aka Fish Tales Inn) from reading comments on Facebook regarding the Falls Trail at Ricketts Glen State Park…absolutely perfect location if you are looking to do the same…and the 21waterfalls are beautiful!!! There is a huge fire ring for making campfires to stay warm at night, make mountain pies, smores, etc. Two grocery stores are nearby (Country Fresh Market and Mountain Fresh Supermarket) if looking to buy your groceries there. However, Country Fresh Market does not sell corned beef at the deli, except around St. Patrick’s day, if wanting to make rueben mountain pies…may want to plan ahead for that. Highly recommend and we are actually talking about a return trip maybe for next year. Jessica was very responsive with any changes and questions we had as well.

One-night Stay

Check in was very easy and convenient. The Inn appeared clean and had a nice atmosphere. There was an unpleasant preexisting odor that we could smell walking into the Inn coming from both bathrooms. One bathroom was off the downstairs bedroom. The odor from the bathroom leaked in from the walls to where we could not sleep in that bedroom at all. The hand soap dispensers were so used that hardly anything was coming out of them because it was leaking from the sides. When I turned on the fan in the downstairs bedroom, large clumps of dust flew everywhere. After two showers, we ran out of hot water.

Snowy Winter Retreat

The property was well kept, homey, and clean. There was plenty of room, and the location being close to the Falls Trail was wonderful. We got to hike the trail after receiving 6 inches of snow. Absolutely wonderful!

Cabin in the woods

Great location near Ricketts Glen State Park. Responsive property manager and cute decor. Bathrooms are small but functional. A very nice place for a weekend getaway.

Excellent location for hiking the Falls Trail

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin is so comfortable with everything you need. The location is perfect for walking the Falls Trail and is close to the Ricketts Glen Hotel which we ate at and were very pleased.

Cool cabin

Property was very clean and cozy. Great location only 5 minutes from Rickets Glen Falls trails. Would definitely make a return visit and recommend if your looking to visit the state park.

I (Jess) grew up right down the road from Ricketts Glen State Park - working at Lake Jean as a lifeguard through high school and college. I did not realize how lucky I was living so close to this little gem in PA! Once I moved away for work - I missed the area, the quiet, and the people. Once we bought a cabin to spend the weekends, we wanted to share it with others when we were not using it. We love to share the local area and great little places tucked away in Northeast PA!
