Hidden Gem!

We had a fantastic week! The beach is so close! Up a few stairs and over the sand dune to the beach. Perfect location. Our dog Mac had a great time. He even made some friends. We met David. He is the kindest gentleman. We hung out in the front of our place which we called “ Manson Alley” and met some really nice people. So many restaurants close. Cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We had so much fun! Can’t wait to go back!!

Prime location!

The long weekend stay at Hootie and blue fish was amazing! The location is great and just a few steps away from the beach! The cottage is clean and have a nice kitchen for cooking! A great choice if you plan for a family trip to OBX!

Just what we needed!

Perfect get away for us and our 2 dogos! If you are concerned about the thread count of your sheets at home, valet parking or any other highbrow nonsense this is probably not your place. If you're looking for looking for a cute little cottage on the beach that's pet friendly, you found it. It was perfect for our needs!

Hootie is a hoot

We rented the cottage for 5 days and brought our pup along. The place was clean and well stocked with cleaning supplies and toiletries. The owner even left a treat bag for our dog. We enjoyed our stay at this property and the location.

Fall Get-Away

We wanted to take a mini vacation with the family and dogs and come across Hootie and the Blue Fish at 2 Fish Cay. What a little gem of a cottage. Small cottage but big enough for 4 adults and 2 larger dogs. Very clean and owner checked on us more than once to ensure everything was okay. We definitely plan to make a return trip next October!

4th July vacation

Great cozy right off beach cottage. Easy access to the beach and all attractions. Owner checked with us upon arrival was very friendly and told us to make him aware of any problems we might encounter (there were none).

We really like this property having previously stayed there last November. For my husband and I and one dog it’s the perfect size and location is great. Can’t imagine staying anywhere else in OBX.

Cute cottage in awesome location

This is our second time staying at this location. We chose it the first time because it was dog friendly and on the beach. You can’t beat the location and the price, so we came back again! We take our bicycles and ride them everywhere. Located across the street from Tortuga’s Lie and Galaxy Golf and next the public beach access, Which is handicap friendly. The owner, Dave, Is a great host and makes you feel welcomed. We will definitely stay here again when we return! Thanks for everything, Dave!

Weekend getaway

Pretty awesome place to stay, David was nearby right on site and available for any questions and suggestions. Centered in the middle of all the action and steps from the beach. Would recommend to all.

Cute, close to beach

Parking is a little tight, so drive small, but otherwise nice little place for long weekend. Has a nice staired path to beach. Convenient to lots of restaurants, etc

Great stay!

Great location, ocean side with direct access to beach. Property is well-cared for and pet friendly. We met owners David and Anne at the end of our 5 night stay. They were very nice and asked that we were happy with accommodations. Already planning for another stay.

Easy, pleasant stay in Nags Head

Tidy, lovely cottage just a few steps from the beach. Everything we needed was there and we really appreciated the thoughtful gift bag with helpful items in it. Great restaurant (Tortuga's Lie) in walking distance. Ocean, beach, sun and wind for flying kites -- who could ask for anything more?

Anniversary getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Hootie and the Bluefish. Convenient location and close to the beach. The cottage is cozy but roomy for its size. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed for cooking and eating in., something that’s lacking in a lot of cases. Nice that it’s pet friendly also.
