Perfect place, walk to the bay

This was a great home base for the northern leg of our outer banks trip! Convenient location for all the sights. 5-minute walk to the bay, which is a great spot to watch the sunset. Just a little longer walk to the beach on the ocean side. Neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, even though it's so close to the main road. The property itself was great. We loved sitting out on the deck in the evenings. Kitchen had everything we needed. Overall a great stay!

Enjoy time on OBX close to our family

Enjoyed time with our family at OBX area. Very convenient distance to all that we wanted to visit and close to our friends and family living at OBX area. House pretty clean and in quiet neighborhood, close to bay area, nice to go for a walk around. House has nice kids bedroom with some toys for them. However would be nice some instruction how to switch Cable TV however I was glad we didnt figure this out since we spend time together without electronic :). Could be nice maybe have some sugar and little milk or creamer or teabags at least to be able to make coffee first thing in the morning but nearby store covered this. Overall thank you that we could stay for few nights.

Pet friendly house rental!

My family and I and our two dogs rented this property the week starting the day after Christmas. This property is exactly how it is described in the listing. It is very clean and all linens are provided which is awesome. The kitchen is fully stocked with plates, pots and utensils. They have a huge movie collection and also Wii for the kids. This was our first time in the Outer Banks and loved it. It is also great for people who travel with their pets. The fenced in backyard lets the dogs run free without having to be on a leash all the time. This house is a block away from the bay and a short drive to the ocean. We would definitely stay in this house again!

PERFECT!

The house was just perfect for the 5 of us and our dogs. It was very clean and had everything we needed. It had all the kitchen utensils and appliances you would ever need. The washer and dryer came in very handy. It is a 4 minute drive to the beach and a 5 min walk to the sound side. There is small dog park in the neighborhood where the dogs can play in the sound side. It was well worth it. We had the time of our lives! There was only one downfall, the king size bed in the master suite had railings that stuck out which I kept running into, lol. I had bruises all around my thighs, lol. It was completely worth it though. I would definitely stay here again.

Summer 2013

We spent our summer at Jennie and Jerry's and really made it our home for the summer. The listing and all of the reviews before mine are accurate so I would like to give some helpful hints about the area. Bikes are a great idea, there is a path on Bay drive that is great. You can ride to the beach, use Helga it has a traffic light and in season YOU NEED TO USE IT!! DVO surf shop one block down from Helga has bikes,SUP boards, kayaks for rent at great prices. As far as restaurants, I would recommend Ocean Boulevard, The Bad Bean, The bistro at Seaside Ranch, The Red Drum, Blue Moon, The Brewery, Fish heads, Blue Point and North Banks. Fishing off one of the piers is great, we liked OBX Pier the best and that is where Fish Heads is. A day trip to Hatteras is a great idea, if you are going to Ocracoke, spend the night! If you like to golf, Nags Head Golf Links is the best all around...Loved it!! We are already talking about a return trip...BEST SUMMER EVER!! I would 100% recommend this property!!

The house is a few minutes away from food, gas, stores, and most importantly the beach. The neighbors and neighborhood seemed nice. Not many people out and about, but when we walked around the few people we saw said hello. Just in general we felt safe and relaxed. Its exactly what we needed.

Wonderful place

The house is exactly as described in review. Clean and fresh. Placed perfectly in OBX that all attractions and beaches were within 25 minutes either way. Highly recommend staying here for an OBX trip!!

Fantastic Property and Owners

This vacation exceeded our expectations. I will start off saying that Jerry and Jennifer were so accommodating, they were there if we needed anything at all. This was 3rd year staying in Kills Devil Hill and we feel blessed to have found them this year. The house is the perfect size with all the amenities needed down to allot of DVD's!! It was also extremely clean which was one of the many perks!! We can't wait to return in 2026!!!

Great Stay

This was our second year staying here. This is going to be a yearly event with our friends. The house was exceptionally clean, plenty of pots/pans, dishes and utensils. Loved the fenced in backyard for our dogs. Easy to communicate with Jennifer. Beds were very comfortable. Will be back next year.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

This was our vacation home on the Outer Banks before we permanently located to Kitty Hawk. It is close to all amenities and attractions that the Outer Banks has to offer but peaceful and tranquil so you can enjoy your vacation.

Weekend and Partial week rentals are also available during the off season starting at $400 for a minimum of 2 nights (Last week of September - week before Easter). Partial weeks over the Holidays are an option also. Please message me for a quote.

The unique location gives you safety and peace of mind. Quiet residential area with a scenic walking area all up and down the between soundfront. A Gazebo is jointly owned by the community for your pleasure. There is a community boat ramp to launch in the neighborhood.
