Sandi’s an excellent host. She was prompt in communicating with me and welcoming upon arrival. The condo is clean & comfortable and views of Lake Superior are amazing. I would definitely recommend staying.

Fabulous, tidy place to stay

Sandi was a wonderful host! She was very warm and had so many great recommendations to make our first trip to the area fun. The accommodations were clean as a whistle and comfortable. The view from the porch is incredible. I would definitely stay here again!

Peace on the North Shore

Sandi and our stay at her property are the highlight of our summer. The location is peaceful but affords easy access to all the parks, forests, and small towns nearby. The space is comfy and there is nothing better than falling asleep to the sounds of the Big Lake wavea on the big lake.

Perfect

Amazing views! The photos online do not do this property justice! Location is near many conveniences, trails & Gran Marais, but perfectly secluded from hustle & bustle on the highway. Also very clean & comfortable. We’ll definitely book again!

Hidden Cove: Great location and unbeatable views

We so enjoy staying at Hidden Cove. The space is perfect, with nearly every window showing a beautiful view of Lake Superior. SHT and mountain biking are what we come for, and the location could not be better. The owner is lovely and very responsive. 10 out of 10.

Hidden Cove - a true gem.

Wonderful place to stay on the North Shore. Sandi is a fantastic host. The place felt like home from the moment we arrived. Very clean! , comfortable, and we had everything provided that we needed. Fantastic view of the Lake!

North Shore

The two bedrooms provided plenty of space for two couples, and we cooked up lovely meals in the kitchen. The view from the dining room was superb -- right over Lake Superior. What a great place from which to explore the North Shore from Judge CR Magney State Park to Tettegouche State Park!

Ski trip

This is our 2nd year staying at Hidden Cove. It is very cozy with a wonderful view of Lake Superior. It is just down the road from the entrance to Lutsen Mountain where we skied for several days. It was the perfect location for us and highly recommend. Also many restaurants and local music close by. Sandi was a wonderful host and available if needed. We will certainly plan to stay again. Thank you Sandi!

Big Lake views

Everything we need plus a fantastic view of Lake Superior! Lovely location away from the main road but with easy access to amenities like groceries, gas, and a laundromat. Sandi is warm, welcoming, and a good communicator - my 6yo appreciated her as much as we did. Comfy beds and sofa, stunning views, and an adventurer's path to the lakefront on property (getting down is easy, but getting back up can be a scramble.) We will definitely be back!

Perfect location, even in a fall rain

Sandi is the perfect host -- sweet, kind, caring. She went out of her way to make sure we had a lovely week. The property is gorgeous. If I could have taken home the deck that overlooks the lake, well, it would have been gone! The kitchen is spacious and incredibly well stocked. Overall it was a great week!

Property AND Sandi are amazing!

Loved everything about this property. Clean, well stocked, comfortable, AMAZING view, lots of privacy. It’s perfect! Sandi also went out of her way to send back my wedding and engagement ring, which I had left at the house. Saved me from some serious panic! 10/10 stay. Will stay here again, no question!

Lovely view came with disappointment.

When we arrived we had difficulty getting in to the property. Owner was out of state and did respond to our message in a timely fashion. It wasn’t until the following day that she responded. We were disappointed to find only one chair on the deck and had to take a kitchen chair in and out. The windows were dirty and several had broken cranks and couldn’t be opened. The view was lovely and the condo was well furnished with everything we needed.

High on Lake Superior

Very comfortable, clean accommodations. 18 steps up to second floor may be a challenge for older visitors. Wi-fi worked great. Outside deck overlooking the lake, very nice. Kitchen adequately provisioned, though we had to improvise a bit . Short drive up to Grand Marais for supplies. ONLY drawback: access to lakeshore is tricky, steep. Not a good place to set up camp chairs to sit by the lake. Otherwise, all good, very good.

North Shore spring break - Hiking and Skiing

Wow!! What a terrific place!! The accommodations are plentiful and comfortable; the kitchen is well stocked and has plenty of room to cook meals; the bedrooms and living areas also have ample room, are well-appointed, and very cozy. But the creme de la creme is the VIEW!!! This 2nd floor condo provides an amazing, close-up view of Lake Superior from the living, dining and kitchen areas. The property has its own beach/shoreline to explore as well. The location of the property couldn't have been better for access to hiking the State Parks up and down the North Shore, and put us at the doorstep of Lutsen Mountains for 2 days of skiing as well. On top of all of that, Sandi's attentiveness and hospitality were remarkable. We've enjoyed many VRBOs over the years, and Sandi takes first place for the welcome she provides, attention to detail, and responsiveness. We felt like family!! We'd come back in a heartbeat!!

Enjoyed our stay overall; bathroom situation negative

Overall the property was lovely and met our basic needs We travelled to Lutsen to ski at Lutsen Mountains and this unit is very close to the ski resort which was a positive. I specifically rented this site because it had two bedrooms with attached bathrooms to each bedroom. I wanted this set up as there were two families staying in the one unit. The bathroom in the master bedroom functioned properly. The bathroom connected to the second bedroom became clogged easily and required plunging after use and the plunger that was made available (thank you) was not clean. So, the bathroom situation for the second bathroom was negative and unpleasant. Also, the dish washer in the unit does not work which I would have liked to know ahead of time so that we didn't waste time loading it and then unloading it to wash the dishes by hand. Plenty of pillows were made available but pillow cases for these pillows were not made available. It would be an improvement to have extra pillow cases made available for all the pillows. The views of Lake Superior from this site are breath-taking and we were so close to Lake Superior that you could hear the waves crashing against the shore. I also appreciated that fans were made available in each bedroom (we used them for white noise while sleeping). Sandy communicated well with me about the specifics of the property so, there were no hiccups which I greatly appreciate. If I were to return to Lutsen for another ski trip, I would not rent this location again because of the bathroom issues.

We’re repeaters at Hidden Cove for many years now. Sandi is awesome and a fabulous host. The apartment is lovely with an amazing view of the lake and a lovely kitchen. Great location for easy access north and south for hikes and other destinations.
