The Pros: location is overall convenient, not being immediately in the tourist area allowed for a nice, quieter experience. It has a lot of charm being a modernized 100-year-old home. The downstairs toilet is a well thought addition. You can see elements (like a bricked up fireplace) & details like the wooden floors added to that vibe. Sleeping arrangements are great for groups & even though there is a single shower it kept up with hot water. We didn't use but - Awesome kitchen! Outdoor pit was neat.
The Cons: cleanliness was the largest concern. For the high cleaning fee attached this is unfortunately not excusable.
Arrival, we walked through the gate into a lot of spiderwebs & found lots of mail sticking out of box signaling no one had been by for a bit of time. Opened door to a massive house centipede hanging out around ceiling and spider webs in some corners. Initial upkeep appeared fine but it became quickly evident it was only surface level. Checking to see if there was a sofa bed revealed nobody has looked under cushions in a long time. There were food bits, receipts, & even found an old remote. There were stains throughout (carpet, some of bedding).
The back patio is unfortunately not the cozy vibe presented in the photos. Be advised lots of birds poop back there & lots of dead house plants stacked in pots kept along fence. I'd recommend consider adding chair covers for the loveseat & firepit chairs. At least covered, they can then be removed and used comfortably.
