The property was not in good condition, had to request the unit to be cleaned. Property Management was on it instantly and took care of all issues. Communication with the owner was not responsive and there are repair and mold needs that need to be addressed.

The property served our needs, but there was minimal consideration given to what renters need while they are on vacation. They were also so many maintenance issues that needed to be addressed. I spelled everything out on the paperwork. The location is great, the beach is great. But there were so many little things that were less than stellar.

Great location- Great place

Overall this was an anniversary trip for my husband and I. I was thrilled with the location and access to beach. Location was phenomenal. All food we ate was fantastic. I was very pleased with everything. I would stay here again off season.

Kiki's Haven

The condo was very clean and perfect for our family of four. They had board games available and we loved our view from the deck. The owner and property management staff were helpful, friendly, and accommodating.

Not terrible for a short stay

It was a great spot location ans property. The host is very reaponsive. There were a few hiccups regarding the smell mentioned in previous reviews, kitchen sink water lacking, the beach access rinse off/ shower spot wasn't operable either. A few days it was fine.

Off-season stay at beach condo

We stayed for 2 nights, out of season. Handy beach access. Quiet location - not sure how it would be in-season. Comfortable beds and fairly well equipped kitchen, good internet and cable/TVs. The VRBO listing changed after booking, as the condo now doesn't come with linens/towels - so you either have to bring everything now, or rent them. Also - no toilet paper, paper towels, soap etc on arrival and it is a pain to have to drive further away to a rental office to simply get a code for a lock on the door, that could have been provided electronically. I would look for somewhere more modern in the future for the price.

Wonderful week!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sea Oats! The pictures and description were accurate and it was well cleaned when we arrived. Great central location to explore the area, close to plenty of restaurants and shops. One of the smoke detectors needed a new battery when we arrived, Shana got us a replacement in a timely and convenient manner. Great unit, great host!

Strandurlaub Outer Banks

Wir wollten einen schönen Strandurlaub auf den Outer Banks erleben, leider nicht in dieser Unterkunft. Sie war nicht sauber, keine Bettwäsche und Handtücher vorhanden. Wir haben uns eine andere Unterkunft gesucht und versuchen nun unsere Vorauszahlung zurückzubekommen.

The property looked better in the pictures. It was old and smelled old. No welcome book to explain TV. Never found the remote on the front bedroom TV. Closets had owners junk just thrown in them and kitchen cabinets looked the same I was happy we only had to stay 2 nights on the positive the internet worked great

Read this review before booking-

As a former OBX, VRBO property owner- The location is good, but that's about all. The living area consists of goodwill type furnishings with an awfully dining table that was Smelly and sticky. The TV cable had almost no sports or business channels. The kitchen had no toaster oven or keurig coffee maker, just a old toaster and drip pot. The kitchen cold water was broken. The bathrooms were 1975 style with a faucet dripping in middle bath and both toilets needing plugging from time to time, and old and moldy. We asked for blankets, but Management ignored the request. It's typical OBX Management, put the vacationers off until there week is up. The place needs renovation. smelly and sticky.

The property was as described. We lived the location to beach, Wright Brothers museum, shops and food.we loved waking up to see the ocean. Owners are amazing. Hope to stay again.

Beautiful view and comfy beds

We had a comfortable, relaxing few days in the Outer Banks. Sitting on the deck and watching the sun rise over the ocean was pretty amazing. The floors could use better sweeping/mopping/vacuuming in between stays. Also, the kitchen has very few items: just enough dishes, and absolutely no condiments to compliment meals. We were grabbing meals at local establishments, but if you plan on cooking quite a bit, you’ll want to make sure you bring supplies with you.

Poor review

The property listing is deceiving. There was not a smart lock in operation, only a key box with one key for 4 people. The property was not clean, limited linens and the pool area was not available. The property is dated and not reflected accurately on the listing. Our check in was delayed by almost 2 hours due to lack of sending the code for the key box.

First time in the Outer Banks

My family and I stayed here and loved it! This property was in an excellent location close to so many restaurants. The view of the ocean from the balcony was priceless. The condo came equipped with everything you would need to just show up and relax. We also loved that there was a pool. The host was very responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

Location is great, condo - just “ok”

Overall this was an adequate place to stay. The location was prime and our kids loved the pool. It’s a small complex and there’s plenty of parking. I think what would have made it better was the overall upkeep. Both bathrooms have a moldy/damp smell and there seems to be a moisture issue. The main bath was moldy and the toilet paper and towel hook were falling off the wall. Contrary to the posting we were not left toilet paper or a roll of paper towels. No big deal, but don’t put it in the description if you’re not gonna do it. Both bathroom outlets also didn’t work. None of this was the end of the world but I would have rated higher had we not run into those issues.
