The host was very responsive and kindly allowed us to check in early, which we appreciated. The house was clean enough overall, and it was a budget-friendly option.Unfortunately, our stay was not very comfortable. We arrived in July in Palm Springs, and the air conditioning had not been turned on before our arrival. The house was 87 degrees inside, and because of the extreme outdoor heat, it took until well after midnight before the home felt even somewhat comfortable. When we asked about a fan, we were simply told that the house had air conditioning. We also noticed that the air filters were extremely dirty, which may have contributed to how poorly the system cooled the house. The refrigerator’s ice and water dispenser also appeared to need cleaning, as there were visible particles floating in the water. The bed in the ensuite bedroom was also very uncomfortable. It seemed either broken or the mattress was simply worn out.The host’s communication was a positive, but overall this was not a comfortable stay. It may work for someone looking for a basic, budget option, but we would not choose it again during the summer months.
