If you like noisy, plugged sinks, steep stairs, echoing hallways & sleep in the master bedroom close

If you prefer vague communication from your host, this is the rental for you. Be prepared for significant street noise due to the proximity of a public parking lot, fire station, and main street. The master bedroom sinks are consistently clogged. For a quiet night's sleep, the master bedroom closet is recommended. This property features three floors connected by steep, narrow stairs. The first-floor bedroom is best suited for those you wish to isolate

Worst experience

My stay never happened, communication with the host was horrible. My family was stranded since our stay had to be cancelled the night we were supposed to check in. Extremely disappointed

Irvine townhome

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this modern townhome in Irvine, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, it felt like a home away from home. The space was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully furnished with all the comforts we needed for a relaxing stay.The kitchen was fully equipped, and the living room was spacious and cozy for family. The bedrooms were comfortable, with linens and towels provided. The private patio was a nice touch, offering a peaceful spot to unwind in the evenings.The location was in a safe neighborhood and close to everything Irvine has to offer, including shopping, dining, and parks. We also loved how easy it was to access major highways, making trips to nearby attractions a breeze.Communication with the host was excellent. They were responsive, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely return for our next trip to Irvine!

We rented this property but do not know if it exists since we never received access info despite multiple messages, texts, calls to the host. Finally with VRBO assistance, we got response from host sending us to a different 3-story, 4brs townhouse. We got there and found that only the living/kitchen floor has been cleaned, not the rest. After more repeated calls to the host, a cleaning crew finally came at 8pm and didn't finish til 10pm. Awful way to start a stay.Comment below are for the place we stayed but some may apply to other properties managed by the same host.The house has some good points, plenty of bathrooms, 2-car garage plus outside parking space, good location but it needs many changes to be a decent rental.Stairs carpet needs deep cleaning or replacement.Large kitchen counter has 4 swivel stools, 2 are flaky and feel like they may tip over if you lean back. 4 is not enough for a 4 beds place, provisioning is minimal, there's plates/bowls for 8 and a rack of spices and that's about it. Not even extra trash bags. Dining/nook area needs a dining set for families instead of desk. Thin floor mats are slip&fall hazards.Towels are threadbare, beds are lower than normal, one just has mattress on the floor, the other raised about 3", ok to sleep but not to sit. No chairs inside the house.Worst part is host communication.

Inaccurate listing, overall disappointing, and absent host

Place is not as advertised. These pictures are from a different condo completely, and house location is not in listed vicinity. We had picked this listing for its location, so it was disappointing to find out the house was in a different area. Advertised location in quiet, walkable area, actual location on busy streets near the airport. The house itself was not clean on arrival. The check-in was at 4, and when we arrived at 5, the cleaners were still there and had only just started. Cleaners left shortly after our arrival even though we requested that they finish. Stairs not mentioned in listing, house appears to be one story in photos and details. Stairs were not conducive to having young children.There were no instructions for the house. Host did not respond to messages on VRBO website, and had to be called directly each time for all minutiae such as door code, wifi password, actual street address. There were no instructions regarding trash day (and trash can overflowing on arrival).House in disrepair. Front door code would unlock door but not lock from outside. Torn carpet in upstairs bedroom. Pictures not hung on walls. Washing machine filthy and stained. Every sink in the house was clogged and slow to drain. Downstairs bedroom mattress sitting on the floor without a frame, which is a hazard for mold growth due to lack of air flow.House has potential, but needs upkeep, correct listing/advertisement, and more information up front from host with instructions.
