Enjoy amazing views & tranquility at this remote Gulf of America beach front lodge. The sunrise colors will blow you away, as will walks on the white, powdery beach. This cozy & rustic 1,600 square foot lodge sits on a one acre lot with private beach access. If you are looking for serenity & peace, then you will love Sunrise Lodge's lands-end vibe. Perfect for a group of 4. Amenities include: Large deck with chairs and BBQ, screened common room, fire pit with chairs. The indoor fire place visible on the photos is disabled.

Sunrise Lodge sits right next to peaceful & beautiful Bald Point state park, which offers great paddling and fishing.

There's a major Publix grocery store 30 minutes away in Crawfordville, and a Dollar General with basic food 15 minutes away in Panacea. Several good restaurants with 15-20 minutes.

Important: Our home is a strictly animal-free zone due to severe allergies in our family. No parties. No Smoking. Min. renter age 25. Access limited to occupants listed on the booking.

Quiet and relaxing

Wonderful place to stay. Very quiet. Close to end of the road, so very little traffic. Nice beach.

VRBO Was Horrible

Booked our stay back in the summer. About a month before we were to stay we noticed that the property was for sale. About a month before our stay we saw that the property had been sold. We contacted the VRBO manager and they assured us that there was no problem with our reservation. Then a little over a week before we were to arrive, we received notice that our booking was cancelled! It took several days and over 4 hours on the phone with people in other countries with a passing knowledge of English to finally get our reservation rebooked. For a while until we received our refund on the cancelled booking we had paid twice. So you can see that our experience with VRBO was not handled well, never even got an apology. Also although we did have an enjoyable time, one of our criteria for selecting this rental was that it had a fireplace. Well, after we rebooked we found out that the fireplace was disabled due to insurance issues.

Peaceful Getaway

An amazing property. Beautiful private beach with a well-equipped, well maintained, beach house. Just what we were looking for. We will definitely be back

Very impressive property

My 3 olderSons and myself came for a fishing trip. The property was very impressive and well maintained. It was secluded and basically right on the beach. My boys (men actually) loved the location and the look of the property. The only downside was the amount of grass that had washed up onto the beach. It was thick and everywhere up and down the beach. Definitely not anyones fault but made fishing difficult at best. However, we would not hesitate to stay again next year. It was a very nice trip.

Wonderful Beach Vacation

Limulus has very nice furnishings, a very well supplied kitchen, comfortable beds and linens and beautiful views. We have been here many times in the past and will return again.

Great getaway

Loved the location. Private and beach front. Some minor updates needed, but nothing affecting safety. The tv uses wifi, so heavy computer uses should be aware that the speed is DSL. The loft has two beds for those who don't mind climbing stairs. We liked having the main sleeping areas on the main floor. It made our Thanksgiving a great time away!

Wonderful time!

Our family enjoyed our stay! The location was amazing, so quiet and relaxing. We saw deer every evening and we even caught a few sea trout while fishing from the beach. The house and location was exactly as the listing described. Can’t wait to go back!
