Vårt hem har utsikt över Black River-steg från centrala South Haven och en 7 minuters promenad längs Riverwalk till South Beach och South Haven-fyren.
Den första nivån i vårt hem är strandstuga dekorerad med alla bekvämligheter du behöver för en avkopplande strandsemester med bekvämligheten i South Havens butiker och restauranger bokstavligen runt hörnet.

South Haven blir ett vinterunderland som normalt börjar under semestern. Längdskidåkning, snöskor, skridskoåkning och pulka är några av de närliggande aktiviteterna, särskilt under Ice Breaker Fest i februari!

Under säsongen, vanligtvis från Memorial till Labor Day helger, föredrar vi varje vecka, lördag till lördag hyror till $ 1400 per vecka.
Dagliga priser på $ 250 (minst 3 dagar) kan vara tillgängliga på begäran.

This is one of our favorite places to stay. The view of the marina, and the manicured lawn and gardens, is quite wonderful. Very peaceful, and relaxing. And yet, you are but a 5 minute walk to downtown. It is a location, and a property, that can't be beat.

First time to travel to Michigan

Great location. Lots going on for July 4th holiday. Good recommendations on places to eat. Went to multiple towns on the strip and liked South Haven the best.

We loved the location at the end of a dead-end road and the hosts were really nice people. We had a great time in SH and will come back sometime in the future. The only complaint is the floors are thin and we can hear the owners upstairs, but we loved the place.

Girls getaway was outstanding

Always a great place to stay

Lovely weekend

Beautiful home in a great location. Close to the beach on a quiet street. Communication with host was very helpful. Easy check in. Fresh flowers in the unit and coffee were a nice touch. Beautiful garden and nice screened porch. Hope to visit again. Great weekend with friends.

Cute apartment!

The perfect size and accommodations for our group of 4. We loved and enjoyed sitting out on the screened in porch over looking the Black River. If you ever stay here, make sure you check out their impressive flower garden. My only request would be to have more comfortable beds.

Great location!

First, I want to compliment the host (John) who was very nice and great with communication before and during the whole trip. Second- the location was fantastic. It was the last house on a dead end right be the lake. I loved sitting on the covered porch swing and watching the boats. We could walk downtown (a couple blocks) or walk down to the Riverfront walk. Watching the beautiful sunset was a bonus. We ate dinner and shopped or just walked around South Haven. That town is hopping. We had to wait to get in restaurants. We also took a short drive to Saugantuck which was a beautiful artsy/charming town. We walked along the waterway, as well as ate there. Not sure why I waited so long to visit that area. It quickly become a favorite. Enjoy your trip if you go! Linda

Wonderful location

This apartment was perfect for our needs. Close to town and in a very quaint neighborhood. We had everything we needed . We also had access to beach chairs umbrellas coolers and anything we needed for beach days! Only slight complaint was the mattress on the queen bed but not a deal breaker. Had a wonderful time here drinking our coffee on the porch overlooking the harbor

The perfect getaway

This is our second stay at crimson sun and we love it! The perfect location to walk into town or to the beach, quiet at night and the best hosts. The home is always clean and comfortable. Check in is super easy and the gardens around the home are perfect for pictures!

Great South Haven Location

Beautiful and comfortable property with perfect location very close to town and South Beach on quiet street. Property has everything you need for a peaceful beach vacation. Loved the screened in porch with outside dining and view of boats.

Family trip

We recently stayed at this lovely home with our two young children, aged four and six, and had a wonderful experience. The house was perfect for our family. It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable—they provided clean towels, beach toys, and even activities to keep the kids entertained. The garden was beautiful and added to the charm of the place. The hosts were incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating, making us feel right at home. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm and welcoming stay. We would definitely come back

Wonderful week!

We loved our week in South Haven! The house was exactly as pictured and described. It was a perfect location for walking to the beach and to downtown. John, Sally and Dan were so kind and helpful throughout the entire week. Our children loved exploring their beautiful garden. We will definitely be back!

Excellent location

We had an amazing two night stay here while I was in town for a HDPE event at Gingerman Raceway. The drive was less than 12 minutes to Gingerman and within walking distance of everything downtown South Haven including the beach. Terrific location, clean, and well maintained. Lovely garden as well. I also drive a lowered car and it was able to clear the driveway entry, just barely!

Perfect for Our Girls’ Trip!

The location was absolutely fantastic and our hosts were so amazing. They brought us fresh cut flowers from their beautiful garden, made sure we were set and then left us alone. Easy keypad check-in, comfortable and clean space, and walking distance to everything we wanted to do in SoHa! We will definitely be back!!

Overlook South Haven Harbor

Nice property with a beautiful sprawling garden throughout the yard. It's a bit cramped inside, but you want to get out to the beach anyway! We were given a fresh bunch of flowers, which was nice. Communication with the owners was good, and we received good restaurant suggestions. The ceiling is not the most soundproof, and it's quite easy to hear walking from the upstairs where the owners stay. Some were pretty late at night. But I have very sensitive hearing, so it may not be an issue for most people. And I wouldn't consider the noise excessive.

Owners Sally and John have lived or vacationed in Southwest Michigan for over 50 years. Crimson Sun became our permanent home in 2012, though we purchased the property in 2001, since John retired from a lifelong career with a global management and technology services company. Sally is an artist who enjoys depicting local scenes and activity wherever they happen to be in the world. Her creativity is fascinating and on display in our home and wherever else we have lived.
We enjoy travel having lived in Illinois, North Carolina, Washington state, Melbourne Australia and southwest Michigan. In addition, we've been fortunate to have visited every State in the USA, Canada, Mexico, much of Europe (Italy has been a favourite destination), the UK, Iceland, Ethiopia, Turkey, Greece, Nepal, India, most of Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysian Borneo. We love the outdoors, natural flora and fauna including a passion for our natural environment. We completely rebuilt our home re-using or recycling everything possible dumpster-free. And, we're currently working to further improve our energy consumption and return our surrounding landscape to an indigenous and maintenance-free environment.

We enjoy meeting people from all walks of life, love to discuss any of our interests and most importantly, truly enjoy hearing the life stories of others. At the same time, we fully respect your desire to be "on holiday" with a break from other people. So, our goal is to help you achieve whatever you intend by visiting our part of the world.
