Stora gourmetkök med skafferi, äkta slaktblock på Vermont på en stor ö, helt nya rostfria vitvaror, inklusive Bosch gasspis. Angränsande till köket är en solig matsal med fönster på tre sidor och en dörr till verandan. Till den andra sidan av köket kan du koppla av i ett stort vardagsrum med en enorm öppen spis och en "smart" TV (för de sällsynta stunderna när du kanske vill titta på TV istället för att njuta av utsidan).

Från köket kommer en hall ta dig till sidan av huset som vetter mot den vackra dammen. En elegant "formell" vardagsrum i kolonialstil med öppen spis och ett stort sovrum med underbara badrum (inklusive badkar och superstor dusch), klädkammare och vacker utsikt över dammen, berg och träd väntar. Dessutom finns ett pulverrum och en drömtvätt (om du känner dig så benägen att göra tvätt).

På andra våningen finns fyra ytterligare vackra sovrum, varav den ena är uppbyggd med en queen size-säng och en drottning bäddsoffa och badrum (badkar / dusch), en har en queen size-säng med ett stort badkar (dusch, dubbelsäng diskbänk), ett med två enkelsängar (perfekt för barn och tonåringar) och ett fjärde sovrum med queen size-säng, privat badrum, inbyggd skrivbord och lådor kan också fungera som kontor. Alla badrum på andra våningen har riktiga Danby marmorfat.

A Serene Retreat at the Dorset Pond House

Nestled atop a picturesque hill with enchanting pond views, The Dorset Pond House offers a quintessential Vermont experience that promises tranquility, nature immersion, and unparalleled comfort. Recently, my family and I had the pleasure of staying at this idyllic retreat, and it truly was a trip of a lifetime. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the natural beauty that surrounded us. The house itself was a haven of serenity, impeccably clean and thoughtfully organized to provide us with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The interior exuded a cozy charm that made us feel right at home, while the expansive windows allowed us to bask in the beauty of the outdoors. One of the highlights of our stay was the warm hospitality of our host, Daniella. Her attention to detail and genuine care for her guests shone through in every interaction. From offering valuable advice on local activities to promptly addressing any questions we had, Daniella went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was nothing short of perfect. The proximity of the house to Manchester town, a mere 10 minutes away, added to the convenience of our stay. This quaint and peaceful town provided a lovely backdrop for leisurely strolls and exploring local shops and eateries, making it an ideal spot for a day trip or casual outing. Hidden Treasure!!!!!

Awesome home and property, very clean, well maintained, and just what we were looking for to relax, decompress and enjoy the true beauty of Vermont. The owners, Daniela and Scott, were very hands-on, even though they were on vacation halfway around the world at the time of our stay. They stayed in touch with us via text and phone and provided their local caretakers info in case we needed them. I feel that they went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable as well as safe (bad storm in Vermont). I would put Daniela and Scott at the very top of our list of premier hosts!!! Also, we have been renting vacation homes in Vermont over the course of our 53+ years of marriage, and this home is at the top of our list of wonderful rental homes in Vermont!!! We hope to return soon!!! Thank you again, Daniela and Scott, for helping to make our stay so memorable!!!

Beautiful getaway home

This gorgeous home exceeded our expectations! Our stay included myself, my husband, our two boys ages 2 and 4, and my parents. My parents easily settled into the beautiful first floor suite with a view of the pond. We had our pick of spacious en-suite bedrooms upstairs. We got a light snow and were able to sled and fish. Memories were made for sure. Thank you Daniella and Scott!

Perfect Stay

This was our infant daughter's first vacation. Our day trips were short and scheduled around her naps, but the house and property were so nice it did not matter! It was so nice just looking out at the pond and green mountains from the front porch. Highly recommend!

Perfect vacation!

We had the perfect week at Daniela’s house. Daniela was the most gracious host. She reached out to us before our arrival and made us feel most welcome. Her home is gorgeous, comfortably and beautifully furnished, and in an idyllic setting. The home was so well appointed and had everything you would need to spend time away from home. The linens and towels were high end and the kitchen contained all kinds of pots and pans in which to prepare meals. We were three generations staying at the house, and there was ample space for everyone. The little ones loved playing in the front yard. The family enjoyed kayaking in the pond, and we all found plenty to do in the area. There are so many wonderful places to explore, farmers markets galore, scenic hiking, and great restaurants nearby. A highlight was making a fire in the fire pit one evening, roasting s’mores, and gazing at the stars. We can’t wait to return! Thank you again, Daniela!

Perfect home to introduce our family to Vermont

We loved this house and property. Our host went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful time in their beautiful state of Vermont. The beds, linens and kitchen are very nice, just like we have in our own home. We cooked almost every meal for our family of 10 in their well equipped kitchen. We could have stayed right on property the entire time fishing, swimming and hiking on trails to a beautiful little stream. We even saw a bear! Everyone said this house will make our revisit list. A spectacular peaceful spot

The home is spacious with high ceilings and excellent light throughout. All the rooms are thoughtfully appointed, including a phenomenal kitchen where we spent almost all our time. Everyone kept remarking over the weekend how nice a place it was. And had the weather cooperated I’m sure we would have gotten good fun out of the pond. The hosts are extremely pleasant and helpful, and even left us a lovely local surprise in the fridge. All in all a delightful experience.

Beautiful setting in East Dorset, Vermont

The house is large, well equipped and located within minutes of Manchester and Dorset. The owners are very accommodating and respond quickly to any requests. It is located in a beautiful spot overlooking a pond. The house was spotless, The hostess, Danielle, even brought us a welcome gift of a pie. Delicious! We would recommend it without hesitation.

Another great stay!

This was our second time renting Daniela and Scott’s place. We enjoyed it every bit as much as we did last year. We’re a group of 9 adults with plenty of room for everyone. We gather every year and have rented a number of different places. This place met everyone expectations hands down! A beautiful home, in a picturesque and quiet location, yet close to downtown Manchester VT with great stores and easy drives to many good walking trails and hikes. Highly recommend a stay. You will enjoy.

Wonderful vacation stay!

We were absolutely delighted with our stay at the pond house. Daniella and Scott were so kind and gracious and made sure that we were comfortable and happy the whole time. The house is absolutely beautiful and includes so many lovely amenities. It was clean as could be and stocked with the most comfortable linens and towels and kitchen. Can’t say enough about how happy we were with our stay. Our favorite things were sitting on the porch watching the sun come up and go down and our lovely outdoor dinners on the back picnic table. An added wonderful surprise was seeing two baby Fawns sneak out of the woods onto our front lawn ! Our whole family enjoyed this stay immensely!

Another Amazing Fall Getaway!

Our second time renting this house for a weekend in October. Cannot say enough about this beautiful house, property, and location. The fire pit overlooking the pond and mountains is our favorite along with relaxing on the covered porch. A perfect house for couples and families. It is comfortable, clean, and stocked with everything you can think of . It couldn’t have been a more perfect stay for us to make amazing memories in beautiful Vermont. We will be renting again next year! :)

Another great stay at the pond house!

This was our second time staying at this property and it was even better than we remembered! The house is configured perfectly for a large group or multiple couples/families. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit enjoying the views and hanging out in the kitchen cooking together. We will surely try to make a trip to the pond house an annual event for our family.

Amazing Stay!

Daniela and Scott were amazing hosts. The house was absolutely perfect for our group of couples. We had 5 couples staying for a local wedding and we all had plenty of space to get ready. We were allowed an early check in and the hosts were very responsive. The house was impeccably clean and beautiful. Exactly what we needed.

Annual Family Gathering

My family has been getting together annually for a number of years now and this was one of our favorite rentals. The home is beautiful and more spacious than the pictures show. It is a beautiful property offering privacy yet close to everything. Many opportunities for hiking in this part of Vermont. We were a party of nine with plenty of entertainment space and some of the largest bedrooms we’ve come across, all beautifully decorated. Home has most everything you could want. We look forward to going back for our next gathering. Communication with Daniela and Scott was easy with immediate response for any questions you may have. Had the opportunity to meet our caretaker Mario who lives just around the corner and there for anything you may need. Highly recommend Daniela and Scott’s wonderful home!

Wonderful Stay For All!!

Our extended family group of 10 which included our four grandchildren (ages 3 to 7), two sons and daughter-in-laws, as well as us (the grandparents!) all had a wonderful vacation at this lovely, spacious home. The house itself accommodated our group perfectly with it's large rooms for gathering, as well as 5 large bedrooms and 41/2 bathrooms. The property is beautiful and we enjoyed sitting on the front porch overlooking the pond, playing games on the lawn, barbeques every night, swimming, canoeing and kayaking in the pond! The location of the house is wonderful and we spent several days at nearby parks swimming, picnicking and sight-seeing. The surrounding towns were filled with wonderful galleries and an incredible bookstore which shouldn't be missed (especially the third floor which is entirely devoted to children's books). I can't thank Daniela enough for all her help and suggestions as well as accommodating all our requests (and more!). We hope to return! A very special getaway! t

Magical stay!

My fiancé (now-husband!) and I decided to get married in a small private ceremony with family. We decided on renting a home to have our vacation and wedding. We wanted to find a property that was beautiful, comfortable for everyone, and would be nearby great activities while we were there. The Pond House delivered that and so much more! Daniela and Scott were wonderfully warm hosts who made sure every aspect of our stay, including our ceremony was perfect. The home itself was immaculate with charming architectural details and fully outfitted with anything you might need. The land and views were stunning and our wedding photographer remarked that it was one of the most beautiful locations she had the pleasure to shoot. The best VRBO ever

We have rented 3 VRBOs in Vermont in the past year. All have been lovely but the pond house is in another category. It’s not just the beauty and spaciousness of the house or it’s location. The owners have thought of everything. You know how you Always have to figure out how to turn something on or where something is located? Not here. Everything was turnkey or had very specific instructions. Daniela thought of everything. And she was very receptive if we had any question, even putting together some of her own botanicals anti itch cream when I mentioned I Came there with a wasp Sting that was driving me crazy. Daniela and Scott är värd

Scott grew up in Dorset and Daniela is originally from Germany. We have three children and have lived in some of the most beautiful corners of this world, including in Hawaii, Washington State and Germany. After nearly 25 years of living 'elsewhere' we decided to move back to Scott's home State, Vermont. We love the distinct four seasons (ask us about the other two seasons), each one with its own charm: skiing, strawberry-blueberry-apple picking, river rafting, leaf peeping, pumpkin carving, bicycling, hiking, walking, jogging, swimming, theater performances at the famous Dorset and Weston Theaters- all within easy reach and never any traffic jams!

We LOVE the gorgeous setting of this house. It is perfectly situated on five serene and private acres, overlooking Deming Pond. A combination of a tranquil setting with beautiful views throughout, completely renovated, with tasteful furnishings and modern conveniences.

This home is not a primary residence but rather a real vacation home, lovingly operated by us. From the moment you arrive you will feel in relaxed vacation mode. Sit on the front porch and enjoy the view of the pond or gaze at the stars.
