The A magical family gathering spot—

Already planning our return!This house was everything we needed and more. We brought family together from all over the country, and it was the perfect place to relax, reconnect, and spend quality time.The location was ideal—close to the beach, town, and walking trails. Some of us jogged to Nubble Light, others took easy strolls along the harbor. Cold ocean dips became a daily ritual! The house itself is super spacious and well set up. The big kitchen had everything we needed to cook for our crew of 11, and when we didn’t feel like cooking, Foster’s was right down the road. The sun porch quickly became everyone’s favorite spot—perfect for coffee in the morning, reading in the afternoon, and cocktails at night with that amazing view.We’ve already decided we’re coming back next summer. Highly recommend this place for any big family trip or gathering!

Family Vacation

We are a family of 14 with ages ranging from 18 months to 75 years old.The house was perfect for our family. The large dining table was able to fit everyone around and the views of the harbor were perfect.Close proximity to the beach was great for the children 6 through 14 and adults.The rooms were good and all had air conditioning units. We completed 3 of the jigsaws that were there.The large kitchen had plenty of dishware , glasses , utensils etc.We appreciated the wagon and beach toys and chairs that were available for our stay.We all had a great time and look forward to visiting Maine again in the future.

Great York Beach house!

We have rented big beach houses before for a yearly family vacation and this house is hands down the best we have rented. Positives: views (both ocean and harbor), AC in all the rooms if needed, well stocked kitchen, quiet.

Family Beach Vacation

Every member of our party enjoyed this house! It’s very well laid out, beautifully furnished, well maintained and clean. The location was ideal, close to the beach and a lovely walking trail. Great views from every room. Couldn’t ask for more!

Family Stay

My family had a wonderful time. We have 4 families with 5 children, and the home was big enough for all to have separate bedrooms and gathering areas. I highly recommend staying here. In addition, Nathan the host was extremely friendly and responsive.

Magical place!

We hosted a 90th birthday party with family and this house couldn’t have been more perfect. Great location. Gorgeous views. House is comfortable, clean and well appointed. It easily accommodates a big group. Highly recommend.

The perfect home, location and amenities for our annual (extended) family vacation

This was perfect for our large and growing family (17 of us!!) Everyone had space and comfort - yet we also had plenty of places to gather and hang out. The picturesque view and setting are incredible. And the proximity to the beach makes a beach day so simple and enjoyable. Nathan is a wonderful host. He’s communicative, responsive and kind. We’ve already reserved next year!

Multi generational family vacation

Our group of 17 found the property very welcoming with plenty of room to find a quiet space when needed. The kitchen facility was spacious for the multiple cooks and helpers. The children ages 5 to 10 loved the place and want to return. The location was confident to the beach and walking distance to the town. One suggestion would be to update the outside grill.

Family vacation

17 of us ages 73 to 3. We had enough bedrooms and baths to go around. The kitchen was huge. We were walking distance to the beach. Our manager was always available to answer our questions. I highly recommend.

Great house/Perfect location

This property ticked all the boxes for our extended family vacation: more than enough space for a large group to have both privacy and togetherness, beautiful views, easy access to a great beach for small children, kitchen large enough to accommodate multiple cooks, excellent laundry facilities. Host provided a very detailed house manual that was a significant help to vacation planning.

Beautiful house on the water with plenty of space for everyone.

Chris was great in responding to all our questions. Everything was clean and tidy. We wish the kitchen was a little larger but it was very acceptable. The walks along the trails made the location ideal. Would highly recommend this house for any family gathering or reunion.

Perfect for our family vacation

This is a beautiful home and property. We stayed with our whole family and had an incredible week. Beautiful decor inside and out. Plenty of space for all the adults and children. Bathrooms everywhere but the first floor. We were pleasantly surprised with how many people could shower at once and still have hot water and great water pressure. The house has a beautiful master suite with a hot tub and a laundry room. All rooms has gorgeous views. We enjoyed our nights on the porch and the pier. Walking distance to a small semi private beach and a short drive to downtown York. There was a problem with the cable at one point which the owner addressed quickly. Didn’t affect our trip because we weren’t there to watch TV. Grandpa missed the Patriots pre season opener but he’ll get over it :-). Overall an amazing rental and perfect spot. Looking forward to returning again.

We are coming back again & again!

We had a fantastic time staying at this beautiful home. The owner was so accommodating with my specific requests. I appreciated his quick follow up on any text I sent! This was my wedding week, and even used the house for gorgeous getting ready photos inside and first look pictures out on the lawn. So happy with how they turned out. Everything is described so accurately in the listing. Did I mention there are 3 coffee makers? We had 2 working full-time each morning! My brother in law took full advantage of the chef's kitchen and cooked up many meals for the whole family. So glad there were 3 fridges for all the food he bought! One of the main reasons I chose this home was for the main floor bedroom and bathroom for my Dad as his balance isn't the best and didn't want him navigating steep stairs. The bathroom on the main floor left us wishing the old style tiny walk in tub/shower combo had been replaced with a new shower with no tub. Every other shower in the house was great.

Awesome Location

This house was great for our large family ages range from 2 years old to 70. The house was very comfortable and spacious it was an Inn so each room had its own bath and most rooms were very roomy. The kitchen was well equipped to the point of needing organization and probably removing some items but rather have more than too little. The beds were comfortable and the a/c worked but window units were noisy. The linens including pillows can use some updating. The photos of house are accurate. It’s a step back in time regarding decorating and some fixtures. The house was very clean so that takes precedence over decor in my opinion. The house was very well equipped with towels for beach and bath toiletries blankets beach chairs and a beach wagon. Location was so fantastic we were able to walk to beach and local restaurant. We fished off the wonderful dock! All appliances worked great we made lobster and barbecued. I highly recommend this house if you don’t mind that the furniture-decorating and bath/kitchen needs updating. We will go back if we can gather our crew together again.

Completlely lovely but not very private

This is a beautiful property in a stunning location. Lovely and generous owners. Breathtaking views, convenient location, very comfortable accommodations. We had a wonderful stay but were a little surprised with how public and shared the property is. There is a "Harborside" sign on the exterior of the home that gives the impression it is open to the public so we had many unexpected visitors - more than one who walked right into the home. An easy fix would be removal of the signage. Also the dock leads to a marina with associated shared parking and foot traffic. The marina docked a 100' sailboat which promoted sailimg excursions to the public leading to even more foot traffic. There is a public walkway that borders the back yard which also gets quite a bit of foot traffic. Lastly the home is closed off in part and houses an owner-occupied office and residence so you are essentially sharing the home with separate entrances. None of this was a problem, and we had a great time, but just not what we expected and definitely not what I would call private, so if that is what you are looking for, it's worth noting. Otherwise all high grades.

A Perfect Family Vacation.

This was the perfect house for my husband and I to celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary with our children and grandchildren.We found it to be clean and roomy with spectacular views of York Harbor.There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our group of 14 adults. The beds were comfortable and the water in the showers was hot.The main kitchen was so large it took us a couple of days to remember where dishes, pots and pans, silverware, utensils, etc. were.The 3 refrigerators offered ample storage space for our perishables and the huge laundry room was fully equipped with not only a washer and dryer, but several large clothes racks, an ironing board and an iron.There were plenty of rooms downstairs to spread out to do puzzles, play games, read and just sit around.There was a bedroom down stairs that opened onto the porch.This was perfect for a family member who has trouble with mobility.Outside there is a porch, a large lawn, a pier and York Harbor Beach. The neighborhood is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of Long Sands and Short Sands. There were a few negatives.We had a problem finding a sharp knife to pare vegetables and the cupboard and closet doors tended to stick. The bureau in my room was missing nobs, which prevented me from opening most of the draws and the plug in my sink was broken.However, all the positives outweighed every single negative. Nathan, the property manager, was very responsive.He answered all the questions I texted him immediately.

Great location, interesting house, tiny kitchen

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The owners responded quickly to any questions and the house itself was interesting - bathrooms and bedrooms were a great size and everything was clean, impressive especially since this is an older house. The location is awesome, with just a very short (2 minute) walk to the beach. The beach itself was great though there isn't a ton of space at high tide. However, it was much warmer than we expected and the waves were perfect for the kids (ages 9 months-6 years) and adults. A few things about the house: - the kitchen is tiny. We saw this in the reviews but didn't realize just how tiny it was. There is almost no counter space and very little cabinet space. We had to clear off a bookshelf next to the kitchen to store food. The fridge also isn't very big. We were 10 people (6 adults and 4 children) and we had to be careful about how much food we had. We also knew the kitchen wasn't going to be huge so we just planned a few simple meals (grilling, etc.) but even for that, the kitchen was very tight. - there is very little in terms of utensils in the kitchen and no condiments or spices. We did get a note saying to bring our favorite condiments but we rent houses a few times a year and have never stayed in one where there was literally nothing, not even sugar or some leftover spices from past guests. - there is no bathroom on the first floor. This is not so much an issue for most adults but with little kids, it's something to keep in mind. - the house was the right size for us but it would be difficult to fit in more than another 2 adults (or potentially a few more children). There is no good common space besides in the kitchen, though that space is amazing with the breeze and the views. However, you can only comfortably fit about 12 people in there, maybe a few more for socializing but definitely not more than that for a shared meal. There is technically a room on the first floor that is a sitting room but it is very dark and just not pleasant to spend time in. Also note that the TV is on top of the fridge in the kitchen - the angle is fine for watching but it's just a little high up.

25th Family Vacation

We had a blast on vacation this year! The house itself was wonderful. Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, and places to hang out. The views were fantastic and there was so much to do, as the house was in a great location! It was very clean, and having basic toiletries provided was quite nice. Nathan was very helpful with questions and concerns. Unfortunately, we had to wash a lot of dishes by hand since the dishwasher broke the first night we were there, but we survived. :) Thank goodness there was a second one, but that was a bit of a pain. The only thing we wished was different was the configuration/size of the deck. It was a bit small for all to gather on. Again, we survived and had a great time! :) I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

Maine Family Vacation

Our family had a great time. Our (adult) children and their children loved the house and the location. As the property description states... we were approx. 500' from York Harbor beach and it was so convenient for visiting/ using multiple times of the day. The house is older, with a lot of charm and our daughter in law (a great baker/cook) thought the kitchen was as well stocked as her own kitchen. Great spaces in the house for multiple activities. We had a great time and will definitely consider a return visit.
