We’re not upset with this feedback, as it appears to rate the property primarily based on external factors rather than the actual condition of the home, which the guest acknowledged was very clean and welcoming. Regarding the marijuana smell, unfortunately, this is beyond our control. Outdoor odors can come from neighboring properties, shopping parking lots, or even passing vehicles. As hosts, we cannot control the surrounding public environment. Communication is essential when concerns arise. The guest never contacted us during the booking or upon arrival to discuss these issues. Had they reached out, we would have gladly tried to find a solution. Regarding the back door, as explained in our private messages, the backyard is fully enclosed by a solid wooden privacy fence with a gate that remains locked, providing an additional layer of privacy and security. We have owned this property for several years without experiencing any safety incidents or concerns. We are also located just a few minutes from the Greenville Police Department and security cameras are installed for a peace of mind. We respect everyone's right to share their experience, but we also believe it's important to distinguish between what hosts can control and what is beyond their control. We wish this guest the very best in their future travels.

Regarding the surrounding neighborhood, we understand that it may not have looked the way you expected. The appearance of the surrounding neighborhood are unfortunately outside of our control, and we take the location into consideration when setting our pricing. That said, the property is in a safe location. We are only a few minutes from the Greenville Police Department, Sheriff’s office and there are security cameras on/around other units in the community. As for Clemson, the approximately 40-minute drive is the typical travel distance from downtown Greenville to Clemson, and one of the advantages of staying in Greenville is that you have the opportunity to enjoy both Greenville and Clemson during your visit. We also eached out to you multiple times during your stay to check in and make sure everything was going well, but unfortunately we did not receive a response. We genuinely want our guests to have a comfortable stay, and if we had known that you were uncomfortable with the surroundings or had any other concerns, we'd have welcomed the opportunity to discuss them and see how we can help. Unfortunately, we can’t address an issue if we are unaware of it. Sorry that your experience has not been what you expected, we wish the best in your future travels.
