Relaxing Weekend Getaway

This cabin was cozy, quaint, and the location was terrific. The cabin was clean, the wrap-around deck was awesome, the firepit is in a good location, and the hot tub was our favorite amenity. The queen bed up on the loft is situated just right to see out of the floor to ceiling windows on the far wall. Overall, we will consider this cabin for our next mountain getaway trip.

A little slice of Heaven tucked in the mountainside

9/10 would stay here again. The location was close enough, yet also made it seem like you were in the midst of serenity. The only reason for the 9/10 is the hair pin turns on the treacherous mountain roads to get there. I’m thankful we had a 4 wheel drive truck! The hot tub on the deck was the perfect spot to watch the sun set in the evenings. The campfires each night were perfect for listening to the wildlife.

Cozy Cabin up in the mountains

Well appointed clean and comfortable cabin. Hot Tub at night in the snow after a day of hiking was fantastic and the snow was a nice bonus on the Wife’s birthday. Close to Bryson, Cherokee, hiking trails and waterfall viewing.Yes, the road up to the cabin is steep in places but not too difficult after you drive it a time or two. We came in our first time at night - I don’t recommend that. Google Maps brought us straight to the driveway, but make sure you have written instructions just in case. Notes: Things to bringBring your own coffee. A robe or beach towel if you’re planning on using the hot tub. A sense of adventure.Things to See.Hike Deep Creek and Juney Wank Falls nearby in Bryson.Walk around BrysonDon’t miss Mingo Falls in Cherokee. Short steep hike but a must see. Drive US 129 Tail of the DragonStop by a creek and get in the water. If we can do it in March you can certainly do it in the Spring and Summer months. Places to eat:Everett’s Diner in Bryson - get the biscuits and gravy. Find a food truck in Bryson and eat your meal at Mountain Layers brewing CO on the rooftop deck while enjoying a craft beer.Drive to Cherokee and eat at Gordon Ramsey’s Truffles Pub. It did not disappoint. Just relax at the cabin and grill something. Definitely recommend this cabin for couples or small groups

Great getaway!

A fantastic trip away! Full of everything I needed for cooking, comfortable beds and bathrooms, and a gorgeous view- not to mention the wonderful hot tub! Great stay!

Perfect!

This place had an amazing view which we enjoyed every morning and evening. This place was easy to get to the Smokies and Bryson. We were surprised by a newly built deck and Blackstone grill! The hot tub was great to use after a day of hiking and really we spent more time at our cabin than we thought we would since it was so nice!

Perfect house for a weekend getaway. Very clean and a great view. The only downside is trying to turn around to get out of the driveway.

Peaceful get a way

Great location. Cabin is perfect for couple or group of 4. Clean and has everything you will need! View is gorgeous from upstairs bedroom! Cabin is very secluded and quiet but you do not feel isolated. Will definitely be back!

Great cabin

We stay frequently in Vrbos in the area. This was one of our favorites. It might be difficult to access in winter if there is snow bc the road is so steep. It was otherwise terrific.

Perfect getaway!

The view was gorgous! The cabin was perfect! Hot tub nice and hot! Everything was awesome! My only issue was the I couldn't get the indoor fireplace to cooperate.

Our stay

Was an ok stay we had a tornado blow threw the rain was so bad the big window on front leaked the direct TV didn't work half of the time and the Roku had most of the channels block we had to soak up water with our towels cause there were no mops the grill was awesome and the hot tub was great the road is very narrow and curvy not a big parking space recommend driving in the day light road was hard to drive on after dark

Nice and comfortable

We had a great time. The house Was clean and comfortable but lacking in the maintenance department. We had a hard time with the tv wanting to Reboot and it was pretty steep to walk or hike. Thank you though we enjoyed ourselves!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The stay at Fox Ridge was amazing, from the views to the hot tub/firepit to the cabin itself everything was awesome! Clean and the small Christmas tree by the fireplace was a nice touch. fairly easy to get to just a steep winding road once you got to the neighborhood but expected when your in the mountains. I appreciate Yellow Rose and their hospitality calling a day early to see how our stay was going and if everything was going well. 5/5 overall service!

Cozy loft and fireplace

This cabin is awesome in the winter. The fireplace quickly warms up the cozy loft where the king size bed is. The bathroom tile in that upstairs bathroom is heated also! We hiked a trail on the property. Hot tub was huge with awesome jets and blue lights at night. The furniture is different than the listing pics. It’s cloth furniture. Kitchen well equipped. Could use new skillets. Tons of coffee filters in the cabinet for the coffee pot, no need to buy any like we did! We saw deer one morning. Heard coyotes which got the dogs on the mountain barking while sitting by the firepit. We loved that. Peaceful mornings with a view and birds singing. Even tho we could see other cabins because no leaves on the trees at wintertime, it felt private. We enjoyed it very much. Thank you.

Great cabin - awful road

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice, current, fairly clean. Steep, gravel road was very difficult with trailer and motorcycle. Because of that I would not stay here again. Great view of the mountains to the west. Nice patio. Nicely stocked kitchen.Annoyances. King bed upstairs in loft and not in bedroom downstairs. No lighting sufficient to read in the evenings except at the kitchen table. 3 light bulbs burned out. Smoke detectors disconnected and sitting in a drawer.

First stay at Fox Ridge

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were a bit disappointed in the stay. we were expecting to enjoy the hot tub amenity but upon arrival I discovered it was not operational.I understand that problems occur unexpectedly but it was obvious this problem was not recent. I feel like I should have been informed about this issue but wasn't. The overall condition was fair but needs some up keep. The baseboards were dirty and the bifold doors came off their tracks with one opening. The outside garbage can was 3/4 full of old garbage. There was a large sinkhole forming in the firepit area and was a bit hazardous to walk by. We normally stay in a cabin identical to this one a short distance up the road from this one and the condition of it is far superior to this one and less expensive that this one. I attributed the cost differential to the hot tub which the other one doesn't have but we were unable to enjoy the one we were supposed to have available.

Great cabin, not so great service.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My new husband and I stayed here for a week for our honeymoon. My problems were with the company, Yellow Rose. We arrived on Saturday after driving 10 1⁄2 hours to an empty and broken hot tub along with a broken fireplace. I called the emergency number and was told it was broken and would be fixed asap. I called Monday and guess what?! Could not be fixed and no cabins were available to switch to. We were heartbroken, we canceled our big wedding due to Covid and saved up our money for the honeymoon. We worked through the entire pandemic as essential workers and we were looking forward to the hot tub the most out of everything. We spoke to the property manager Dena and she had refunded my money on the card without speaking to me and it was going to take 5-7 days to go back on my card. I just got married and changed my last name, that card was about to be shut off for my new one. I expressed to her I was extremely upset and heartbroken, we had booked the cabin in April (I have an email confirming it) and she argued saying I booked it in August. She also told me I was being “aggressive” and “harsh” because I was upset about our honeymoon not having the main thing I wanted. I never yelled or said anything mean, I was just upset, and I talk loudly. I work in customer service and speak to upset people daily, if I told my flustered customers that I would be fired. She refunded us money and paid for a couples massage that we greatly appreciated, but the lack of communication and the service we got wasn’t ideal. If I just got a phone call on Friday or Saturday telling us they were broken I would have understood, I know things happen. We worked so hard for this honeymoon and I’m still upset about not having the main thing I wanted. I still wanted a week of soaking in the hot tub with my new husband and relaxing our tired self’s from working so much this past year and having so many disappointments and frust
