The location was beautiful,however the place was so dirty. Plates had food on them. When I opened a drawer next to the bed my toddler was sleeping there were random pills in the drawer. For the price you pay the cosmetic damage is excessive. Pretty much everything was damaged in some way. There were toren screens a damage tv and huge dustballs. Tho this is such a beautiful location and my family had so much fun there is more to be desired for the price you pay. If things were to change with the cleanliness and cosmetic damage we would 100% stay in this place again

great location - Clayton has always been one of my favorite streets. Walk to everything in Dewey/Rehoboth - so close to the beach, you can sit on the deck and see and hear the waves! Very comfortable unit!

Cabinets and drawers were dirty greasy bull.In the cabinet, a greasy potholder that would have been good enough to light a fire. Dirty kitchen towels. Bathroom sink upstairs clogged, with a giant eighteen inch hair wad. My husband had to remove it otherwise the sink would not drain. The downstairs tub and sinks on the first floor filled up and the kitchen sink was clogged and refused to drain.Plumber replaced garbage disposal, which did not work.No electricity to it. Trash can was provided, did not fit the normal 13 gallon kitchen trash bags.. various nicks and dings on the walls closet door to washer/dryer leftdoor off hinge. Toilet paper holder in midfloor bathroom off the wall. No broom, no dust pan, no mop, which would have aided in keeping it clean.They did provide a vacuum cleaner, which, when used generally, just pushes the sand and dirt around

The location is excellent. Just steps to the beach. Property was very clean. Kitchen has all you would need for a pleasant stay. Early morning coffee on the deck was wonderful.

Great stay and easy communication

Our group had a great week at the property. It was clean and as appeared in the pictures. Excellent location and layout. Very easy communication beforehand with the owner/property manager who was very helpful and accommodating with our group. Would definitely recommend!

Nice vacation

This was our first time staying in Dewey. Place was great, much more spacious than I imagined. very close to the beach. Parking is not too good for a family of SUV drivers but paying for on street parking is easy.

Great Location & Set Up For Adult Family

The property is located really close to the beach and in a fantastic location in Dewey (near restaurants, bars, trolley to Rehoboth). The house is very well set up for a larger family (# of bathrooms and bedrooms and locations). Well organized for everyone to have their own space. Overall great stay and would stay here again.

Great location in dog friendly town

Karen was so wonderful and immediately available for any questions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the close proximity to the beach. Dewey is so dog friendly. It was really nice to arrive to paper products, hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent so we didn’t have to go to a store on our first day.

Great Beach House - so close to everything!

We loved our stay at this beach house. Plenty of room for 10 of us and a dog. So close to the beach and breakfast and mini golf. Walking distance to restaurants and shops and ice cream. The beach house is very roomy, clean and has everything you need. The decks on each level are so nice. We loved eating outside. Nice to have the beach chairs there at the house. We will definitely be back!

Family beach vacation

The Townhouse was perfectly situated in Dewey - steps away from the ocean and all the shops and restaurants in town. Our family loved the layout of the townhouse and felt like we had ample space - with two bedrooms and a bath on the lower level, great room on the second floor and two more bedrooms and bath on the third floor. I understand turnovers are quick in the summer months, but the floors need a good scrubbing. Karen, the owner, was communicative throughout the booking process and responsive to a minor repair. We hope to book another trip next year!

Upon arrival the house was filthy. Everything from dirt,dust, hair on the floors to vomit and drink splashes all over the walls, broken furniture, towel racks, and toilet paper holders. The step nosing was coming apart on multiple stairs. Light bulbs out everywhere.The pictures on VRBO are misleading. The furniture is completely different in the living room, bar stool seats are all falling apart, outdoor grill dirty and rusted, also the outdoor dining table. Upon making a bed the headboard fell apart. It was rigged and after cleaning under the bed the hardware found was mismatched to the hardware needed. This house has the potential to be great however is mismanaged with cleaning and proper maintenance. The property manager was contacted during the two hours that I cleaned upon arrival. He did offer to send a cleaning crew however, my family was arriving from the airport at the time that offer was made. The next day I tried reaching the property manager and ended up calling Vrbo for assistance in reaching the property manager/owner. We were saved by having a week of gorgeous weather. The close proximity to the beach is perfect. The beach chairs (with the exception of one being ripped) and boogie boards were all good. My hope is that the owner will read this and make the proper maintenance and repair. Like I said it has the potential to be a great vacation stay.

Perfect!

This place was perfect for what I was looking for. Upon arrival our AC was broken, our host was prompt with responding and sent a maintenance man out to us. Karen was very prompt to us and is a great host! The only concern throughout our trip was the floors in the house. Upon arrival, the floors were covered in glass and left your feet pitch black after walking on them.

Great Location…but desperately needs a deep cleaning

This home has a fabulous location for beach access and also for easy walking to restaurants. Very disappointed in the cleanliness of the home. I must have missed the review given recently about the dirty floors and glass. The floors throughout were filthy. I swept glass & sand when I arrived and spent hours trying to wash the floors and stairs before the rest of family arrived. There was broken glass at front door and sidewalk and on moldy door mat. The entire home needs to be painted & cleaned. The beds had sand under the mattress protector!?? The deck needs to be power washed and railing painted. It’s been neglected. I never write reviews but I feel the owner needs to know because this home could be stunning.

Great Location, not very clean!

The house is lovely and being so near the beach was a delight! The layout was good for families and the outside patio’s were nice to have. The property really supplied nothing you need at a house. Like, nothing. We had to buy so much stuff that we weren’t expecting. The neighbors were rude about having a dog that we needed to walk. The house was not cleaned well when we checked in! The floors turned our feet black almost immediately. We also found someone else’s garbage around the house, and my four year old niece picked up a previous guest’s THONG off the floor! Nasty. The manager was responsive and sent the cleaning crew back while we were there but they were very rude about having to come back. But after they mopped, the floors were better. They obviously didn’t clean the floors in between guests. Overall the location was the best part of the house. The cleanliness issue really needs to be taken care of. And for the price, I would’ve expected at least some basic amenities.

Unfortunately we will not be returning to this property again and will stay elsewhere for future trips to Dewey. We would warn others against this property as well despite how things appear in the listing. The host of the property changed a few weeks before our trip with zero heads up or communication. Response time from the new host significantly declined (before, during and after our stay). Upon arrival the house was in need of a serious cleaning. The bare minimum had clearly been done and we found ourselves down at Walmart buying cleaning supplies pretty quickly. Shower curtains were extremely moldy, little ants were all over even in the kitchen drawers, furniture and tabletops were sticky, our feet turned black walking on the floors, smoke detectors were falling off the walls, toilet seats were cracked, shoe prints and dead bugs on the walls, a very rusted outdoor dining table that was not usable along with a grill that was not usable, the outdoor shower only produced boiling water and was not usable. Needless to say we were very disappointed. As hosts ourselves, we reached out to the host to make him aware of the state of the property and our efforts to make things more comfortable for our stay. It took quite some time to get a response and the bare minimum was offered back to us several days and a couple follow ups after our trip. Our only positive was the close location to the beach and walkable to the town shops and restaurants.

This property was as advertised. The location was perfect, small town, not very crowded, and within walking distance to the Rehoboth boardwalk. The property was clean and spacious enough for our family. I'm glad we read the reviews on what extras we needed to bring. They were very helpful. Great vacation property.
