Hidden Treasure Ă€r en strandstuga i östil som ligger bland vackra gamla ekar. Huset ligger pĂ„ en ganska körfĂ€lt runt ett kvarter som har havet i ena Ă€nden och ljudet i den andra. Även om vi befinner oss pĂ„ ett inre parti, Ă€r det bara nĂ„gra steg (cirka 80 meter) till antingen den privata stranden eller till den lilla rampen som du har tillgĂ„ng till ljudet frĂ„n. Stugan sjĂ€lv totalrenoverades 2008 - interiören var tappad och hela utrymmet gjorde om. Den har en öppen planlösning för vardagsrum och kök, och alla omrĂ„den har utsikt över trĂ€den. En avskĂ€rmad veranda och ett bakre dĂ€ck kan nĂ„s frĂ„n huvudomrĂ„det. Ett dĂ€ck leder en sida av huset som leder frĂ„n den skĂ€rmad verandan till den tĂ€ckta verandan. Att sitta pĂ„ den avskĂ€rmade verandan Ă€r som att vara i ett trĂ€dhus - grenar bĂ„da graciöst runt omkring dig och ger en vĂ€g för ekorrar och fĂ„glar att binda frĂ„n varandra till en annan. Du kan höra havet de flesta dagar frĂ„n denna plats - det Ă€r avslappning som bĂ€st. Stugan Ă€r cirka 900 kvadratmeter men kĂ€nns större pĂ„ grund av den öppna planlösningen och takhöjden i vardagsrummet. Golven Ă€r plattade genom - vilket Ă€r lĂ€tt att rengöra. De tvĂ„ sovrummen ger sovplats för fyra - det ena har en dubbelsĂ€ng och det andra har en full storlek. Återigen Ă€r det svĂ„rt att beskriva hur underbart det kĂ€nns att vakna upp till ljudet frĂ„n fĂ„glar och havet och se trĂ€dgrenarna som omger dig. Helt avkopplande !! Hidden Treasure Ă€r perfekt för en familj tillflyktsort, ett par retrĂ€tt eller flickor vecka bort.

Wonderful cottage

We love this place! Cozy, comfortable, a relaxing respite from the busy world. Access to the ocean and the sound can’t be beat. Cottage is sparkling clean and has the most amazing screened porch up among the beautiful live oak tree branches.

The best location and very reasonable

This is a great place to stay, just off the beaten track and quiet yet yards from the beach. We had a couple of logistic issues but the owner took great care to resolve them immediately. What a great place to stay.

Peaceful and relaxing

This cottage is perfect. While spending time on the beach is my favorite thing to do, a close second is spending time on the lovely screened porch. The house is very clean, well-maintained and has everything needed for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic memories

I have never stayed at the beach under the trees before and it was perfect. The covered porch was fabulous to sit and enjoy an evening thunderstorm. Great beach shower. Kitchen had everything we needed - even a giant stock pot for making Frogmore stew.

Gorgeous Getaway

We loved this property that is nestled among lovely old oak trees. It is cozy and inviting and the house is fabulously well appointed with everything you will need for your stay. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces are well thought out. You are also just steps away from miles of gorgeous beach. Julie and her husband are great hosts and made us feel very welcome. We would be back in a heartbeat!

Can’t beat for the money

This was our first trip to Topsail. This home is located in a quiet area on a dead end street before you get to the center town area. Location to the beach was good but a little further than we thought. We thought access was directly at end of street but that’s a private access. When you reach the end of the street you make a right and walk a block down, cross a busy street to the public access where there are stairs to navigate. Something to keep in mind if you have a wagon full of stuff for a beach day. We never could find any access at the end of the street for the sound side. Looked like it was all private property. There was 1 key that went to back door only. Not a big deal but it would be more convenient having a key that opens the side door which is the main door to enter the home. Inside the layout was good and the house was comfortable and clean. We did notice a lot of carpenter ants outside and the deck is in need of some work. There is a heavy comforter on the queen bed. I like sleeping with more than a sheet but it was too heavy and I woke up hot at night. The beach area is wonderful. Loved that we were able to take our dog on the beach. Overall we did have a good stay and I would recommend to others.

Perfect get away!

This cozy cottage was the perfect place to come home to every night. Queen size bed was comfy for husband and I. Full size bed with bathroom was perfect for my two sons (10&12). The outdoor shower was perfect for rinsing off after spending time in the sun & sand and not tracking sand upstairs. Kitchen was well stocked and I could easily cook in dinners if we didn’t want to go back out. We were sure to bring some essentials so we didn’t need to buy them once there: laundry soap, dishwasher tabs, paper towels, a few rolls of TP- it was the perfect amount. The outdoor/screened in porch was so relaxing for coffee in the morning and a great mid-day nap
. Always a choir of cicadas to sing you to sleep! All in all- great, cozy, very clean, lovely. We would go back! We originally planned to bring our lab pup (1yr)but did not end up bringing her. Julie has a lot of pretty decor around that she prob would have knocked over with her wagging tail 😂 perfect for mature dogs!

Julie’s cottage is wonderful, nested in the oaks and in a perfect location. Her property feels like a home. It is clean and has all you need. The kitchen has quality cookware. Best treat is Scoops in Topsail Beach! Looking forward to next year.

Excellent stay

We had a wonderful time. The home is located in a great neighborhood. It is very secluded however is close to everything. We had a great time cycling, kayaking and relaxing.

Property is located about 1/2 block from beach. Although at this time (Mar) the access was blocked due to some project on the beach, Property was comfortable, well lived in, does allow pets - so to be expected. Was surprised by last minute notification that I would need to bring towels and linens - or add’l charge. Owner was available by text - no issues with communication.

My husband and i own and operate a cabinetry business in Hampstead, NC. We have been in business since 1979. We have two wonderful sons-- both are working with us now. As a family we have always loved the beach and the outdoors in general. My husband taught the boys to fish as soon as they could get in a boat and so we were always at the beach or on the sound as they were growing up. My husband loves fishing and I love the beach so when we found the cottage and bought it-- it became our project together. As a family we have put in many hours working on remodeling and fixing up what was an old and tired place. Now it is a place where we enjoy spending time with friends and family. We have celebrated many milestones at the beach-- everything from a fabulous 70's themed b-day party to a 60th birthday gathering for my husband this past summer. All are wonderful memories. There just is no truer form of relaxation than time spent at the beach. We cherish our time here and always look forward to coming back.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We came across our home on the island by chance but immediately fell in love with the location. The old live oak trees, quaint street and closeness to both the ocean and the sound made this a one of a kind get away home. The house itself needed work so after purchasing it we remodeled the entire interior and continue to improve the exterior as we can. This cottage has the most peaceful and beautiful setting, it truly gives you that 'tree house' feel. We begin to relax the moment we step out of the car.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The house is situated right in the midst of a maritime forest. It is close to both the ocean and the sound. The beach is just 80 yards away down the lane. You do cross over the street to get to the beach access but it is a private access. The unique thing about the beach access is that there are no houses on the beach front right at our beach. This makes it less crowded and really quite private to our street. There is also a ramp to the sound at the other end of the street. This ramp is just right for a jet ski or a kayak. Our area is also perfect for walking or biking as there are sidewalks and bike lanes.
