In the quiet Highland historic neighborhood across from a park and a short walk from the historic Hauberg Estate, Consider this house your home away from home while you visit Rock Island. With 3 bedrooms upstairs including one with a queen bed, one with 2 twin beds, and one with a bunk bed plus 2 twins, along with a full bathroom upstairs equipped with a hair dryer and shower, Additionally, there is a sitting room on the main floor with 2 convertible cots for extra guests. The kitchen, living and dining rooms are on the main floor, with a sunroom in the front, and a play area in the basement along with a laundry and bathroom/shower. There is off-street parking for up to 2 cars plus on-street parking for more. Our place will help you feel at home while you're in Rock Island.

It's a quaint older home that was clean and easy to find. John was easy to communicate with. Although we only needed to stay one night, we enjoyed our stay.

Creepy

It was creepy. Yes it's big and has room for many people. But it's like the people left the house so you could be there. There was shoes by the door. There's toothbrush and toothpaste by sink. There was open used bar of soap in bathtub. There was spilled brown sugar on the counter. The trash can had a pile of dirt in it, like they swept the floor put dustpan stuff in trash can and then left. They have what appeared to be family pictures and stuff like that on the walls and around the house. Not decor for just guests use. The furniture was very cheap, thin, and uncomfortable beds.my wife couldn't relax, she thought people would be walking into the house the way it's set up. Im glad we both have CCL and carry. Check in and communicate with host was good. But we left the next day, didn't even stay the whole weekend. I payed for a hotel on top of the vrbo to comfort the wife. Very uncomfortable setting there.

The stay was good and accommodated very great host aswell would stay again if i visit the quad cities was very close to my family houses and quick fast food.

I am a newly retired engineer, married with 2 kids in college. We are very engaged in community development, working with children and families in the Baha'i community. I also like to garden, and you are welcome to pick and use what is growing if available. I lived in Brazil, and speak Portuguese, Spanish and French, my wife is Taiwanese and speaks Mandarin and Taiwanese languages. We will try to have everything ready for you so you can enjoy your time and privacy but let us know if you need anything or have questions.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

The Highland Park neighborhood is centrally located in Rock Island, but very peaceful and quiet. Across the street is Reservoir Park which has sports fields, and a short walk on 24th street brings you to the historic Hauburg Estate which is open for events, including weddings, reunions, etc. It has an adjacent playground for kids, and has gardens and a forested walking trail on the hillside.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The house was built in 1920, with hardwood floors, it has lots of windows for natural light, a sunroom in front where kids could play while being observed from the living room, an extension in back that provides additional living or sleeping space. It also has a finished basement that can be a play area for kids, as well as laundry and a second bathroom there. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and a large bathroom with tub and shower. It has many of the original features including built in cabinets and French doors. It's a house with unique charm and character.
