Wonderful time in Hilo

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: From the ocean front views to the magical grounds to the close proximity to Hilo, this place is absolutely stunning. Plenty of space for our group of seven to spread out and relax or share meals and game time around the table. We unfortunately had to deal with hurricane Nola during our stay but the property manager called us to ensure we were safe and prepared to weather the storm. We absolutely loved every moment and were sad when it came time to leave. We definitely would stay here again without hesitation.

This place is absolutely beautiful!! We felt welcomed and enjoyed our stay. The grounds were fabulous and we enjoyed the fresh fruit from your trees. Your neighbor Peter was so kind and helpful and spoke so highly of you all. We would definitely rent your home again.PS I hope you and your family along with this fabulous property is spared from tropical storm Lala. We are watching from our home in Ohio and praying for all of you and your beautiful state.

Oceanfront Oasis

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our Michigan Hula group traveled to the Big Island for a 4 day Hula workshop. We stayed at Hale Kuikahi and were beyond impressed. The views of the ocean take your breath away and the gardens below were spectacular. To be able to see so many plants of heliconia, hibiscus ,orchids, red ginger, Tiare and so many more felt like we were in a botanical garden. What a gem. Inside the house had everything we could possibly need for our stay. The home had plenty of space for everyone and the beds were very comfortable.

Beautiful Oceanfront Hale

We were thrilled with the convenient location and picturesque setting for Hale Kuikahi. The spacious home had everything we needed and we were pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful welcome basket for our group. Mahalo for a lovely stay -we look forward to retuning to Hale Kuikahi again in the future.

It was wonderful to vacation in this beautiful home with dramatic,sweeping oceanfront on one side and a beautiful rain forest on the other. Our group was really looking for a get-away in the truest sense. So much peace and beauty here. Home was very clean, well-appointed and easy to get to from Hilo. We loved it and would return!

Thank you so much for sharing this amazing home!Our group of 3 couples thoroughly loved our time there. The deck was so relaxing. And the furniture is very comfortable. The A/C was in perfect working order. We felt very secure, as well. Everything was spotless in this large house, as well. The only things that could be improved upon: in the original description, I would have appreciated knowing that there was a king bedroom without a bathroom attached/next door...would have been more economical for the host also. Also, I feel like more bath linens should be available. 5 washcloths for 6 people is simply not enough...and it requires daily laundry with small loads, that would be better time spent out exploring the island.

Tranquil, Relaxing, Peaceful Vacation Experience.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a fantastic property that met all my expectation. If you are interested in uninterrupted relaxation, this is the property for you. The first thing to notice is how clean everything was upon arrival. All of the ocean facing windows were spot free when we arrived. This is very hard to achieve with a coastal property such as this. The sounds of the ocean will transport you day and night. I spent hours sitting on that deck hearing, feeling, and seeing the wonders of the Pacific Ocean beat against the cliff that this place is perched upon. I still hear and feel the ocean a few days after leaving. All up front correspondence was in order with directions and property instructions. Property access was easy and simple. The kitchen is state of the art and previous guests, along with our group have left a few thing that will make future guests life a little easier. The property did lack outdoor seating on the deck. There are two chairs for a home that accommodates 10-12 people. There were only four in my party and we donated four beach chairs and their cases and left them in the laundry room storage cabinets. There is also an outdoor grill. When i asked i was told there was not a grill on the property. Knowing would have changed some of my preliminary shopping at the Kona Costco. There was a local contact that checked in on the day we arrived via text. I know Hilo which gave me an advantage for places to visit and eat. Ken's House of Pancakes, is a must along with Cafe Pesto, Jackie Rey's, Hawaiian Style Cafe and Pineapples. Make sure to Visit the Big Island Candie Company to send those special treats back to your loved ones that couldn't make it. The Botanical Gardens and Akaka Falls are a short distance away and very beautiful. I would recommend this place to every one, and have! Mahalo!

Best in Hilo area, family of 4 had a blast!

Reviewer Comments: A completely honest review: we would definitely rent this place again and probably for even longer than this 4 day stay.The good: It easily has room for 10 adults. We were only 2 adults and 2 young kids. The location is just 10 minutes from town. Everything was clean and well stocked. The grounds were stunning to walk through with fruit trees and orchids and statues to enjoy. The deck over the cliff is exactly as cool as you think it is.The bad? Really not much! There are bugs, but very few, and it's the same everywhere in Hawaii so don't be surprised. Using the gate to the driveway is a tiny bit annoying because there isn't a lot of room to stop the car outside to go punch in the code (but the street has zero traffic so not a big deal at all). Most of the room air conditioners are modern and quiet mini splits but one room has an old one that sounds like a steam train. The house has like 500 light switches that are hard to find, especially in the super long hallway.But to be absolutely clear these are extremely minor issues that will not negatively affect your stay!

This house is just absolutely gorgeous for the windward side of the island. We stayed for 3 nights and absolutely enjoyed the property and views. The host even allowed us to check in earlier than our arrival time. If you’re staying in Hilo, this is the house you want to book!

Property inside and out was very clean, and well maintained. Appreciate the wide driveway, the locked gate into the property, the beautifully maintained trails, the clean decks, how well equipped the kitchen was, clean bedrooms & bathrooms, the close proximity of the property to the airport and to all the areas we need to get to. We appreciate the AC, and extensive space available in the living room and dining room. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.A couple of the bedrooms had bugs (the moths attracted to light), most of which were in the master bedroom. Not sure how they werecoming into the rooms, when it was fully screened. Wi-Fi connectivity was quite poor..
