Denna Main Street stuga är bekvämt beläget och privat gör det till en perfekt tillflyktsort! Hittade bakom ett stort kalkstenshus på Main Street och omgivet av ett privatlivsstängsel, är detta lilla hus skyddat från Main Street-trafiken, men ändå lätt beläget till affärer och restauranger. Inredningen är franskt land med lite eklektisk kastad in och är verkligen en gudomlig och speciell plats att ringa hem.

En mysig veranda erbjuder fyra vilsam stolar för att besöka, läsa eller ha ett glas vin. Inuti är ett vardagsrum med skinnsoffa och två eleganta men bekväma stolar för att njuta av storskärms-tv. Det fullt utrustade köket har en skörd bord sittplats sex. Ett ljust, öppet kök har ett stort kylskåp, elektrisk spishäll / ugn, mikrovågsugn, kaffebryggare och diskmaskin.

Det finns tre sovrum och två badrum i denna exceptionella hem. Två av sovrummen har queen size-sängar och båda är täckta med lyxiga sängkläder och täcken. De två drottning sovrummen delar ett bad i korridoren med badkar / dusch och två fåfänga handfat. Det tredje sovrummet har en dubbel / full size säng, men har eget badrum med en stor glasdusch. Sängar, konst och inredning är fantastiska och gör din vistelse roligaste.

Location is perfect!!

Great little cottage to spend a girls weekend getaway In Fredericksburg!! Perfect for our group of 5. Parking is limited and other tenants parked in front of our cottage blocking view and stairs accessibility (only complaint!)We would definitely stay here again.

Perfectly suited

This place is fabulous! It easily accommodates six people, though there were only four in our group. Each room is well appointed with closet and storage space as well as nicely decorated. We found everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. The living room is very comfortable with lots of light. The location is good making everything on Main Street within walking distance. We'll seek this place again the next time we visit Fredericksburg.

Great weekend getaway

We took a quick trip after Thanksgiving to Fredricksburg and The Oaks on Main was the perfect location. We were able to take some wine tours during the day and walk all along Main in the afternoon/evenings. The location was perfect. The home was clean, stocked with the few things we needed in the kitchen and the beds were comfy. We can definitely see ourselves rebooking for future visits.

If you want Main St- stay here

This place was perfection for location to walking Main St. We had all the shopping, restaurants, and coffee/ sweets shops easily accessible to walk to. However, I would not recommend this to anyone in a wheelchair or unsteady ambulatory abilities since the path up was a patchy & unmaintained dirt mounds until you got to the streets. For us- it wasn’t a big deal at all. The house was lovely and cozy. Clean despite the keurig and one mug who I spoke to the owner about. They even had snacks and toiletries out for use. This house was very comfortable accommodating us 5 adults and had a great lounge area on porch and the living room. All directions and communication was clear and concise. :) would highly recommend!

Great place to stay!

Great location, friendly and helpful owner, clean and comfortable. Plenty of space. Quiet even though right on Main Street. Lovely porch to sit and visit. Highly recommend. We will stay again!

Downtown Fredericksburg

We stayed here over the President’s holiday weekend. This location is great for accessing the main downtown area. The house was clean, and layed out nicely for our stay. The host communicated promptly and was easy to work with. I would stay here again.

5 night stay The Oaks on Main

Our 5-night stay had several issues that impacted our experience. Upon arrival Friday, the provided door code didn’t work, requiring a call to the office for a new one. We found bedding left in the dryer, no WiFi, and a disruptive noise—a loud thump and alarm every 5 minutes from a sump pump.Saturday, I contacted the office about the WiFi and noise. A maintenance person fixed the WiFi and called a plumber, who attempted to address the sump pump but didn’t resolve it. The noise persisted, and after returning at 8:45 PM, I contacted the office again. They sent someone late that evening to turn off the system, which stopped the noise.Sunday, the WiFi was down again, attributed to a storm. The office didn’t follow up, but a neighbor helped by contacting the owners to reset the router. Monday, plumbers returned in the morning, but the sump pump noise became continuous by afternoon. After another call, plumbers fixed it that day. Tuesday, the WiFi dropped again, requiring yet another router reset.While the office responded to issues, they were cold and not so friendly when addressing our concerns. Except for Peggy, thanks Peggy for the follow up call about the wifi on Saturday on your day off and the guys that came out were great too. the office ladies not so much. the recurring WiFi outages, sump pump noise, and initial oversights (door code, bedding) made the stay frustrating. The property and house was beautiful, comfy beds and a great location.

Wonderful, modern, spotless, Pin quiet at night. literally 20 steps to the main street, shopping, meals, and fun. Three beds, perfect for a family. Morning coffee and evening wine on the porch. We will be back.

Perfect Thanksgiving Get Away!!

We had a wonderful time at “The Oaks on Main”! Stayed the week of Thanksgiving and couldn't have been more pleased with our accommodations. The location is perfect for walking to shops and restaurants. The house is very clean and nicely decorated….a charming place for a holiday get away! There isn't a single negative thing to be said about the place or our experience. This might be our permanent T-Day get-away destination from now on. Thank you for a great T-Day to remember!

Excellent Property

My girlfriends and I enjoyed a 4-day trip in Fredericksburg and couldn't have had a better place to stay. The Oaks on Main is a lovely spacious home with everything you need to be comfortable. It's an easy walk to shops and restaurants and a wonderful place to relax after a day of shopping and sightseeing. It's spacious, clean, and well appointed. If I had another trip to Fredericksburg, I'd definitely stay there again.

Girls Weekend

We had a family "girls" weekend to celebrate my niece who is heading back to school, to get her Masters. The place worked perfect for all 5 of us. It was very clean and felt like Home. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room for all of us. It is very close to town, safe and we were able to walk into town, with no problems. We would definately go back to this home and stay again.

Tucked away comfort.

The Oaks on Main is tucked behind a stately historic stone home. The gardens between the two are beautiful to see. The home needs more storage opportunities in the third bedroom - there was no place to store our clothes and so forth. The gate was a bit tricky and closed on vehicles attempting to leave (and waiting for passing cars)...perhaps a longer open period would be sufficient. We enjoyed the stay.

The perfect cottage

This cottage was absolutely perfect. It was clean, cute, comfortable and convenient to everything. We felt safe behind the gated entrance and especially loved that we were able to sit on the porch and enjoy the Texas breeze during the mornings and evenings. The home was nicely decorated and had every necessary amenity. We noticed that the owner and the rental company also provided additional little touches to make our stay extra enjoyable. Thank you Gastehaus Schmidt for being so kind and helpful during our visit to Fredericksburg. We plan to contact you in the future to stay in this perfect cottage again.
