Denna vackra, stora fyra sovrum, två badrum hem och egendom gränsar till Whynaughts strand (sandstrand) på Atlanten är 30 min från Halifax på Nova Scotias södra strand. Det är omgivet av en livlig gemenskap och nedsänkt i lokal kultur. Den nordliga gränsen till fastigheten ligger på "Rum Runners Trail", en naturskön 107 km preparerad spår (idealisk för cykling, promenader, fyrhjuling eller snöskoter) som går från Halifax till staden Lunenburg, södergränsen ligger vid havet. Peggy's Cove och andra natursköna enheter och platser ligger i närheten genom att ge dig en upplevelse av viktiga Nova Scotia-liv.
Hemmet har fyra stora sovrum (med generöst garderob och lådor) och ett mycket stort, fullt utrustat kök samt ett rymligt vardagsrum med gott om solstolar och vacker utsikt. Det är perfekt för antingen ensamstående familj eller för flera familjer. En stapelbar tvättmaskin och torktumlare finns i övervåningen. Ett stort främre däck med stolar och bord med utsikt över stranden är en perfekt plats att se dina barn leka om en hel dag på stranden inte är din grej. Det främre däcket är utrustat med en kokgrill. En kaffebar komplett med en espressomaskin finns i matsalen. Morgonutsikten från de främre två sovrummen är spektakulära när du tittar på de lokala fiskebåtarna går på jobbet.

Hemmet är utrustat med en bärbar barns spjälsäng, barnstol och joggestol på begäran. Luftkonditionering finns i varje rum (utom barnrummet på grund av brandkodereglerna) samt bottenvåningen på bottenvåningen. Internet-klar 4K-TV, wifi, kabel, Netflix och en fast telefon (endast lokala samtal) tillhandahålls. Hemmet har bra mobiltelefonmottagning.
En stor livsmedelsbutik och andra stora stadsfaciliteter ligger 12 minuter bort i Upper Tantallon. Mindre butiker finns i närheten. Ytterligare stugor som hyrs av andra ägare ligger bredvid om större grupper vill resa.
Detta är en rökfri hyra. Incheckning är 15:00 och utcheckning är 10:00. Men om ingen hyra reserveras varken före eller direkt efter, är dessa tider flexibla.

We stayed three nights. Great start to our first visit to Nova Scotia. House is in an extremely convenient location, about equidistant from Peggy’s Cove and Lunenburg. Nice view of the beach and ocean across the street. Traffic on the road wasn’t too heavy and was so quiet at night. But you do have to look when you cross to the beach!House is so comfortable. Beds are comfortable, furniture was comfortable and the kitchen has everything you could ever want to make just about any type of meal. Pots and pans, all in great condition, nice sharp knives, plenty of plates, glasses and silverware. We really felt at home. Communication with the owner was perfect. Appreciated that she checked up on us to make sure everything was going well and responded to our questions very quickly. We are so impressed with Nova Scotia hospitality. : )

This was the 2nd year our group came here and we’re steady booked for 2026! The house has everything you need, is spacious and clean with comfy beds! The beach is right across the street which is fabulous, we swam every day! The hosts are excellent to communicate with and answer every question quickly.

Perfect Stay!

We had an absolutely incredible experience at this property. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had every amenity we could possibly need. Perfect location-we traveled to Halifax, Lunenburg, Peggy's Cove, Blue Rocks and Ovens National Park. We wouldn't change a thing to this house. Thank you for offering your beautiful property.

So close to the beach!

Thank you for hosting us! So much room and fully stocked which was really nice. Very comfortable linens and beds! The walk to the beach is close. The neighbors let us use the front lawn because the highway has fast drivers!!

Lovely house with a beautiful view

My friends and I stayed at this lovely, spacious house over an extended long weekend. The house is lovely, clean and has all of the amenities — Kelly and Doug have thought of everything. There are a few shops (including grocery and a liquor store) just a short drive away. Its location is ideal for exploring nearby towns of Chester and Lunenburg. The house overlooks a small, beautiful beach, and we really enjoyed sitting in the deck and listening to the ocean. Check-in was easy, and communication with Kelly and Doug was great. Would highly recommend!

Perfect family getaway

Our family of five stayed here over the Thanksgiving weekend and had a wonderful stay. The place is comfy and there is plenty of lounging space for all of us. Love having all the games and books. The kitchen is very well equipped (the best we have had after renting many places over the years.) There is so much to explore in this area. Doug and Kelly are great hosts!

This house was spacious, immaculate; beautifully decorated with comfortable beds and an amazing view of the ocean! I loved watching the sunrise every morning. This was a good base for us to see the area from Halifax to Peggy's Cove to Lunenburg. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit in this beautiful home!

Excellent house, great location, helpful hosts

This house is centrally located for visiting many of the most popular destinations along the South Shore. It is very near several beaches and just a few minutes drive from the restaurants and a grocer in Hubbards. Tastefully furnished and well equipped, it is also thoughtfully supplied for visitors, e.g. boxes of tissue paper and night lights in every room. The hosts respond quickly and are most helpful.

Amazing views

Can't beat the views and we have stayed at over 20 VRBO's. Beach down the road and although the street can be a bit busy it was still quiet. Great location for getting around including Halifax not being that far away. Good communication and stocked kitchen.

Beautiful home!

Five retired ladies on our 24th year of w/ends away and have to say this was one of the best! The house is stocked with everything you need for your stay and the ocean directly across the street is a game changer! We went to two beaches in the area and a lovely market just down the street on Sat. Our group will definitely rent this property again, the hosts were excellent with their communication and answering any questions we had.

Great stay for family & friends

Great stay for friends and families A beautiful home that is so well decorated with the beach theme. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The host has thought of so many tiny little things to make your stay comfortable. The view from the front door is so magnificent and unreal. We used the bbq as well and enjoyed our time visiting nearby towns. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable and we used the many amenities that came with the house. We were two families and the kids had a fun time at the beach. The place is truly a gem. I highly recommended this place.

Paradise in Hubbards

We absolutely LOVED this cottage. It is very spacious, clean, well appointed with everything you could need, including beach towels and chairs! I reached out to the owners several times and they responded very quickly. The location is heavenly - right across the street from a beech. We were four adults and four kids. There was a swing for them to play on and lots of deck space for them to spread out on. My husband really enjoyed the selection of books and read three in just one week. I can't say enough good about this cottage!

Lovely home in Queensland

Doug and Kelly’s home in Queensland was lovely. It is very clean and brightly decorated. All the bedrooms were large and comfortable. It was great for the rooms to have their own Lenox heating/cooling system for individual comfort. The bathroom was generously supplied with beautiful towels and convenient laundry facilities. They were wonderful hosts, understanding of our delayed arrival due to the IT outage, and responsive to our questions and needs. It is very conveniently located to Halifax one way and Lunenborg and Peggy’s Cove the other way. There were 7 of us in our group and it was very comfortable. We would be happy to stay again if we return to Nova Scotia.

We are two Canadians currently living in the US and purchased this home as a summer rental and getaway for ourselves. We are frequent travelers who have rented many properties and love this style of travel. Important features we look for when we travel are comfortable beds, ample and comfortable lounging spaces, a well equipped kitchen (we love to cook,.. and eat of course), an ambiance for relaxation, a convenient location, and cleanliness. Our goal was to make our place exceptional in these areas and we think we have accomplished that. We are very familiar with the Halifax area and are happy to answer any questions or make any suggestions that may make your visit better. We welcome you to our home.

Varför värden valde detta boende

This area has a great significance to us as Atlantic Canadians. We both spent some of our university years here and we hope to retire in the area.
The surrounding community and oceanfront living has a vibe that goes perfect with relaxation and a glass of wine. The city of Halifax is close by as are many small towns with a great taste of Nova Scotia character. We feel this area is a great representation of what Nova Scotia really is and are happy to share it with those who want to experience the Atlantic Canada culture. We are very proud of this slice of Canada and hope you enjoy it to its fullest.

We loved the ocean views, the large living room, and the views from the bedroom windows. The ocean waves are heard throughout the house. Mornings here are a freshness and a tranquility that's hard to explain unless you experience it.
