Den nyligen ombyggda Estate at Chalk Hill är en lyxig privatbostad i den berömda Alexander Valley of Healdsburg. Med cirka 3000 kvadratfot vardagsrum och svepande utsikt över vingård, är denna "moderna rustika" reträtt den perfekta platsen för familjer och vänner för att samla in, varva ner och bygga traditioner. Uppflugen på en kulle, The Estate på Chalk Hill känns underbart avskilt, men ändå restauranger, shopping, vingårdar och en myriad av äventyr är bara en kort bilresa bort och Windsor och Healdsburg är inom 5 och 10 miles respektive.

Levande. The Estate på Chalk Hill är en enda nivå hem med en öppen planlösning och höga takbjälkar i de gemensamma utrymmena. Det huvudsakliga vardagsrummet finns en mysig sittgrupp med en över stora vedeldade spis. En separat loungen har en sectional soffa som står inför en stor plasma-TV med surroundljud, en DVD-spelare och iPod-anslutningar. Huset har också ett trådlöst nätverk för att underlätta för gästerna.

Mat. Den matsal / kök har en annan överdimensionerad vedeldade spis med ett matbord med plats för 10. Det öppna köket har en stor ö med barstolar, kommersiella apparater och alla servis att vara värd för en fantastisk middag. Om du behöver en plats för vinet du samlar under ditt besök, det finns en 42 flaska skåp i matsalen.

Sovande. The Estate på Chalk Hill har fyra sovrum, varav en är också ett allrum perfekt för barn. Befälhavaren har en king size säng med en stor walk in closet, lyxiga master bad och glidande glasdörr till ett däck. De två gäst sovrum har queen sängar och utsikt över vinodlingar. Den andra bad har en över stora dubbel dusch med en bild fönster. Det gränsar en av gäst sovrum och kan även nås från hallen. Det sista sovrummet är multifunktionell och har två enkelsängar, en fooz boll bord, en plasma-TV och är ansluten till ett badrum som även inrymmer tvättmaskin / torktumlare.

Slappa och spela. Från varje plats på fastigheten kan du ta in en spektakulär utsikt över Alexander Valley och Mt. St Helena. Njut av poolen under dagen (observera att det nu är inhägnad för säkerheten), och badtunna på natten; en vänlig boccia boll match eller en omgång "HORSE" på basket halv domstol. Små barn kan njuta av walk-in lekstuga. Eller om lounging är vad som finns i ordning, ta en bok och njuta av solen däck, hängmattan eller gunga. Bortom fastigheten finns gott om vandringsleder och möjligheter cykling ... liksom golf, zip foder, ballongflygning och mycket mer!

Fantastic place near Healdsburg

We have stayed in several great places in wine country. This is the best property by far. The house is incredible, modern, clean. The views are breathtaking. Communication with the property manager and owner super easy. We highly recommend this place.

Extraordinary Property with Breathtaking Views!!

What a fabulous home and the 360 views are remarkable! The house is beautifully designed and appointed. The kitchen is chef ready and the bedrooms / suites are incredibly luxurious! We loved the pool, outdoor spaces and the openness of the main living space! Lisa was wonderful, available and the instructions provided in the home were so helpful. We will definitely be back! Such a perfect place to relax and unwind!

Beautiful, private, well-appointed property near Healdsburg

The view is as gorgeous as advertised, and the house is incredibly stylish, spacious, and well-appointed. Outside: The pool is a definite highlight. It's refreshing (read: not bathwater warm) and beautiful--long enough for modest laps, deep enough for plunging, and spectacularly well kept. Someone came by regularly to clean, which we really appreciated. Inside: the beds are soft and comfortable, the bathrooms and showers are modern, the kitchen is comfortable and well-stocked, and the decor is very tasteful. The lighting, furniture, and space were ample. I stayed with five family members for my mother's 70th birthday and it was very special. We ultimately preferred Healdsburg to the Napa side, it's a very cute town with lots of fine dining and low-key wineries. Lisa was great. She went above and beyond when I asked about pre-stocking, offering to do it in advance or have someone arrange for us. (We did not take her up, but I was grateful for the offer.) We had a few maintenance issues, but she dealt with them speedily and generously, and the caretaker Steve and his wife were lovely. Things to note: The driveway is more of a steep, one-lane road and could be intimidating to nervous or older drivers, especially at night. It gets buggy (mosquitos, too) after nightfall. And we suspect previous guests have walked off with or misplaced wine openers, as we had trouble locating one, so come prepared just in case. You're about 20 minutes from town. I would love to stay here again.

Beautiful setting in Sonoma County

The residence has a beautiful backdrop of the Mayacamas Mountains. The home has an open floor plan with a great area for entertaining and cooking. Everything you need is right there. Would definitely return to this wonderful location.

Amazing villa with incredible views!

Amazing property!

What an amazing property! We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend. Everything from the spectacular views and location to the great space that included all the amenities was perfect. Lisa was also very accommodating and helpful. What a great getaway with friends!

Simply OMG! For 3 to 4 couples who desire a weekend or a week in Sonoma, this place is hard to beat

From the beginning, Lisa could not have been more pleasant to work with. The home is simply wonderful and comfortable… The kitchen and dining room, leading to the outdoor seating area could not be more conducive to a gathering of family and friends. The first drive up the long driveway/road is a bit "harrowing", but then you realize how wonderful it is to be away from it all, yet still so close to wineries and activities. Best complement of all… "We would do this again in a heartbeat!" Thanks much Lisa

Beautiful property with an amazing view

This property is so wonderful. Our group of eight had the most perfect vacation. We spent our mornings watching the sunrise sipping coffee and our evenings playing bocce ball. The view is unmatched. The photographs give you an idea but it's so much more spectacular in person. The kitchen is well stocked for those wanting to cook. Our group loved gathering around the large dining table for meals. We thank Lisa for all of her hospitality! This is a one of a kind property.

Healdsburg Bike and Brew

Our days went pretty much like this: get up from our comfortable beds, have a cup of coffee as we watched the sunrise over Mount St Helena from the deck, cook our breakfast in the well appointed gourmet kitchen, bike the beautiful areas of Chalk Hill, Alexander Valley, Dry Creek and Russian River, swim in the pool to cool off, play bocce ball, BBQ dinner, drink the fine beer of Bear Republic, and repeat. It was a perfect stay for us. The house is just as advertised and really better. Bedrooms, baths, kitchen, common areas - all clean, new, and comfortable. The grounds are fantastic. Spectacular views, great pool, bocce ball, nice gardens. Lisa was very responsive from the moment we inquired through our entire stay. We will definitely return. This house is perfect for families, a couple families, small groups. The setting is quiet and peaceful, yet close enough to Healdsburg and Windsor (and really Calistoga and Geyserville) for shopping and restaurants. Of course for wine lovers it would be an amazing base camp. If you bike from there, like we did, just know the driveway is a little steep - but it makes the reward of the pool and brew waiting at the top all the more worth it!

Perfection

Where to start? The Estate on Chalk Hill was more beautiful in person than in the photos...and the photos were beautiful. The home was nestled high on top of a hill overlooking the scenic vineyard of Chalk Hill. Our group of 6 (all city dwellers) could not have picked a more perfect place to be secluded on our couples' wine tasting trip. The home was so beautiful, had everything (and more) that we needed for cooking a great meal, plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, hair dryer. In fact, it was better than staying in a hotel. The privacy and scenery was magnificent. Downtown Healdsburg only a 20 minute drive! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the country and cannot have had a better experience, beginning at the Estate on Chalk Hill. Thank you, Lisa (and family) for allowing us to rent your beautiful home!

Breathtaking views

We had a fantastic family trip with ages 20-83 everyone happy, relaxed and comfortable. The house overlooks vineyards with breathtaking views all around the home. The accommodations were perfect a little something for everyone to enjoy, bocci, pool, hot tub or just reading a book on the covered porch, can't ask for anything better. Lisa the owner was wonderful to work with and we would love to come back and stay in the future. Highly recommend for families or couples getaway to wine country.

Fantastic!

Beautiful house. Amazing view. Convenient location that still feels peaceful and removed from any noise. Very well-stocked kitchen. Linens are very good quality. Lovely garden. And the owners are easy to work with and extremely responsive and considerate. Our family loved this house and we would come back every year if we could.

It's Hard to Fault this Place!

The views...omg. As wonderful as you think they look in pictures, they are even better in person. We traveled to this home for my husband's 40th birthday with 5 other friends, and there was plenty of room indoors and out for all of us. The kitchen is well stocked, the bathrooms wonderful and the overall floor plan fantastic for hanging out with friends. Lisa was great to work with and answered any questions we come up with. The pool area and bocce court are simply amazing, and you will end up hanging around more than you think (even with the fantastic wine country and restaurants nearby). We spent a day biking Dry Creek Valley and another day with a driver (the limo CAN make it up the drive, regardless of their concern when you book a car). I would recommend a driving service of some sort if you plan to do much wine tasting, as the roads are very curvy and the drive steep (the benefit of which is privacy when you get home). The entire rental process was simple and again, the home has everything you need. Highly recommended, and a home that I would be happy to return to.

Well deserved 5 star ratings!

Our family (husband, two 20 something children and their significant others) were lucky to stay in this beautiful home over MLK weekend. Having rented many homes for this group, we all agreed that this easily was one of the nicest. It has the most well equipped kitchen, gorgeous views of vineyards and countryside, comfy beds and furniture. This home is beautifully decorated but not at all fussy and has many comforts. The owners have thought of everything. We hope we are lucky enough to return. Many thanks to the owners for making this a very special weekend!

DREAMY SETTING

I chose this house from several that I liked on VRBO and it was the right choice, no question! We were mesmerized by the view, and the house is absolutely beautiful and comfortable, which is exactly what we wanted. The beds are comfortable, the baths are lovely, and the kitchen/dining is the perfect size for hanging out as a group (plus it is well-stocked)! We had planned to go into town and wine taste one day, but we were so happy on the deck that we never left! Our only regret is that the weather was not warm enough to use the pool...so we will be back!

Did not disappoint! Perfect home away from home.

My family and I had read the amazing reviews of estate at chalk hill farm over the summer and had wanted to rent it. It was not available but when we decided to go back to wine country we grabbed this house for Thanksgiving. It did not disappoint at all. The house was immaculate. Beds super comfy. The kitchen equipped so that making a multi dish meal for thanksgiving was a breeze. There are plenty of pots, pans, serving pieces and dishes. If you are a cook this house is for you. There is nothing more frustrating than not having the right equipment. In addition, Lisa generously leaves things such as spices, flour, sugar, etc. what a pleasure not to have to haul all that with you. The television and den are perfect for watching hours of football (which we did!) and movies on a rainy day. (Yes it actually rained) We took the suggestion of other renters and went to taste wine at Calluna estates which you can see from the bedroom side of the house. The owners are very knowledgeable and my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our education and wine tasting experience with them. It is a must do on your calendar. In short, we will probably rent again. The vistas are gorgeous, the pool beautiful even though we didn't get to swim in it.

Amazing down to the very last detail!

I've rented plenty of homes through VRBO and have never bothered to take the time to write a review. But I just have to for this gem. The owners were so attentive from the day I first inquired about the property. Two days before I arrived I wrote to ask a few questions about their kitchen appliances, knowing we wanted to take advantage of the amazing kitchen. In response, the owners sharpened the knives prior to our arrival. Amazing! Once we got to the property we didn't want to leave. It's isolated, breathtaking and has everything you need for a fabulous stay. I have never been so comfortable outside my own home. It was perfect for our family and wish we had stayed longer.

Amazing experience

What a perfect place to get away from it all. We had 8 people stay to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday and I could not have been happier with the Estate at Chalk Hill. The property is gorgeous, the furnishings are beautiful, the pool and hot tub hit the spot, and the views are breathtaking. We had easy access to run, bike, visit wineries, drive into Healdsburg or just to relax on the deck. I'll definitely be back again. I LOVED this property.

Simply Wonderful: Fabulous House, Amazing Views

We were a group of 5 girls and this house was more than perfect for us. I highly recommend for everyone as it has everything you would want and more. Plenty of room, kitchen fully stocked, comfortable beds, hot tub and BBQ pits were perfect after a long day of drinking but nothing tops the absolute stunning views. We are hoping to return back within the next year or two. Lisa is also very easy to work with with quick responses to all of your needs. House is on a vineyard and after reading a review from past guests we reached out to the owner and he picked us up on his ATV for a private wine tasting on the estate. You wouldn't get this experience anywhere else! Location is not too far from downtown Healdsburg but if you will be touring multiple wineries and drinking, I highly recommend a limo service. We used Stornetta Limos, pricing was slightly cheaper than competition but the service was far beyond what we expected with accomodations and professionalism. Highly recommend Stornetta if you are in need of a driver...ask for Magic Mike!

Spectacular views and a beautiful home!

We recently returned from the Estate at Chalk Hill and can not express enough how wonderful our trip was. I was already sold on Healdsburg, but my friends who were first time visitors left wanting to return ASAP. The Hauswirth's home made our trip that much more special. The house is perfectly appointed with great decor and there is not a thing missing in the kitchen. Everything is clean, nicer quality, in great condition and well maintained. Lisa was fantastic to work with as other reviewers have mentioned. She was quick to respond and patient with my often, very specific questions. One of the most special and memorable afternoons was our visit to Calluna Vineyards which is adjacent to The Estate at Chalk Hill. David Jeffery was extremely accommodating with our schedule changes for a private tasting. Rather than us making the drive, David offered to pick us up at the back fence and drive us to his lovely home and tasting area on his ATV! We were thrilled with the unique adventure (compared to other Vineyards!) and even more impressed with the legacy of Calluna, as well as David's fantastic wines (our case recently arrived). I hope to return to The Hauswirth's in the future and thank them for sharing their lovely home.

Our family of four resides in San Francisco, as does our extended family. Healdsburg has always been one our favorites places to escape and explore - it's understated, yet sophisticated. We love spending time at our house and are judiciously sharing it with others who will treat it with the same care and respect as they would their own home. That's why we like to get to know a bit about our potential guests before we agree to host, to make sure it's a fit.

When we first saw the house we fell in love with the extraordinary views. While we were devastated to lose the original house in the Kincade Fire, starting from scratch gave us the opportunity - in partnership with our architect - to create something that took better advantage of the property and maximize the views..

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Of course we are biased but we can't think of a more beautiful gathering spot to build traditions with friends and family. The house is perfect for unwinding, relaxing and gathering - open layout, high ceilings, ample outdoor area. And the views are drop dead gorgeous.
