Relaxing stay

The cottage was clean. Only a short walk to the beach and several restaurants. A short drive to Old Orchard Beach and Portland too. The neighborhood was quiet. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back, if we have the chance someday.

Mini Honeymoon

We stayed there so we could get married on the beach and have a mini honeymoon. It was exactly what we wanted. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. It was great to simply walk to the beach. We would definitely stay there again.

Comfy for 2 people

Stayed 5 nights off season. Quick walk to beach. Nice neighborhood and quick drive to many scenic areas. - Portland lighthouse- Botanical Gardens-Trolls- fishing- Old Orchard Beach pier nearby. A quiet few days to explore and hike and eat fresh lobsters and breathe fresh air and regroup.

Love Pine Point

Nice spot for a summer vacation for two. Pine Point is a lovely area away from the noise and chaos of Old Orchard Beach. Not a big place, but all we needed.

Very nice propriété. Ideal for two people and a dog. The area is very quiet. The access to the beach is very close. Sea food in the nearby restaurants are very expensive.

Sea Smoke Cottage Review

Overall, this is a very nice place to stay for one or two people, possibly with a young child or small pets. The neighborhood has much to offer but lacks sidewalks, so walking is somewhat unsafe. The beach is absolutely beautiful. Definitely would consider coming back.

Lovely Little Cottage

This was a perfect place to come and enjoy our favorite beach. I brought my old dog so she could enjoy her puppyhood stomping grounds. She was delighted with the beach and comfortable at her home away from home. The space is cozy and easy to manage. I enjoyed meeting the neighbors and walking to the beach, to eat, and around the neighborhood. I'll be back!

Great place to stay

We loved the cottage. It is within walking distance to the beach and a few restaurants. Only a short drive to Orchard beach. As for the cottage it was very nice. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bathroom is small but it was fine. The back deck was also very nice to relax on. We would definitely stay here again.

A Perfect Little Cottage

Sea Smoke Cottage was a glorious little respite from our daily busy lives. Yes, it is a bit rustic and small, but for the two of us, we didn’t need anything more! The living room and bedroom have been updated from what is in the pictures. The neighborhood was quiet and well-kept. The location was perfect, just a few minute walk from the beach and within walking distance of several excellent restaurants. Short drive to Portland or Old Orchard Beach (or take the trolley!). The bed was so comfortable that we both slept the best we have in a long time. The only negative I can say is that the bathroom is small, but for most people it would be fine. I am 6’8”, weight two hundred “too much,” and occupy a ton of space, so this “issue” is entirely my fault. 😂 We hated to leave, but alas, retirement hasn’t quite come yet. We hope to return to Pine Point again in the future and this will be our choice for accommodations.

Perfect Beach Escape

What could be better than a 5 minute walk from the beach? I rented this cottage for a week for my small family (2 adults and 1 child) & we brought our 2 dogs after clearing that with the owner. Since we wanted to vacation with our dogs & did not want them relegated to crates or barking at housekeeping staff members in a hotel, it seemed that renting a small house was the best option, which was a first for us. It was the BEST! We were within walking distance to a beautiful beach, a short drive to many activities, a trolley ride from Old Orchard... we couldn’t have asked for more. The house is adorable. We met the property manager on our second day who was wonderful & beyond helpful. The neighbors were all very pleasant & kind (also vacationers). We spent one of the most relaxing weeks we’ve ever had & cannot wait to return. In addition, the property owner could not have been more pleasant to work with as far as booking went. We packed much more than was necessary as it turned out since the kitchen was full of items ready to be used by guests, which is not always the case in a rental home. The furniture was all clean & quite comfy. There was also no scent of prior dogs staying, which wouldn’t have bothered me being a dog lover, but we did have family meet us one afternoon & they even commented on the cleanliness of the house & lack of “dog odors” which they expected to encounter. We experienced one rainy day & found ourselves lounging indoors for several hours quite comfortably. Again, we could not have asked for more & truly hope to return year after year!

Great Location

This cottage was in a great location - quiet neighborhood, close to the beach, point/jetty, and river estuary. There were many very good eating places within walking distance. The only downfall was traveling long distance to Maine with a 3-week itinerary and having to provide our own sheets and towels for this cottage stay.

What a perfect cottage

Absolutely perfect & cozy cottage!

Everything was more than we could have hoped for and the cottage was so comfortable and cozy. The location was perfect and quiet, yet easy to get to anything we wanted with the beach right around the corner. We hope to be back again as soon as possible it was the best stay ever!

Loved it. The description mentioned a coffee grinder which wasn’t there but issue resolved immediately. The air condition doesn’t work at all and not sure it would have reached the bedroom. We only tried it one night when it rained and was was very humid. We came to Maine to escape the humidity of where we live. One last note. It would be great if we could pass items from the kitchen to the deck. We didn’t want to remove the screen in fear of damaging it. We realize this may not be possible but would have been a great feature. We cooked much of our stay and made great use of the deck.
