Perfect Location!!

Condo sits right on the beach with wonderful and peaceful views/sounds of the Atlantic Ocean. The location was absolutely perfect! The one thing I would do to make this Condo better was to replace the sliding glass door that looks out to the ocean. The window panes of the glass were foggy and the door is old. A clearer view of the ocean/outside is a must with this wonderful location. Once that is done I would give it a rating of Excellent vs good.

Needs more fresh air. Windows & sliding glass door don’t open. No screens on windows. Musty smell. Location is great. 1 roll of paper towels (quality brand) & 2 rolls of toilet paper, 1 combo shampoo/body wash, soap and conditioner included for each bathroom. NO tissues..

Villa D'amore

Great location. Excellent pool. Villa needs updating and attention to details. Minor repairs needed in baths; furnishings are old and outdated. Masters bedroom needs new mattress, pillows and bedding. Overdue for refreshing.

Pros - GREAT location! This is why we have stayed here repeated times. The only 2 bedroom on the beach. Cons - Furnishings and kitchen are old, dated and not in good condition. Door access to the patio is in poor working order. There is no longer a table to go with the chairs on the patio. There are no platters or necessary items for having guests over. I have mentioned these concerns in years prior and no changes have ever been made. The location and size have brought us back here several years. This unit has a corner on the market in those two respects. But the location is probably the best in DeBordieu!

the sliding door was insanely hard to open and close. It had a foggy appearance making the view out to the ocean hard to see. The outside sitting area was cracked and falling apart. Things seemed in disrepair.

Love DeBordieu!

The rental agency Peace Vacations did a great job and responded quickly to any issues. DeBordieu is the most wonderful family vacation. Quiet, friendly, beach is not crowded like so many other places. The 2 bedroom condo we had was well equipped, good bed and linens. We had a wonderful, much needed, relaxing week.

Wonderful location in Debordieu. Sliding door glass panels are foggy with age and the door is tough to open and close. Otherwise all essentails are in the condo for a relaxing stay at a beautiful place on the cost.

Good

The gate did not have us in the computer and we had to back to the rental office. Also had the wrong arrival date. We like the location and size but the interiors need refreshing .the drapes are terrible. Overall the space needs a thorough cleaning .the usual , owner doesn't want to spend money and wants more rent. At some point people stop renting. I would appreciate a call john trotter 843/8550356 thanks.

Good experience, same as last year. One thing that needs to be addressed is that the sliding glass door going to the beach could not be locked. looked to me like the striker plate is rusted away.

Many thanks to the Rental staff for obtaining a functioning TV and repairing the king bed in the Master Bedroom. The unit should have a Keurig coffee maker these days. The location is perfect...a beautiful view of the beach and crashing waves. The front porch is delightful in the afternoon shade. The Pioneer Pool was perfect for our grandchildren. Finally, the proximity to the Blue Heron Grill was great for quick meals of snacks.

Convenient

This was a nice condo with functional amenities. The unit was conveniently located ocean front, near community pool and Beach Club - but was still Hirt and private. Most furniture pieces were comfortable but all furnishings and kitchen could use an update.

We love this unit and have stayed there for several years now. Our only complaint is the master bed. It is very squeaky and the mattress is hard. But other wise we've always enjoyed our stay. Also, for the linen service: is there is any way to get sheets that aren't so scratchy? They are crunchy and make a lot of noise. Thanks!

Since selling our DeBordieu beach house, we have stayed at Villa D'Amore multiple times and will rent it in the future. It is a quiet break for the two of us from when we rent for all 17 of us the Kitchens' Creek House in July every year. Steam cleaning or otherwise cleaning the living room furniture fabric since our last stay there was an improvement, as I was allergic to its previous strong mildew odor... especially the sofa. The baths are very nice and the kitchen is fine... in a few years new appliances may be a good idea. Its location is superb.

Relaxing visit...

We had problems with the TV in master bedroom for the first 4 days...could not tune it in. Finally called management about it, they sent someone out, did not work, so cable company had to come out and change the box and all clickers. There was not a toaster oven or toaster and we brought bagels for breakfast, so that was a challenge. We did not starve. I guess the style of this condo is "shabby chic" and by day 3 the shabby part in the living room was real noticeable. Needs an update. Otherwise good visit.

Great location but unit needs a refresh...

First, let me say that I LOVE (can't emphasize that enough) the PV team...everyone I speak with is so friendly and accommodating. Y'all seriously knock it out of the park so thank you for being so welcoming and helpful! Now, onto my review...we have stayed in this unit twice now. The location is an A+...out of this world. The unit, however, is probably the most rundown of all the rentals we've enjoyed @ Debordieu for the following reasons. -The furniture and draperies are stained. -The kitchen has a mish mash of cups and utensils and plates but not enough of anything to cook/enjoy a meal (which is part of the reason why we like to rent so we can have access to a kitchen). -The kitchen fridge ice maker did not work. -Extra blankets would be nice for kids who get chilly at night! We ended up using our beach towels to keep warm over bedding. -The real fail, however, is the worst internet service EVER. Both my husband and I had difficulty working remotely because of it as it cuts out frequently and was abysmally S-L-O-W. My dial up connection in the 90's was faster than this internet. We ended up using our cell phone hot spots most of the time for basic tasks. -The garage was full of cobwebs and broken beach chairs/toys so perhaps the owners could just pitch the junk so the space was more user friendly. I think this unit would be a lot more enjoyable with a thorough cleaning and a quick review of basic essentials that vacationers need. We love Debordieu and would love to rent this unit again if it undergoes a much-needed refresh.

Villa D'Amode

This Villa has a great beach front location next to club. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. While the Villa was clean, it was also shopworn and poorly provisioned. Upholstery in the living room was torn and needed cleaning. The traverse rod for the drapery over the sliding glass door was broken. The kitchen had only one wine glass and needs a new coffee maker. The king mattress makes a loud cracking noise. The tile/grout in both bathrooms needs to be professionally cleaned. Overall we did not feel that the Villa meets the accommodation standards desired by your typical Debordieu guest or expectations based on the rental rate.

Peas egg vacations

Your staff was outstanding. Everything you said would happen, did. No glitches what so ever. We were well taken care of. Everything went extremely well. Very impressed with the professionalism demonstrated by your staff. Prior to our visit we had many questions, your staff answered them in a professional and respectful manner. Very impressed with your organization. We will be back, just not in the same villa unless the owner improves the property

Ussery 8/14 -8/19

We enjoyed our stay at Villa D'Amore; however, there was one annoying issue. The TVs in the three rooms were setup differently with different channel numbers in the living room than the BRs. Also, all channels were not available in the LR; i.e. CBS and other networks were not even available. Otherwise, we had a good time.
