Beautiful lake front home. View from all rooms. Kids fished right from the dock and loved it. Great proximity to the Ark and Creation museum

I was excited to book on a lake. Where I come from the land around lakes is relatively flat, so I was surprised to find we were on a slope overlooking the lake. The view is stunning. We spent most of our time at the house on the decks. The downside of the beautiful view is a sloped driveway that scared the daylights out of me. Didn't scare my drivers, though. They were truck drivers, so I suppose they did scary stuff all the time.The remodeled inside of the house is nice. The teal color scheme is relaxing and the house is clean and the bedding is all new. Outside areas still need repaired or updated so be careful. A few of us used a kayak on the lake. It and the paddles are in good condition. If you are a larger person, take your own life jacket. Life jackets are required on the lake. Three medium jackets are at the house.

We enjoyed our stay. The view from the porch and deck is great. While on the main part of the lake, the waterfront is in sort of a bay, so there isn't as much boat traffic by the dock as the place we stayed at last year.The hosts are very responsive. They quickly replied to questions and brought over propane tanks shortly after we noted that the tank on the grill was getting low.A downside is that there is only seating for 4 at the dining table, but there are picnic tables and a cover table on the porch, so it all worked out. The driveway is very steep and could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues. There are two spots to park at the top of the drive. Three cars can go on the driveway.My my brother and son have dogs. The host let us have the dogs over when they visited. We just had to keep them outside which wasn't a problem.

Thanks for much for staying with us ❤️ and yes, I agree about the table. There’s just not enough space and these lake houses for everything that you would hope that you would need. So considering it’s a summer destination, that’s why we have ample seating outside. We hope that you come back and see us and thank you so much for the great review.

This home on the lake was beyond wonderful! The house was spotless the setting was gorgeous. There was plenty of room for the nine of us to spread out and sit by the water or on the deck or in the lovely living room or at the picnic tables. It was so nice to sit and watch the skiers out on the lake! Our host was especially helpful and very quick to respond. We had one issue with the bathtub in the master suite not draining properly. We told our host late one evening and even though it was a holiday weekend, she had a plumber at the house the very next morning. He fixed the problem for us. There was plenty of parking space and the seating area and fire pit were outstanding. This really was a gem of a property. The only small issue we had was the fact that there were nine of us and the only table in the house sat 4 easily and 5 after we found an extra chair and put a cushion on it. We had to eat in shifts or eat standing up. Unfortunately, it was raining most of the time that we were there or we would have just eaten outside at the picnic table. We mentioned this to our host and she acknowledged that it is a problem and said she would state more clearly in the online description about the seating/eating arrangement. But that was a minor problem that we worked around and we would happily stay here again!

A wonderful space to sit and enjoy the lake. House was very well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen. The use of the kayaks and lily pad was an unexpected benefit. Host was extremely responsive. We have already booked for next year!
