I wish I could give this property and the host more than 5 stars! The cottage is an absolute fairytale dream with a clear attention to detail that the host generously provides to ensure a comfortable stay. We were only able to enjoy the cottage for a quick stay and we were so sad to leave. Do not think twice about booking this charming cottage!

We enjoyed our stay at Linda's Larkin Cottage very much and hope to return in the next few months. The cottage is in a terrific location and is super clean, sweetly set up, private, and comfortable. The hot tub was used every day and the view of the ocean from the hot tub (and the cottage itself) was nice.

Lovely cottage and setting with lots of flowers. Loved the gas fireplace that really warmed us up. So did the hot tub! Enjoyed the fluffy bathrobes. Ocean view in the back of the house. Nice to have parking next to the house. Easy drive into Mendocino or Ft Bragg.

PERFECT HONEY TIME!

What a beautiful place to stay and so close to all the places my wife and I wanted to go. I couldn’t believe my iPhone didn’t have reception. Come on Verizon. The only problem was slow internet. But with the view, yard and hot tub, just perfect. Thank you for the perfect stay.

Wonderful and invaluable cottage

I was able to attend our family vacation because of this beautiful, tidy, and well-appointed cottage (with kitchen). I especially loved its quiet birding-garden spaces and easy layout where I could take good care of myself, yet be close to the family. Communication was excellent. The extra touches and goodies were appreciated. It was a lovely place to be on my milestone birthday. My husband and I will visit again! Thank you!

Staying at Larkin Cottage

Very nice. Cozy. We liked having hot tub and fireplace. Bed was comfortable. We were at cottage during some rainy weather. One suggestion would be to put two hooks to right of kitchen door to hang up raincoats. Also, appreciated the gas grill and beautiful flowers

The Larkin Cottage

The property was beautiful. Flowers all around the property were blooming. Hot tub was clean and warm. TV access worked great and it just happened to be the same channels we use at home. There was a generous goodie basket for us with coffee, wine and other goodies. The furniture and bedding were warm and cozy. We had a great visit. Thank you Linda for being a great host.

Peaceful, restful place

Quaint little cottage to get away and read, rest, reflect. Perfect location close to Mendocino town, but far enough away for quiet seclude. Fully stocked kitchen, just bring your own food for cooking! No need to leave if you're looking for complete solitude.

I purchased The Larkin Cottage in 2006. I really was not looking to buy a property in Mendocino but I had recently retired and came to the area to visit a friend. I saw this lovely property and knew it would be a wonderful place to share with my family and friends. The Larkin Cottage was an extra bonus!

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

The Larkin Cottage property has so much character. The main house on the property was built in the late 1800's and originally was located closer to the highway. It has been well loved and cared for over the years. The Larkin Cottage was the original chicken coop, converted to housing in the 1940's for the original owner's son to live in after he married. In the 1970's the guest house was added and much later the gazebo and play house. All of the buildings have been remodeled in the last 5 years.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The Larkin Cottage is so private and yet so close to town. It really is a special place.
