Vi har nu central luftkonditionering! Vi är belägna på hörnet av Juniper och Union i Leland, strax över 2: a tee och 1: a grön på Leland Country Club golfbana. Vi är steg från bollfältet och tennisbanorna, en fyra minuters promenad till Neddos Bay offentliga strand och båt ramp på Lake Leelanau, och en 10 minuters promenad downtown till livsmedelsbutiker, affärer, stränder i Lake Michigan, etc.

Vårt hus har två sovrum på övervåningen med queen size-sängar, ett litet sovrum nere med en enkelsäng, ett badrum med dusch på övervåningen, ett stort kaklat badrum med dubbel duschkabin nedervåningen och en halv bad utanför köket. Alla köksgeråd och sängkläder ingår. Tvättmaskin och torktumlare finns i källaren. Vi har en trevlig stor gård, två däck och naturligtvis en kolgrill. Det finns en trevlig utsikt över sjön Leelanau genom grannens tallar, och många andra fina vyer som man går ner Juniper Trail. Annat än lakefront är detta en av de finaste platserna i Leland.

Perfect house for a Leland getaway

Such a charming, clean house and walkable or a short drive to where you want to be in Leland. The yard & decks are surrounded by trees for privacy, and you can walk to Nedows Bay beach for a swim. Bruce was fantastic to work with. We really enjoyed our stay, highly recommend!

Relaxing get-away

Our overall experience was very positive. It was just the right size for our family- 3 adults and one child. Loved all the options for outdoor dining or lounging space. The living room/dining was a very comfortable size. The kitchen was small but very workable. We probably ate at home more than many guests because it is often easier to do so with young children, and restaurant dining was a bit more limited because of the Covid situation. Wish there would have been a larger 5 qt. pot for making larger quantity meals. Owner/host made a point of coming by and introducing himself and accommodating us with much useful information for activities which was very helpful. Highlight for my grandson was the beautiful beach and swim area on Lake Leelanau that was within walking distance of the house. The beach was very clean and the water was crystal clear.

This house had everything we wanted.

The house was very comfortable and in a pleasant neighborhood an easy walk to town. We had everything we needed; beach chairs, bikes, and kayaks, that were delivered to the beach for us. And the owner was very helpful.

Private, Roomy & Beautiful

The property is surrounded by beautiful landscaping that provides privacy along with a wonderful fragrance. The house felt roomy for our 5 adult-1child party. Loved having the use of the 2 kayaks and 3 bicycles. While the kitchen was small, the charcoal grill and the gas grill on the property helped give more cooking capacity. Lake Leelanau is a short walk from the property. The walk to Fishtown is also very doable. Bruce was always available for questions or advice. The only thing that would have improved our stay would have been a fire pit for the chilly nights. Loved our stay!

Quintessential (but updated) Leland home! Located next to all that Leland has to offer but surrounded by a quiet setting and peaceful neighbors. The owner was a delight to work with and made everything easy.

Couples Weekend Get Away

What a great cottage. The pictures of the flower packed yard are right on and beautiful. The beds were very comfortable and the double shower on the main floor was to die for! The cottage is equipped with everything you need and very up-to-date. That includes the refer with an ice maker. The beach is down the road, the golf course across the street and the Riverside Inn Restaurant only 4 blocks away. You have many opportunities to visit wineries in and around the area for tastings. The front deck is perfect for cocktails and appetizers so you can take in the beauty of the flowers and birds. The owner is great to work with and very understanding. We will return next spring! We’re old Leland hands, going back several generations, to about 1898. Our present house was built in 1972, when my parents decided to be the first in the family to stay the winter; they loved the year-round life in Leland and so did I as a youngster. I went off to MSU, grad school in Arizona, and a stint in Mexico City, but could not resist the pull of Leland, so returned several years ago. My wife and I now share the beauty and wonderful life of the north, enjoying sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, biking and gardening during the warm months. Wintertime brings skiing, snowboarding, and skating, with lots of warming up by the fire afterwards. Five grandchildren try to keep up with us!

This property was part of a large parcel of land in Leland, much of which is still owned by my grandmother’s family, the Chandlers. The house was built as a retirement spot by my parents and eventually was passed on to me.

This special spot is hard to beat in Leland, or anywhere in the world for that matter. The gentle breezes and deep blue skies have an effect on the soul that never leaves. Wander down Juniper Trail to the lake or to town, you won’t be sorry.
