Njut av Adirondack-livsstilen i denna helt nya, avskilda timmerstuga. Cayuga Cabin ligger i slutet av en 150 fots uppfart på en lugn väg i "Ausable Acres" och erbjuder en lugn tillflyktsort men ligger nära alla High Peaks attraktioner. Husdjur är välkomna.

Cayuga Cabin är en 5 minuters promenad till fiskeåtkomst i den berömda West Branch of the Ausable River och 15 minuter till Whiteface Mountain, Santa's Workshop och High Falls Gorge. Den olympiska byn Lake Placid är mindre än 25 minuter liksom Ausable Chasm - landets äldsta naturliga attraktion. Montreal, Quebec och Burlington, Vermont är enkla dagsturer. De bästa vandring, cykling, fiske, paddling och längdskidåkning i de höga topparna är allt nära till hands. När du kommer hem från en dag med Adirondack-äventyr, koppla av på det rymliga däck eller i bubbelbadkaret.

Inom Ausable Acres-utvecklingen har du tillgång till flera vandrings- och längdskidspår, tennisbanor och området Lake Eaton Picnic & Playground. För golfaren finns det 6 banor som sträcker sig från 10 till 60 minuter bort.

5 minuter bort ligger "Jay-simningshålet" på East Branch of the Ausable River som listades i Sports Illustrated som på de 10 bästa simningshålen i USA. Detta är också platsen för Jay Covered Bridge, nyligen renoverad och en vacker plats att tillbringa en eftermiddag.

Cayuga Cabin är fullt möblerad för alla längre vistelser - fullt kök, diskmaskin och tvättmaskin / torktumlare och till och med en bubbelpool finns i lokalerna. Två TV-apparater med DVD-spelare gör Cayuga Cabin mycket familjevänlig.

Rick and Sue’s cabin was a great base camp for doing all the things we had planned for our vacation-sightseeing and lots of hiking in the beautiful ADK mountains. The cabin suited our needs especially as our dog was welcome. Rick was responsive and friendly, and check in/out was super easy.

Check in was the simplest I've ever encountered using any platform. The house was ready for us at arrival, well stocked with the necessities and comfortable. Even for a hot July weekend, the cabin stayed cool. Bathrooms were great, and having more than one shower was an added bonus for a group of 5. We used the firepit every night, and cooked all of our meals in the kitchen without any issues. It's a quiet neighborhood but only 15 minutes away from endless activities. Super huge bonus for being dog-friendly. We loved the place; don't hesitate to book.

Great stay!

Enjoyed the cabin. Nice size and nice quiet location. Loved using the fire pit. Appreciated that basics like toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, hand and dish soap, etc. were provided.

Great experience

We originally booked for 3 nights, but loved it so much we extended our stay 2 extra nights. Host was flexible in working with us to negotiate pricing for the extra time. Very responsive, friendly and helpful! Perfect cozy cabin for our family of 5. Cleanliness could’ve been better but nothing major. Microwave handle was broken and legs on the couch were too, didn’t stop our family from having a great time though! Would 100% stay again!

Lovely cabin

Cabin is very pretty 2 bathrooms the queen bed was very comfortable we slept very well. Indoor wood burning stove works really well. We used it when lights went out a few hours. Owner came to greet us and to help with power outage. Had a very comfortable stay. I highly recommend this place close to some absolutely beautiful places and restaurants.

Beautiful Cabin the the Woods

My boyfriend and I took my parents up to the ADK and stayed at this cabin for 3 nights. The cabin was clean, warm and welcoming. Rick and Sue were very responsive and answered all of our questions regarding local attractions and hikes, etc. We will absolutely be staying again!

Good but could be stellar

The area is nice with the cabin nestled into the woods. Plenty of firewood for the stove for the winter. This could be a 5-star cabin with a few changes.The kitchen was quite in disarray with many broken items. Microwave handle was broken off, sink sprayer handle was broken, and the faucet was not installed correctly so that the whole unit spun on top of the sink when you tried to reposition it. The hole for the sink was also cut too large, making it look very janky. The kitchen could also use a few more cooking dishes and simple stock items like butter and oil (things you need a little bit of and people don’t like to buy to use once) which would go along way for a more enjoyable stay.Overall, the place was clean and the stay pleasant.

PERFECTION

Great quiet and beautiful location; even more beautiful with fresh powder snow and a good amount of it for a change. Quiet location but close to all that we wanted to do. Great downhill and backcountry skiing closeby. Anything we needed was at our fingertips at this fully stocked home. So cozy and comfy!

Woodsy cabin

We stayed with our dog for a few days. The place is simple and neat. The neighborhood was quiet. We went skiing one day at Whiteface which is about a 25 minute drive because you have to drive so far into the residential development. The place doesn't have a lot of extras - like a big screen tv or bluetooth speaker but that wasn't an issue for us. The place was clean but not luxury. But, the price reflects that appropriately. We would stay here again.

Such a beautiful well maintained property! It was equipped with everything we needed (except food 😆) The beds were extremely comfortable, everything worked as it should, the fireplace was warm & inviting & with plenty of wood to keep those fires burning! The only problem was, you cannot use the dvd player. It is a dvd/vhs player & is too old to work with the newer tv. We brought our Roku so it didn't matter… We will definitely be back! Thank you Rick & Sue!

Nice Chalet for a Short Stay

Chalet is very cozy and is a great space for a family or friends gathering. Kitchen has all the implements you need and had good heating for cold weather. House is only 20 minutes away from Whiteface Mountain and 30 minutes to the Village of Lake Placid.

My wife Sue and I moved into the Adirondacks in 2002 after living on the shores of Lake Champlain in Plattsburgh, NY for 10 years. Not a bad place to live at all but it was time for a change. We fell in love with the Adirondacks, and specifically 'Ausable Acres' on our first visit. You will too. It is quiet, wooded with wildlife everywhere.

We purchased the undeveloped lot in 2004 and completed our log home in 2006. We are very proud of ourselves :) We take great satisfaction in the complements we get from our most wonderful past guests.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The Cayuga Cabin is completely furnished. The kitchen is equipped with all pots, pans, utensils right down to coffee filters and dish-washing detergent. All linens and towels are provided as is toilet paper, paper towel and tissues along with bottled hand soap. There is a washer & dryer and detergent in the 2nd bathroom. All you need to bring are clothes & food! We also have an outdoor shower and provide wood for the woodstove and outdoor firepit.
