Du kommer att vara säker på att uppskatta kombinationen av gammaldags charm och hantverk, samt moderna bekvämligheter i detta hem! Njut av den privata poolen, steka s'mores vid eldstaden, en omgång basket eller bara ta en kort promenad till staden för Shermans glass. Parkering kommer inte att vara krångel eftersom detta hem ligger bara två kvarter från allt folk älskar om South Haven! Observera att ping pong och biljardbord finns i det ouppvärmda spelrummet i garaget.

Poolen är för närvarande planerad att vara stängd den 30 september eller runt. Om du är intresserad av att stanna en hel vecka under högsäsongen september till april, skicka in en förfrågan med dina resdatum och vi kan gärna leverera veckopriser för din resa. Om ett husdjur är på semester med dig läggs en icke-återbetalningsbar avgift för husdjur till efter godkännande av din bokningsförfrågan.

The pool was very nice and the proximity to the beach was convenient but this house is VERY worn out. There was a plumbing leak that soaked the old carpet heading into the kitchen, that you had to walk through several times a day. We complained and they came out and dried the carpet, but it was wet later that evening. Very awkward layout of the floors and closed doors. We have rented several houses in SH, but you do not get your money's worth with this house.

This met our needs….it was ok

Family vacation, with all of our kids and grandchildren, is something we all look forward to! The seven bedrooms were exactly what we needed although the beds are overall not very comfortable. Master suite is lacking the luster of a decent bathroom, my husband would hit his head if he wasn’t careful on the ceiling. We were greeted by a dead mouse under the movable island in the kitchen, property management responded the next morning saying they would come take care of it, with small children and it being in the kitchen, well my husband took care of it right away! The hot tub is not in working order and the “portable hot tub” was basically a blow up tub outside. The pool was of course a hit! In my opinion they way keep it too warm. Even on 90 degree days it was not refreshing and felt like bath water. Being close to the beach and downtown was awesome! Plenty of board games and things to do in the barn. It felt almost like we were stepping back in time in this house, creaky doors and wooden floors, glass doorknobs that we figured out how to open with a hint of modern upgrades- stove and refrigerator. Lots of old charm. Pictures showed an extra fridge in the laundry room but it was not there. That would be very helpful. The driveway fit almost all of our vehicles which was a huge plus due to the Blueberry Festival was all weekend (sad to say I didn’t see one blueberry lol) Good times for the whole family and memories to last a lifetime!

Family getaway

The location is great - easily walkable to the beach and downtown. Check-in was very easy. Everyone enjoyed the pool, fire pit, pool table and ping pong table. There were a lot of pool floats in the garage as well as sand toys and a beach wagon. The fenced in yard was perfect for the dogs.

Good Points: spacious. Nice pool. Enough pool toys. Ample driveway space. Nice fire pit and outdoor chairs. Not Good Points: hot tub broke. Small replacement also broke. Not clean house; needed return visit by housekeeping. Wet carpet back hall. MBR toilet runs VERY slow. Pool cover pegs protruding; tripping hazard. Pool water chem abnormal; not fixed after complaint. Hammock broke. Refrig taking very long time to cool. MBR door handle not working. Various dresser drawer knobs loose or missing. Unstable dining room table. Very few bath towels. Some chair slip covers stained and torn. Lamp in living room not working.

South Haven Perfect Location

This property was very comfortable for a big group. There is a great pool, several outdoor porches and a firepit, and a barn with a pool table. It is close to town and the lake. The rooms were comfortable. The six bedrooms upstairs all had fans as well as a/c and were nice and cool. I worried that an older home may not be cool upstairs but that was not the case. We had 14 people and with the four different shower/bathrooms it was no problem. Great time with all ages in our family.

Christmas 2023

This house is comfortable, warm and spacious. The location to downtown, parks and shoreline is perfect. Every bed was a welcome retreat. We will return to this house that accommodates 10+ adults and a toddler.

The location and neighborhood was so great, cleaning very good, Bathrooms locks were broken and the hot spa was not working that was disappointed. Need more update inside the house

Family Get-Away

We wanted a low key Father’s Day weekend get-away to spend with our dad. This house gave us that and then some. We not only had a beautiful house to stay in, we also had a great place to enjoy ourselves and have that family bonding we hadn’t had in years. My family appreciated everything this house had to offer.. pool, ping-pong table, pool table, etc. Thank you to the staff who have been more than helpful and accommodating to us.

Fall getaway

We were a family of 13 celebrating an 80th birthday. The house accommodated us quite comfortably. We enjoyed that we could walk to the beach and downtown. There was plenty of thing to keep our young grandsons busy. The house was very clean, and the kitchen was well equipped.

Lots of fun things to do!

Great pool, out door fire pit area was very nice. Great location to walk to downtown and beach. Only reason not a 5 is lack of tvs in several bedrooms, tvs very difficult to work, with no instructions.

South Haven Summer

The Ross House was a perfect destination for our family of 16 (10 adults and 6 children from ages 3 to 19) to meet from near and far! The house was so charming and easily accommodated us! The kitchen was well-equipped and the outdoor amenities exceeded all expectations!! The pool, hot tub, game room, fire pit and porches provided spots for endless activities for all members of the family. And, the location could not be more perfect -- easily walkable to the beach, the harbor, the lighthouse, multiple playgrounds as well as the quaint downtown shopping/dining area. There could not be a more perfect location to enjoy all that South Haven has to offer!

Great. Everything for a nice vacation.

We love this place. Pool, hot tub, pool table, basket ball, fire pit, large kitchen to prepare meals, large table for eating and games, large living room. You never need to leave except for the beach and a dinner out.

Awesome home in a great location!

This was a perfect place for our family of three generations. We loved having the pool and hot tub, the fire pit and seating, close proximity to town and the beach. The garage had lots of fun things including a few bikes for our use. We would have loved having an additional refrigerator for drinks and overflow. We all love to cook and the fridge was packed the entire time. Also, grab bars in the bathrooms would be great to have ( we have a handicapped family member). Thanks for a great time!

Review

We loved the location of this property and of course the pool which was the main reason we booked it. But as far as what you get for the price, we were disappointed. The house is old and out dated. Things didn’t work properly (door handles, lights, peeling wallpaper/paint) The house itself, decor and landscaping could have used more attention. We arrived to the home with every trash can full to the brim and had to wait 2 days for garbage day. I guess we expected more for the amount of money we paid. But, overall the best part of it was the memories that were made with our large family on vacation for a week. South Haven is a special place for us and we will be back!

Perfect location, older house

Being 2 blocks from the beach AND 2 blocks from the town were huge positives for us. The listing does not show a picture of the actual pool, but do not worry about this - the pool is AMAZING. In the house, we did have an issue with a spot on the floor that was clearly getting wet from something beneath it... a leaky pipe? The property managers were VERY responsive and had someone look at it right away. They were also very patient/understanding with a mistake we made with leaving a hose running and kids getting into spots they weren't supposed to go... What is worth noting for this property is that being an older house, MOST of the bedrooms do not have a closet. There are some dressers, but a couple of hooks on the backs of doors or on the walls (that you can put hangers on) would really make it nicer. Also, as is common in older houses, it might be worth being aware that it isn't an open floor plan. The living room, for instance, where we hung out as a family, is around several corners from the kitchen. That being said, the bathrooms were spacious and nicely updated (except the master bathroom, that was a bit tight), lots of fluffy towels, and the kitchen was well-stocked. The house is beautiful and easily fit our family reunion of 15 people and 3 different families.
