Oavsett om det är ett romantiskt mellanspel, familjens kul eller lugn ensamhet vid havet, är vår gästlägenhet - Deja Bu - precis där du vill vara för en härlig kustflykt. Du kan inte låta bli att älska "Bu (Malibu till lokalbefolkningen)!

Denna charmiga 1 sovrum / 1bath gästlägenhet har din egen privata uteplats med havsutsikt, egen ingång, fullt kök, tvättmaskin / torktumlare, helkaklade golv och möbler av hög kvalitet. Beläget på en lugn gata bara 400 meter från havet när kråkan flyger och en två minuters bilresa, fyller den förtrollande blå Stilla havet det expansiva fönsterutsikten från alla rum i lägenheten. I själva verket kommer du aldrig tröttna på att stirra över det bedrövande och ständigt föränderliga havet från queen size-sängen. Från vår höjd på 380 fot på en klar dag kan du se flera Kanalöar inklusive Catalina, och om du har tur kan du till och med spionera en val och hennes kalv på väg norrut från Mexiko.

Inom några minuter från Malibus underbara stränder inklusive den världsberömda Zuma-stranden, Leo Carrillo-stranden och Paradise Cove, och en mängd vandrings- och mountainbikespår som går med i den 65 mil långa ryggleden i Santa Monica-bergen, ligger denna lägenhet bara en kort kör från Pepperdine University, Malibu Pier, vingårdar, det världsberömda Getty Villa antikvitetsmuseet och anmärkningsvärda butiker och restauranger i Malibu. Lägenheten är också en utmärkt utgångspunkt för vägcyklister som rider på den natursköna rutten Pacific Coast Highway till Point Mugu. För att åka med bil är det cirka 45 minuter från Santa Monica och 75 minuter från Santa Barbara. Många av Los Angeles museer, inklusive det berömda Getty Center och Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), ligger inom 60 minuters bilresa.

Men vi är fortfarande tillräckligt långt ifrån stadsljusen för att ge utsikt över stjärnklara nätter, mjölkvägen, moonglow på havet och till och med den enstaka raketuppskjutningen på natten från Vandenberg Air Force Base.

spectacular view!

This place exceeded our expectations! We couldn't get enough of the patio looking out on the ocean. It was spotless, the bed was great and the owners were really nice and helpful.

Dream Malibu Getaway!

This place was so dreamy and peaceful. Just minutes away from beautiful beaches. Thoroughly enjoyed the sunrise and sunset from the patio. Clean, comfortable bed and everything you need. Wonderful hosts! Perfect stay!

Wonderful stay/Amazing ocean view!

I stayed with my parents before traveling to Santa Barbara last weekend. Larry and Nancy provided a cozy stay for us. They're beautiful home offers full amenities and a stunning view perched atop the Malibu hillside. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Malibu.

Beautiful, quiet, and cozy

We had the absolute best time during our stay. The house had more than we even needed (towels, washer/dryer, games, etc.) and Nancy and Larry were so helpful with suggestions on places to go and making sure we had everything we needed at the house and for days out on the beach. We would love to go back next time we visit the area.

Larry and his wife were kind and attentive, but not intrusive. The spaces were as described, but better. The guidebook is so full of great info and insiders information. We can't wait to go back!

Peaceful

Many thanks to Larry and Nancy for creating a great place to spend our holidays. Our expectations were exceeded by the cleanliness and peaceful setting. They have a high attention to detail, as the apartment was very well equipped. Looking forward to staying here again in the near future.

Relaxing and beautiful place

I loved my stay at Larry’s place. It’s a great location close to the beach and hiking areas. Larry and his wife are welcoming and hospitable. I stayed by myself this time but would love come back with family because I think it has all the right amenities for adult to children to enjoy, especially the garden in the back yard if you just want to relax with family. Thank you for sharing your home Larry!

Wonderful Malibu Experience!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful VRBO property. Larry and Nancy were such gracious hosts. Everything was as described, which is important when booking online. Mailbu Dream!

Larry and Nancy were the PERFECT hosts and their home not only lived up to the reviews and the listing...but well exceeded them! The process was easy, all info needed was readily accessible, the property was in immaculate shape and and we just could not have asked for more! The views...are from Heaven, the area full of things to do and the food spectacular! Planning on making this an annual trip and and could not have been happier getting our slice of the Malibu life courtesy of the Stokesberry's!

Just What We Hoped For!

In need of a restful break, we found this lovely apartment. Quiet, beautifully situated, private, and those views... we fully enjoyed the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets on the covered patio. The close proximity to local beaches was so convenient. A very clean and well-stocked apartment, including TV and good wi-fi. Though not fancy, it was very comfortable. The "enchanted citrus grove" was an added bonus, as were the freshly picked tangerines and grapefruit. The hosts are lovely people, and we hope to return as often as we can!

Beautiful destination

Our small family of 3 just LOVED staying at Larry’s place! It was perfect for what we needed and wanted. Larry was very easy to communicate with. He and his wife were so helpful and kind! He helped us with our booking process. They were on location when we arrived to teach us how to park and where everything was. They were incredibly quiet, which is everything we needed more when we stay at vrbo’s. The location was gorgeous! The kitchenette had everything we needed too! I would absolutely stay here again, and recommend it to anyone!!!

Absolutely Delightful

Everything about the property and the hosts ( thank you, both ) is perfection A gorgeous place to stay with views of the ocean out of every window Lovely terrace with plants and great decorations, table , chairs - plus a quiet secluded orchard with benches to either think or even not to think. Some of the tangerines were even ripe enough to snack on. I live in the western mountains of NC and am in the disaster area from Helene ( we had massive tree damage) so this trip was what I needed. Perfect place for some needed peace I was even treated to a Space X launch in total open view from this property And beautiful sunsets every night to the west over the ocean And then beautiful sunrises every morning to the east I could not ask for more

Exceptional 2 week stay

After originally booking 1 week, had to extend to 2! Couldn't ask for more accommodating hosts....Larry and Nancy give the perfect balance between privacy and helpfulness - always available if anything needed and offering plenty of space otherwise. The place is on its own level with a very large outdoor patio. It's set on a hill giving incredible views of the Pacific in the day, and far enough from city lights for stargazing at night (saw 2 shooting stars in 1 night!). It's set in a quiet neighborhood of homes on large lots which offer plenty of space between them. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway!

Wonderful California Experience

I would have liked to stay here a month, but was able to stay just a week. The apartment is bright, homey, and impeccably clean. I loved the ocean views from every window. Relaxing on the patio and having lunch overlooking the ocean was so calming! Larry/Nancy were marvelous hosts with great suggestions for activities and restaurants. They kindly loaned me a backpack and sun hat so I could go on a day hike at the Channel Islands. I loved exploring the Malibu area, driving through the Santa Monica Mountains, and heading into museums in Los Angeles. This was the perfect home base for my Wonderful California Experience!

Sunrise Delight

This accommodation, “Deja Bu”, is without question our favorite place to be away from home. We have had the pleasure of enjoying this space on four separate occasions and absolutely love it. On our most recent visit in January we were treated to the most magnificent sunrises and sunsets we have ever seen. We have always been impressed by the cleanliness of the apartment, and thoroughly enjoy the interesting and eclectic furnishings. What fun! Such tasteful and unique decor. Nancy and Larry are wonderful hosts, available if you need them, but total privacy is assured. You have your own locked entrance and can keep your own hours. A helpful guide to local restaurants and points of interest is provided. This is truly a special place for us and we hope to enjoy it's charms again and again. A great place for a first, second, or third honeymoon!

Malibu apartment

We were very impressed with our stay here. The view of the Pacific Ocean and close proximity to everything in Malibu places this on the top of our list. We will definitely return here in the future. Also, the get acquainted binder was very helpful to reference regarding the apartment, restaurants in the area, and other attractions.

Great sea view and hikes

The view of Ventura coast from the apartment is beautiful. There’s some great hikes a few miles up from the house. My husband really like sitting outside at the table every morning to have breakfast. The apartment is part of the owner’s house. We hardly heard them moving around above us. The apartment does smell musty and damp, not sure if this was from the furniture or the apartment itself, even after trying to air it - the smell remained. We did contact the owner to ask him to change the polyester bed sheets and he didn’t get back to us for a day, in which time we’d bought our own cotton sheets. He apologized and I believe it was a genuine oversight.

The guest apartment is the ground floor of a lovely Malibu home. When the owners (who live on the second floor) realized they didn’t need so much room for just the two of them, they decided to offer the lower level as a guest apartment. Both are avid tennis players, pickle ball players, beach volleyball players and hikers, so they can point you in the right direction for a myriad of the wonderful outdoor activities Malibu has to offer.
