Vår La Casa Sirena (The Mermaid House) på Bahia Vista i Avalon på den vackra Santa Catalina Island erbjuder prisvärd lyx bara tre kvarter från stranden! Vi erbjuder dig gratis WIFI, Netflix, BBQ och propan på en privat uteplats, pool och spa! Vi renoverade helt i 2013 och lägger trägolv hela 2019! Fastigheten har smakfull Catalina och sjöjungfru-tema inredning, kul för hela familjen! Vi har två rymliga sovrum på övervåningen plus en nere vik och kan bekvämt sova sex. I mästaren, njut av en king size-säng, walk-in dubbla huvud dusch, dubbelfänglighet i en frodig, terrakotta miljö. Det andra sovrummet har bekväma enkelsängar i ett nautiskt tema. Gästbadet har ett bubbelbadkar mitt bland rika marmorplattor. En bekväm dagbädd / trille ner med utdrag fullbordar boende. Och som namnet antyder finns det många mermaids att hitta! De flesta enheter på Bahia Vista är tillgängliga för uthyrning, vilket gör komplexet perfekt för familjeåterförening eller flera familjer som vill semestra tillsammans men har separata logi. PS - Till skillnad från några stora företag är vi stolta över att bara ta ut vad vårt rengöringsföretag betalar oss med ingenting tackat och inga andra avgifter, vilket gör våra fastigheter till ett utmärkt värde! Spacious and comfortable

I stayed here in the spring with my parents and two daughters. It's on the outskirts of town but the town is so small that my mom had no trouble walking here from the ferry terminal (she's in her late seventies with only average mobility for her age). Super close to the one grocery store and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals.

Great location, great property

I came to Catalina island with 2 friends to run the marathon. We had a great stay. The location of the property was very close to everything. It was very clean and well stocked. We would definitely chose this property again in the future.

Catalina weekend

Our 2nd visit to Catalina after 30 years. This time we brought our daughter and grandson. The condo was reasonably priced, a great location and had a pool and hot tub to use. The unit was clean, a perfect size for the 4 of us, a very comfortable mattress, and a friendly and responsive property manager who helped us navigate a new tv!Our only criticism was the absence of hand soap and Kleenex. We eventually got some small soap bars, but with a baby, hand soap would have been better, along with Kleenex!!Thank you for a wonderful stay. We hope to be back again this year!attentive resounding

Wonderful stay!

We loved the hot tub and pool. The grocery store was just a short walk away and room 5 was very close to pool. The steep stairs up to bedrooms were a bit hard for elderly couple but doable.

Mermaids rule

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was very comfortable for five of us. The pool, jacuzzi, jacuzzi tub were all nice features. There was enough pots, pans, plates, etc for the stay. The location also worked out. Would be very happy to stay there again in the future.

Long wedding weekend in September

We were there for a long weekend and a wedding. It was walking distance to downtown and the ferry. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. It was a quiet area at night. We did not use the kitchen or TVs but everything looked nice and everything was there to use if needed. There was a nice patio and balcony to sit on and the ceiling fans kept everything cool. Overall a great experience.

4th of July Fun!

The condo was very cute and all the beds were very comfortable. We were provided with everything we needed for the weekend. Chela, the property manager was very responsive when we needed new lightbulbs and a toilet chain broke. We enjoyed our stay here very much.

Relaxing stay on Catalina

My family stayed for 2 nights over Memorial Day weekend. It was very comfortable for my wife and I and our 3 kids. The location is a short walk from the harbor, but it’s further back where it’s quieter. Great location and we’d stay again.

A lovely base for Catalina family adventures

The townhome was clean and comfortable. Easy location. The pool area has been out of commission for a long time so not sure what that is about.

Spacious and clean

We were happy with the digs. Spacious rooms and not too far into town. The beds were comfortable and the place was very well prepared and cleaned. We could not figure out the TV so instructions should be added.

Avalon VRBO

The unit was spacious. We had problems with the toilets and we heard a screeching sound from one of the bathrooms that continued through the night. This noise was so loud we weren't able to sleep. The property manager was gracious and came to our unit around 9 PM and fixed one of the toilets. We also had to purchase bath gel for the shower and soap for hand washing.

Charming place with a few miscues

The pool has been out of service for over 6 months and does not appear to be anywhere near ready for use, but the property description still shows there is a pool available. Be aware there is no pool. There were a few missing odds and ends in the kitchen, otherwise we had a very pleasant stay.

Wonderful stay

We had a total blast. The weather was perfect and the distance to town was easily walkable. My only feedback would be that their were still a former renters clothes in the drawers of one room upon arrival - one park of kids underwear and another drawer w some womens clothes. Also one of the phone numbers on the instructions was wrong and so I had to call chela instead of the property manager Ipon checkout to make sure it was clear we left on time. But that’s truly minor compared to the great (super easy) communication and instructions we had w the owners prior to arrival. Still a five star experience.

House not cleaned upon arrival

Check-in time for this property was 3:00 pm. When we arrived at 3:45, the property had not been cleaned since the last check-out. Called the property manager who was apologetic and sent out a cleaning crew, but we started our stay by sitting outside for over an hour while waiting for the place to be cleaned. Aside from the rough start, the place was comfortable and was plenty of room for our party of 4

Not an accurate description

We booked this place specifically because of the pool and hot tub. Imagine our disappointment when we get there and the pool and hot tub are in the midst of being repaired. The description says the pool and hot tub will be closed for repairs in 2023. Our trip was in February of 2024 and still not done. The address given is incorrect. Brought us to the wrong place. It was very confusing. I would put the correct address here but I'm sure it's not allowed. I will contact the host and explain the issue with the address and, hopefully, she will make the correction. Other than that, the unit was immaculate. Close to everything. Well appointed kitchen. T.V. in both bedrooms which I appreciate.

Your Hosts, Mel and Leslie är värd

Mel Dinkel and Leslie Baer Dinkel met on non-other than Santa Catalina Island. A few years later, we were married at Descanso Beach (highly recommended!) in Avalon. Catalina holds so many memories for us, and since we are not on the Island all the time, we wanted to create an 'affordable luxury' accommodation where people could make their own memories! Since lots of families come to Catalina, it had to be fun -- thus, 'La Casa Sirena' (The Mermaid House) which includes both Catalina and Mermaid themes, bright-colored and interesting tiles and aesthetic, along with a closet just for beach accessories! It also had to be romantic for couples, and so, the lush natural woods, leathers and stone, Cal King bed, fun master shower for two and extra-wide jacuzzi! In short, we wanted it to be comfortable enough to be our home away from home, and yours too!

Our properties are well appointed and conveniently located. No big firms, no outrageous extra fees. Our units are now privately managed and an excellent value!
