Love the Little Yellow Cottage

Cute place, kitchen is well stocked and located in walking distance to most everything in Mahone Bay. Owners are very helpful and friendly! We would stay there again.

Perfect location- cute cottage

Great location for walking and exploring Mahone Bay. An easy drive to Lunenburg and other sights. The cottage was clean, well equipped and the beds were comfortable.

Ideal cottage get-away

We had a lovely stay in this charming cottage. Easy walk to bakery, coffee shops, grocery store, as well as all the sights of Mahone Bay :0). Back deck is peaceful and a great space for dinner or morning cofffee. Host was very responsible, thank you Maureen and Bary

Mahone is such a cute town! The house ws easy to locate, close to everythig, clean, has many utensils and everythig you need. Highly recommend!

Lovely Home in Mahone Bay

This is a lovely older 2 bedroom home in Mahone Bay, within walking distance of much of the town. Maureen is very nice and made sure everything was fine. We really enjoyed our stay. I would rent the house again.

wonderful spot

Maureen and Barry’s little house was perfect for us, a couple in our 60’s. Spacious for 2, clean as could be, exactly as advertised. We loved Mahone Bay and the fact that it’s attractions are a short walk from the house on Cherry Lane. We used the house as the starting point for days trips to Lunenburg, to Peggy’s Cove, Chester and Queensland Beach - and loved all of them. At night we used the Prime video account to watch some nice movies. We would highly recommend this lovely spot.

Our Happy Place

This cute, cozy cottage comes with charming hospitality by the owners and perfect location! It set the tone for the entire vacation! The cottage is centrally located within walking distance of all you want to see. It was clean and stocked with everything you need...right down to flashlights and battery operated candles which we used one night when there was a 2 hour outage.Absolutely loved this place, highly recommend and can't wait to go back! Don't miss the Coconut Creme Pie at JoAnn's Deli or the Reuben at Lahave Bakery or the beer at Salt Box Brewery.....

Sweet!

Cherry Lane cottage is a very sweet, clean and comfortable place to stay. The kitchen is roomy, and the dining area is bright and airy. We enjoyed our evenings, watching a bit of television before bed. After a long day of exploring Nova Scotia it was nice to sit down and relax for a bit. The downstairs of the cottage was very nice and cool, but we did struggle with humidity and heat in the upstairs bedrooms. Unfortunately, it was extremely hot while we were there and it would have been more comfortable had the weather not been so hot and humid. Having said that, we found Cherry Lane cottage to be a lovely place to stay.

Lovely cottage home in a great location. Easy walk to all ammenities. Maureen and Barry were easy to communicate with and responded quickly to any concerns. Cottage was well supplied with lots of useful items (kitchen spices, toiletries, laundry detergent, and excellent quality tissue and TP!) Loved the outdoor clothes line too!! Queen bedroom was quite small but still comfortable!

Cherry Lane

A beautiful well maintained and equipped little cottage in a very quiet location. All amenities were within easy walking distance as well as the Bay to Bay Trail. Great location for exploring the South Shore and beyond. We enjoyed our week at 25 Cherry Lane.

Perfect Cottage

Charming great little cottage fully equipped right down to a clothes line if you don’t wish to use the dryer, bbq and lovely back deck. Having 2 bathrooms was a bonus. Walking distance to stores, restaurants, etc all within 10 minutes. Excellent base to south shore destination- an hour to Halifax. Would book this one again in a heartbeat!

Must Have Vacation

My 2 sisters and my best girlfriend went there to celebrate my 70th birthday. Accommodation was great with beds for everyone as I myself could not make it up the stairs so slept on the couch downstairs. Plenty of bedding, towels, face cloths. Shower downstairs with a bathtub upstairs. Everything and anything you could possibly think of in amenities, name it they had it. Homey and comfortable with beautiful pictures on the wall, informative and relaxing. Definitely a place to return to. Thank you again Maureen and Barry. God Bless

Maureen Dorey är värd

We are a middle age couple who have raised 2 sons in Mahone Bay and have been married for 45 years. Barry has lived in the area all his life and Maureen is a come from away who fell in love with the South Shore way of life long before she met Barry.

Varför värden valde detta boende

This house was built in the late 1950's. Mahone Bay is renowned for it boatbuilding heritage and many past boatbuilders have built their houses in Mahone Bay with character and detail as they built their wooden boats. We love the character and have tried to preserve this as we did our renovations. The location is on a narrow lane which is not far from the downtown area but far enough that it is in a quiet location.
